I tried in vain the first set of lives, decided 'fuck this' then beat the game, it was one of the last stations I cleared and I first tried Curling bomb (THAT didn't work), then decided to be lame, splat bomb and shot EZ win (not really, like the ending of After Alterna I realised the specials are bait and then still struggled, but not as much)
Jesus, every Splatoon story starting from Octo Expansion has that ONE level that everyone hates. "Girl Power Station" here, "One-Way Ride Through Target Town" in Return of the Mammalians, "Cruel_Sisyphean_Eight-Shaped.Floor" in Side Order... ...does Nintendo just love throwing hard-as-hell levels at random moments in Splatoon's single-player modes?
Also, by the way, there are WAAAY more in Return of the Mammalians then just that one example. "Deadly Dance Hall-Jump, Jump!", "Those Aren't Birds", "Enter the Stamp Gauntlet"...Nintendo, RotM is the MAIN GAME'S STORYLINE. *WHY DID YOU MAKE IT SO HARD?!* _(and yes, "After Alterna" is one of those levels, but since it's MEANT to be the hardest level by default, since you unlock it after beating all the other levels, I don't count it)_
I started my Splatoon journey with Splatoon 3 and played exclusively on sticks for like my first 20 hours of the game. But One-Way Ride Through Target Town single handedly made me swap to using motion controls and even get a pro controller a short while later. I still credit the level for forcing me to improve (I'm in S+2 rn!), so in a way, I'm glad Nintendo added the hard level!
@@PearangeProductionsI honestly wouldn’t call RotM hard. Target Town was super annoying and difficult the first few times around but I partially blame not knowing how to use bow for that and the unexpected finish. The other ones just took a little bit of time to learn, they never felt unfair imo
I... actually never encountered Cruel Sisyphean when I did all weapons in Side Order, I pretty much always avoided higher level Zones stages like the plague Even after seeing what it looks like, I can confirm I definitely dont recgonize it Guess I got hella lucky
I still remember when you made a community post when you said you would be eat Girl Power Station with only BURST bombs! I congratulate you on making that milestone
Fun fact about that last tidbit with weapons changing; the same thing applies in Splatoon 3. That one Angle Shooter level in Hero Mode still has its old terrible paint
Pro Tip for anybody who struggles with Girl Power Station: Pick the Slosher and you win. No, seriously, I suck with sloshers in the actual game but for some reason it makes the level way easier for me compared to any of the other choices.
God I miss when the brella wasn't a broke piece of junk the the devs ignore As for girl power station it's more easy than inner agent 3 and I beat it all without motion control
i appreciate the comparisons at the end to splatoon 3 because even as someone who played splatoon 2 and 3 i genuinely cannot visually tell how weapons have changed lol
1:27 something I wish they did with alterna is that they would’ve included different difficulty settings. that or if they had made it so that after beating it on normal you would unlock a hard difficulty that you could replay all the levels with a harder twist to 100% it.
Girl Power Station is hard until you realize that they spawn in the pattern and at the same intervals each time, and then it flips to being pretty braindead
It took me forever to get the 8-ball up that one corner when i played it, but i loved the mental challenge as im a mental simulation seeker as im autistic That boss probably made mad more times then the boss should have made me mad
Seeing Chara just blast through the Rainmaker is something else Also Girl Power Station was the Gate Keeper to Inner Agent 3 for me the longest time, I eventually beat it and then Inner Agent 3 gave me trouble, I eventually beat him (Yes my Agent 3 is a Boy lol) as well, it was one month after Splat 3 released when I beat him but was having trouble with After Alterna lol
As compelling of a direction "no jump RNG" is for splash specifically, the shooter power creep always feels bad to look back on, no weapon class has gotten as many completely unneeded buffs out of left field 😅. I hones wish they'd like half the mobility gains they gave shooters in s2. It's kinda brutal when you're high enough elo everyone can squid hop and main strafe but low enough elo that everyone except shooters is still struggling to actually sub strafe in matches.
Though this is clearly just tweaks to game mechanics, I like to think all of the weapons being faster/improved and such in Splatoon 3 is just tied to the Inklings and Octolings getting a little older. More years of experience, better fitness as they approach their prime and so on.
just replayed OE the past few days, after not playing it for a few years, I beat Bustalicious Station on my first try with the jet squelcher, and Ink and watch with the roller first try. (somehow) Still haven't gotten to the hard stages like girl power though. Guess I'll have to do that soon
When I saw a girl power station… AND PLAYEF IT GOR TWO HOURS SLOWLY LOSING MY SANITY *deep breath*… I decided to take the subway track around it… Never completed it since
I went back when splat 3 came out to complete the octo expansion levels that I skipped and girl power station was much easier than I remembered. Maybe I got lucky or maybe I’m just the best player I don’t know. But still I don’t understand why I skipped it.
When i first tried girlpower station, i was able to beat it my first try, and then never again, i think i played my first try with splat bomb and brella
As a person who has only played Splatoon 3 and completed after alterna, is there any sort of difference in difficulty and such in the enemy octoling section and girl power station?
Oh yeah, Girl Power Station is significantly harder than the octoling section in After Alterna. You can take your time with After Alterna, you have no breaks with Girl Power Station
Still have never beat girl power station. Did inner agent 3 2nd try though. Much easier. Also, imo, side order doesn't hold a candle to octo expansion. It also doesn't help I don't really like rougelites and such. Especially because it's often used as a crutch for more playtime over actual quality game play. And that's what side order felt like. 3 runs and you've seen pretry much all of what it has to offer. I finished 8's palette and haven't touched it since
Feminism is my favorite Octo Expansion level
Indeed, I also like Feminism. Such a fun level
@@Justamanrandomlybrowsin.very peaceful
Such a beautyful and calm experience
Girl power station was the first and only time I’ve thrown a joycon
If I used joycons I probably would’ve too

I beat it in three tries, still don’t understand why people think it’s so difficult
@@Inmortuae2233 Girl power station is my favorite level because of the challenge and weapon flexibility
I played it on a Switch Lite & was _so_ close to chucking it across the room
I'm so glad Splash-o-matic doesn't have jump RNG anymore. It makes the weapon a lot more unique.
Back in S1 it even had grounded RNG--they buffed it so it had little ground RNG, and then S2 removed the ground RNG completely at launch
Splash will always be “we have the Titanfall 2 CAR at home” to me
“That’s a little harsh.”

@@JimmyHarris-lo9td is cool
Was Octo Expansion really that hard?
YES!
At first but then nope.
0:00 Starting with the outro music gave me such whiplash lmao
same
The one station that made the whole community shit their pants back in the day, besides eight balls.
girl power station is the only thing keeping me from fighting inner agent 3, at this point i can't imagine it being harder
Same
Only stage in the dlc I never beat
7:37 every single blaster player trying to use chargers (i know the feeling)
0:05 me when “you dropped the 8-ball, test failed”
Fun fact about that last tidbit with weapons changing; the same thing applies in Splatoon 3. That one Angle Shooter level in Hero Mode still has its old terrible paint
Let’s go, more Chara octo expansion!!!
I wish they brought back the rainmaker and tower control mission in splatoon 3.
If it makes you feel better, side order sort of has tower control (though it's more like you're shooting the tower to make it move)
Pro Tip for anybody who struggles with Girl Power Station: Pick the Slosher and you win.
No, seriously, I suck with sloshers in the actual game but for some reason it makes the level way easier for me compared to any of the other choices.
Just started playing octo expansion again, gonna try this!
11:05 so.... the grizzco
I swear Girl Power station is just a way ti rage instantly
I actually love Girl Power Station. It’s challenging, but in a good way (at least for me.)
God I miss when the brella wasn't a broke piece of junk the the devs ignore
As for girl power station it's more easy than inner agent 3 and I beat it all without motion control
I JUST DONE THIS STATION LIKE A HALF AN HOUR AGO 💀🙏
I did it like a month ago… it fells good !!!
i appreciate the comparisons at the end to splatoon 3 because even as someone who played splatoon 2 and 3 i genuinely cannot visually tell how weapons have changed lol
Reminder that Girl Power Station has been beaten without using main weapons
and no squid form, and without taking damage
not together tho thats kinda impossible
3:14 all Dummer Bokblin enjoyers watching this video:
These videos made me realize that I got bodied so much trying to beat Inner Agent 3 that I forgot how tough a lot of Octo Expansion was.
I have been loving watching you play through octo expansion again I can’t wait for more vids to come out!
3:24 yo no way
Oh god the flashbacks!
The only thing that tops girl power station is the inner agent 3 fight
Til this day i still haven't pass this Girl Power Station, Thank Goodness For Marina's Hacks.

octo expansion had immaculate vibes fr
I went back to 100% this game and i genuinely had more trouble on the levels than inner agent 3
I first tried girl power in my most recent OE replay, it’s really pretty easy.
The other defend the orb with the octozeppelins destroyed me though.
It took me forever to get the 8-ball up that one corner when i played it, but i loved the mental challenge as im a mental simulation seeker as im autistic
That boss probably made mad more times then the boss should have made me mad

When do you plan on streaming Octo Expansion next?
I avoided this level in Octo Expansion like my life depended on it

I beat gps on my second try with charger both times 😂
I miss my Hero Splatling… its design was so clean 😭
I still have no idea how I breezed through girl power station first try with octobrush

Is it just me or is Chara's voice getting deeper
Its illegal being this early😭
This is one of the like 15 stations i havent beaten yet (for context i became a splatoon fan recently and i got octo expansoon like 1.5 months ago)
My honest reaction: “no it’s not you just have a skill issue” (I actually like doing Girl Power station and Inner Agent 3 fight)
I just finished Side Order and bought Splatoon 2, eager to get into side order. It feels like it might get frustrating haha
Girl Power Station is the only mission I have left to do. And I have difficulty finishing it
At the end showcasing the balance changes, you forgot the sub weapons (Curling and Autobomb)
When I saw a girl power station… AND PLAYEF IT GOR TWO HOURS SLOWLY LOSING MY SANITY *deep breath*… I decided to take the subway track around it… Never completed it since

girl power station will always be the hardest level to me
Should've showed off day 1 Tenta Missiles in Octo Canyon 👀
Completely forgot splash had jump RNG. Good thing it doesn't as I personally like the main weapon
Am I the only one who though it said “Girl Power Situation is still insane”?
5:30 YOU CAN HEAL IT?!?!?!?!?!?
Honestly it's really easy I did it on my first try last time I played
Im eagerly waiting of ia3 with everyone

i beat girl power station once a few years ago. i can not do it again. i don’t remember what happened or what weapon i used.
i never knew you could heal the orb 💀
I thought after alterna was hard bro wait until i got this
This is the only thing keeping me from IA3.
I just sorta… cheesed this level with roller
I have still to this day never beaten girl power station 😭
2:08 SPLASH HAD FIRESPREAD???????????????????????????? (I played splatoon since the wii u)
Can you release full movie when you finish

10:04 Kettles

8 ball is basically in side order

Oh yeah, Girl Power Station is significantly harder than the octoling section in After Alterna. You can take your time with After Alterna, you have no breaks with Girl Power Station
The AI is better! But the main difference is that at one point, they stop attacking you and go for the orb, which makes it harder imo

Also, love the vids, they really helped me out, thanks.👍
I’ve not beaten move it move it station, and I think the station showed off at the very beginning of this vid.
I can not beat them and don’t care to
Took me 2 months first time 💀
Char Char needs to chill out
I remember it being so stressful lol but its pretty easy now (i have 100%ed oe 8 times -_- i went thru a phase ok)
I beat that level only using burst boom 😮
girl power station is way easier if you spawncamp them
Wait splash o matic had jump rng?
2:06 SPLASH HAD JUMP RNG???
Yup, because Octo Expansion has the balancing of 3.0.0, so Splash and H-3 didn't get that buff yet.
@@SALTYTOAD00Ah, that makes sense. I'm so used to S3's Splash not having jump RNG that seeing it with RNG completely caught me off guard.😅
