Careful with the concentration spells, a character can only concentrate on 1 spell at a time. when casting Guidance to pick that locked container on the beach you broke Shadowheart's concentration on Shield of Faith. High Elves and Half High Elves get a cantrip as a racial bonus, Firebolt in Shadowheart's and Astarion's case, but these cantrips come from the wizard spellbook and thus use INT to determine your hit chances and spell DC, which aren't great stats on Shadowheart and Astarion. That's something to consider when choosing what attack they'll use.
Ah, these are good points! It's odd that in IRL D&D I _have_ to pay attention to my Concentration spells, but in BG3, there _feels_ like there's less of a need, but you're right! I should pay attention. I'm not sure if there's a signifier for when a character is Concentration? Thanks for the great tips also on wizard INT spells on Shadowheart and Astarion! 🙌🙌🙌
@@GameswithGalatea Yes, the tooltip of a spell will warn you if casting it will break an on-going concentration. But that warning isn't there (or is easily overlooked?) when casting Guidance in the UI of an ability check
You can shove your companions awake who have been put to sleep , useful if they are sat in a area effect attack like acid 😂 also don’t mind all the looting , you’ll deffo need the cash 💰
😮Ohhh wow, that is a major tip - thank you 🤩 Haha I should do a battle with just shoving 😂 haha and thank you about the looting… sometimes I wonder if I’m a hoarder - but I know this is going to better long term 🤑
You have three ways to learn how to play that musical instrument. The expensive ways are to take a level of Bard, or take the Performer feat. Not great for your build, I think. The easy way comes up a little further into the game. You'll run into a musician working on a song. If you can pass a skill check and help her finish the song, she will teach you the skill. You'll need to pass a skill check to help, so you'll probably want to save before talking to her.
@@GameswithGalatea There's a particular dialogue path you need to follow to learn the skill. You have to offer to help by playing along with her. Other options do help her finish the song, but don't give your character the skill.
New episode awesome sauce 🎉
Yay, glad you're excited for it 🥰 This game is so fun and I've barely scratched the surface!

@@IsilionNELE Thanks for letting me know - definitely going to keep an eye out for that... maybe I'll see a tiny element in the UI 🤔

@@alancherry8540 you are half right she gives the MC a musical instrument that doesn’t require the skill
Ooo thank you both!!! This is super helpful so I can keep an eye out since I’ve heard there’s so many options and things to do! 🤩
@@Greatmaw-72 I've just tested this, and it isn't true. The lute isn't special, and your character does gain the proficiency
