    I love the realistic example.
This is my second time around with GD and I feel I know my body well enough and have control over my blood sugar levels to have cheat days. I've only come across videos saying no carbs, no sugars and 5 small meals a day! Which for me as someone who usually fasts for 15 to 20 hours a day comfortably, it has been quite difficult. I also only have about 2 nutritious meals a day as well as 1 maybe 2 healthy snacks and don't feel I'm starving myself or my baby. I've discovered, I can have my cheat days and do some nice cardio or go for a long walk for about 20 - 30 mins and my levels are perfect. Even after a slice of chocolate cake! But I obviously do not make a habit of it and eat no simple carbs and sugars the rest of the time.

@@KOREginAPharmacist I actually have a question, perhaps you could help with. Why is it safe for our blood sugar level to be under 140 an hour after a meal but dangerous if it's over 95 when fasted?
For e.g if my level is 120 after a meal that's good but if it's before a meal it's not. Are high fasting levels (over 95 but under 140) dangerous to the baby?

I’m also a pharmacist and in my country we told patients that you have to test on the side of the finger, and never on the thumb, the index or the middle finger to not loose the sensibility of those fingers that we use the most to touch and feel texture ! So i was surprised when i saw how you did it !

Wow, we weren't trained this way! It's interesting to know what other countries are told!

Oh oof. I test my blood sugar on the side of my finger tip, not the middle of it. I feel like I'm avoiding pain that way.

This was the way I was taught to teach patients…but I’ll trial your way and see if it hurts less 🥹
