I just bought the MiFi on AT&T (they now have it as part of their lineup) and I bought the laptop connect 5 GB plan. The terms of service prohibit using handset data plans for laptops and other non phone devices without a tethering plan.
@rednes800 To do this with your iPhone you need: 3G network service. and a Jailbroken iPhone. Then you go to cydia and download the application MYWI and now you can use your iphone as a internet modem! do you have a jailbroken iphone?

sort of. he emphasized use of 5 devices but i didnt see a return/refund policy and its a Russian firm which makes me leary big time! you must remove your simm card from your iphone and insert into their device,. if you have iphone on att you have unlimited data plan which he indicated you will need.

So if I have an iPhone 4 with unlimited data plan I can put the sim card into this mifi and get unlimited data on the mifi for no extra charge?

@amindumaru no there is no monthly fee, that is probably why it costs more than other mifi devices. Hope I helped

Dude, haven't you heard about dual-SIM? You really don't need to take the SIM-card in and out every time.
but now att is going to have that 2gb thing, so it will get used quickly and will be paying for more gbs...
will pay 60 for that or get an android phone for 220 that does way more things..
