Greetings fellows, how is your Halloween preparation month going? We still have nearly two weeks before the event, so any suggestions for Halloween style covers are highly appreciated!
Ghostbusters? 🥺
That would be enchanting!
How 'bout Lavender Town?
Making christmas
Grim Grinning Ghosts.
What about come little children? By the way, thanks for your amazing covers
Fun fact: there were no pumpkins in medieval Europe. Samhain lanterns, similar to modern Jack-o-Lanterns, were carved out of turnips.
I’m aware of this! 😃 and in fact it wasn’t until centuries later when Irish people started emigrating to America and they were first exposed to the Hollow, easy to cut and festively colored gourds in question that the Pumpkin became the traditional medium for Jack-O-Lanterns. 🎃
Now I'm imagining Samhain from The Real Ghostbusters with a big ol turnip head and I can't stop laughing.
And became all the more terrifying as they dried out.
Back when halloween is a celtic's traditional festival that commemorate the dead family member and jack o lantern was a turnip.
The Celts were extinct by the medieval period
They would've been celebrating all saints and all souls day
Its a matter of debate among scholars whether or not Samhain had any connection to the dead whatsoever or if was just a simple harvest festival. The dating of All Saint's Day being Nov. 1 originates among the Franks, which runs counter to the idea that it as an attempt to Christianize the Celtic festival of Samhain, which the Franks would be unlikely to know of and even unlikelier to care about.
@@3katfox No they weren't. Celtic practices continued in Ireland until 1550 AD, when the last Irish king was killed by the British. Not long after the Catholics took over. But that was almost to the end of the middle ages- the Industrial Revolution began in 1750.
@@renegadeoflife87 practices and people are different things.
I celebrate Thanksgiving am I a pilgrim?
I’m descended from welsh celts and Irish. A turnip jack o lantern is a tradition in my home every year but it did come from Ireland first.
Ah, when Lord Skellington cometh, we shall coronate him as the Pumpkin King
Yes, he is the true Pumpkin King!
I’ll come back when the comments have brewed a bit more and we can see some lyrics
It's been about 5 days u might wanna check now
@@Ins0mniBat I almost forgot thank you brother
@@justinnguyen3906 it's okay. I forgive you.
when what? you should already know them, this is the bards favourite tale in every inn
@@jipleo1 he's probably a sailor. Not too familiar with this part.
I can't believe Middle Ages invented Halloween!
Wait what?
@amygdala Yeah though, Interesting, The Irish actually invented Halloween
@amygdala Yeah that's why it was a joke but you never know, They may have had some event like that, Something with laterns and spirits
Okay, it was called samhain and was invented by the CELTS ( irish, scottish, etc.) to celebrate the harvest moon and children dressed up to ward off spirits. It was thought to have originated around 1192 a.d.
@@djamtz It's been around for 5,000 years.
I feel like this should be the theme of a small child who can sense spiritual activity and beings, unaware that this is considered "wrong" and "cursed" in his village, but the child goes frolicking late in the woods, when the moon is full, playing with their friends from the beyond.
Yes I was kind of thinking of the same thing but a little different 🌟👍🏼😎 I think it sounds like a good story for a novel, I’m going to do just that , incorporate a story relating to this idea in my book series the dark amulet that I’m writing 🌟😎👍🏼
Oh my Lord This sounds like a great story!
Can I steal the idea?
Tis All Hallow's Eve! Tis All Hallow's Eve!
IT FITS AND I LOVE IT
W H Y D O E S T H I S F I T S O W E L L ! ?
After listening to this is Aperture I can’t I unhear those lyrics
First thing I thought after just reading the title
I hear "This is Hot Topic"
Same here
Right?! XD hahaha
For some reason this version reminds me "Midsomer Murders
" theme
Is it me or is that theme incredibly creepy.
The midsomer murders theme is a bop
@@noobiusmaximus6314 creepy, eerie... and awesome
Happy Hallow’s Eve everyone.
*All Hallow's Eve
I put a spell on you but the hocus pocus version!
Actually come little children would be pretty dope too
Yesss
Me: *Misreads "Medieval" with "Metal" for some reason*
*Gets confused when I hear the lute*
reminds me of the sherlock intro omg
SAMHAIN FOREVER!
Samhain!! 💪💪🎃🎃🇨🇮🇨🇮
Next one should be “monster mash”
I wast w'rking in the lab, late one night
at which hour mine own eyes did behold an e'rie sight
f'r mine own monst'r from his slab, beganeth to riseth
and suddenly to mine own hoyday
that gent didst the mash, that gent didst the monst'r mash
the monst'r mash, t wast a graveyard smasheth
that gent didst the mash, t hath caught on in a flasheth
that gent didst the mash, that gent didst the monst'r mash
from mine own lab'rat'ry in the castle east
to the mast'r bedroom wh're the vampires feast
the ghouls all cameth from their humble abodes
to receiveth a jolt from mine own electrodes
those gents didst the mash, those gents didst the monst'r mash
the monst'r mash, t wast a graveyard smasheth
those gents didst the mash, t hath caught on in a flasheth
those gents didst the mash, those gents didst the monst'r mash
the carrions w're having excit'ment, the party hadst just begun
the guests did include wolfman, dracula, and his son
the scene wast rockin', all w're digging the sounds
ig'r on chains, back'd by his baying hounds
the coffin-bang'rs w're about to arriveth
with their vocal group, 'the crypt-kick'r five'
those gents did play the mash, those gents did play the monst'r mash
the monst'r mash, t wast a graveyard smasheth
those gents did play the mash, t hath caught on in a flasheth
those gents did play the mash, those gents did play the monst'r mash
out from his coffin', drac's voice didst ringeth
seemeth that gent wast troubl'd by just one thing
that gent hath opened the lid and shaked his fist and hath said
“whatev'r hath happened to mine own transylvania twisteth?
t's anon the mash, t's anon the monst'r mash
the monst'r mash, t wast graveyard smasheth
t's anon the mash, t hath caught on in a flasheth
t's anon the mash, t's anon the monst'r mash
anon ev'rything's merit, drac's a parteth of the band
and mine own monst'r mash is the hitteth of the landeth
f'r thee, the living this mash wast meanteth too
at which hour thee receiveth to mine own doth'r, bid those folk b'ris hath sent thee
then thee can mash, then thee can monst'r mash
the monst'r mash and doth mine own graveyard smasheth

@@AbrahamLincoln4 I miss nightmare before Christmas
That's... not correct. But I get the energy.
Even tho it should be “all souls day” or “Samhain” instead of Halloween I like it
Plot Twist: Jack Skellington is the Great Pumpkin which Linus van Pelt waits for every Halloween night.
I can sense the inquisition coming for my pagan head 🎃
Lol!!
Mine too 🤣🤣🤣
Hello heretics i got a nice pire and nose just for you here if you don't repent XD
Thy is *SPOOPY* season
The Celtic chanting at the beginning had an almost Halo: Combat Evolved vibe.
It's not Celtic chanting but Gregorian chanting.
@@deathroman13 same difference.
@@Dargonhuman No it definitely isn't.
@@deathroman13 Eh, close enough.
@@DargonhumanWell to be fair, Gregorian Chant is primarily Latin. If it was based around Celts chanting - it would be in the native Irish language ( Gaeilge ).
Omgosh the gregorian singing in the beginning!! I adored it!! Great job 👌
Any idea which chant it’s from?
When the holy times are upon us yet we continue to grasp onto hallows day
At 13th Friday I shall go outside and look to the sky, hoping the burned Templars are safe in Father's. paradise.
The wolf howls are heavenly. 💜
Merry Samhain for all
Happy New Year🧛 (Samhain)!

Ooooh! Love this! You should cover “Wuthering Heights” by Kate Bush next!
I love the picture
Yes this awesome
Gave me chills
Wouldn't the pumpkin be a turnip, since that was the original Jack O Lantern.
Amazing
Honestly, this is the best version of this song
Could've used vocals though, but its great.
Nailed it!
“Heir, heir, tis thou pumpkin king”
Love this!
Happy All Hallows eve
So pleasant ^-^
Omfg. I grew up in a cult where everyone was like obsessed with Gregorian chant, and this could not be more spot on.
*its only November but im starting to miss Halloween*
I like how this cover and the one for "Spooky Scary Skeletons" starts with Gregorian chant.
Whoa... It sounds beautiful and very, very creepy. I actually got chills.)
This works better in this style than a lot of the 80s synth songs
Ah... This is sweet! 🎃
Amazing! °¬°
Good shit
Disney rocks!
"This be our town of all Hallows Eve"
Happy All Hallows E'en
How can this channel be 4 months old? I mean it's like it has been here for a thousand years..

Happy Halloween 2020! *o.O*
Back then we still had Samhain secretly tho because that’s “witch craft”
This sounds like a goosebumps wii sound track.
Yes
not gonna lie, an alternate version without the spooky sfx would be nice. still awesome though :)
GREEETINGS FROM MEDIEVAL ITALY
Irish lads in the middle ages cutting faces in their gourds to ward off foul demons and spectres be like.
How did I know this would be coming?
you should do thriller
This is Samhain.
“In our town of hallows eve...”
Blessed Samhain
The ultimate crossover between Halloween town and dark souls
'Tis Time
The choirs was literally sayin "Osana" in the beginning lmao
This should be the music I’d Halloween Town comes back in Kingdom Hearts 4
Stingy Jack liked this.
this sounds like something i would hear being played in a cabin in a haunted forest
I mean the type of clothing that Jack Skellington is wearing he probably was in the medieval time (or maybe someone live the time were the medieval stuff are almost gone)
Fun fact in middle age, make jack o'lantern to turnip. pumpkin is American vegetable. no ate middle🎃
Can u do Imperial March? It's spookily lovely and badass
Another hit for the ages
Do Halloween - Helloween next
Funny and witty.;-)
Dissemble 'r treateth!
