Thank you so much for this, a big help! I finally got a soldering iron, and dug up the beats headphones I had been saving for years because I knew the part could be replaced. Finally got round to it.
Just wanna say, thank you for posting this video. I suck at soldering cuz I've never done it before, so I ruined the first part and had to order another, but the second time I had my dad who just so happens to be an electrical engineer help me, and it worked.
Man I enjoyed this video. Don’t know if I’ll ever try soldering. It maybe that’s the fix to me Beats Solo 3. Everything is great until the electrical source is disconnected. 😮😱
Thanks for the vid, mine charging light coming on and off like your but the battery never get full, or wont homd charge, do you think i need to replace the battery or the port
Getting my headphones fixed would cost me 250 euros they said. After this video I ordered the parts online, did it myself, and fixed my headphones for not even a tenth of the price. Took my some time as I didn't have any experience with soldering, but they are working again.
After my solder job the left earphone has static feedback. I know it was done in the right order but maybe I need to do a better job. Have you had this issue before?
My studio 2 wireless headphones wont tell me battery% and doesnt give audio, anybody got any ideas? When it does give battery led it says 4/5 and when connected is less then 10%.
wonder if replacing it with usb c port would work. I really hate micro USB, it is so hard to connect every time which is most likely why it breaks so often
Could be possible if you're able to find a USB C port that will fit the board, and you're good at SMD soldering. But you'd also have to modify the case to accommodate it.
I have a solo 3 I believe, and the charging port appears to be loose. To charge, the cord has to be held at a certain angle that is hard to find. Would this likely require a charging port replacement?
It's probably just a weak solder joint. The problem is that the solder joints are located under the USB port (surface mount), so it's not possible without specialised equipment to reflow the solder joints. So in this case, yes it's easier to replace the charger port and circuit board.

Any idea what the part number for beats studio 1 for this same repair?
Is it possible to change the port into an usb-c one, for convenience?
Did u ever find out if it could be swapped for a usb-c?
Should look bad because it will not fit right
Great job..

Oyeaaaa bro .
Tks
Where i can get the parts for fix
Google Amazon
What did you smear on the new board before you reattached the wires
Just scrubbed it with some isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts before soldering
what temperature do you solder at?
For something like this, usually between 330-350C
Usb jack link?
Is there a specific name for this usb board?
The part number is CSX-B105-USB V3R2
I have added this info to the video description, there is also a link to purchase it from AliExpress
I saw exactly the same speakers on Aliexpress
Thanks for the great video - I have the same problem. Did you use any solder or just heat up what was there?
Honestly I can't remember, but I dare say you will need to add some solder. Cheers
Great video you can now find the board on ebay for less then $10 dollars
Hey its on Amazon for $10-$13 !!
Was hoping this would work for me I’ve only had mine for a year 😢
Probably your actual battery then
Thanks man👍🇹🇷🇺🇸
Can I mail you mine to repair? Serious question
Sorry, but I have little time to do any repairs. And to be honest, it may not be worth it once you factor in parts, shipping and labour
Sawickipedia ok thank you
💎👁😁 Cool merci 🏆🦋🎀
Buen video
What normal person just has a soldering kit
True, I guess you could either consider getting one and learn how to use it - you will no doubt need it again some day, or write it off and move on
Ask your friends, you would be surprise how many have one
There dirt cheep you can get some for like 10-20
Yooo my usb wasn’t even connected
Can you fix my head phones ?
Complete garbage, these headphones. So many videos of how to fix them proves they are junk. So angry 😡
