    Oh my GAWDDDD
    IM A southpaw in amateur & low-level professional MMA & this is sooooo sexy...
    Thankyou so much.....
    These 3 variations will nearly gurantee that I get to crush my orthodox opponents to their body with my straight left or a 45° angle-out & step right with a Muay Thai step-knee to the liver.
    Thanks A LOT JT...
    Your videos help me SO MUCH in my amateur cage fights to incorporate actually good boxing & boxing footwork into MMA.(:
    Am-pro fighters for the most part are just ppl who a bar brawlers with absolutely no technique, little conditioning, & too many nights spent watching too much UFC and getting they can go straight from the couch to the cage in their Danny heads..... SO yeaaa; you've helped me bring what many fighters at even the highest levels like we find amongst Bellator, Invicta FC, WSOF, Legacy & UFC fighters as well, RARELY posses.
    **IN MY EXPERIENCES** ---> " Learning Basic 1-3 year level boxing skills....like slipping, head movement, footwork, body punching, & not putting 100% into every strike; adapted correctly for the grappling & kicking of MMA... makes you worlds ahead... because LITERALLY NO ONE ELSE IN MMA IS DOING THIS RIGHT NOW; OR HAS EVER DONE IT BEFORE."

      good point

    • @codeman95291
      @codeman95291 11 років тому +1

      JT Van V Thanks man yeah Mayweathers ability to be unpredictable and his skill set is just insane.. he's constantly feinting with with his left hand to set up right hands and i like how he'll squat down and get low like he's going to throw a body shot and makes you think about defending body shots and then he'll nail you with a head shot.. He also changes his style throughout the fight he'll be using the shoulder roll one second then 5 seconds later he'll use a high guard and then a low guard he just really keeps you guessing and you can't ever figure out what he's going to do

  • @alvinsie1021
    @alvinsie1021 11 років тому

    so is that why pacquiao always does that lead uppercut and swings to make a jab during his shadow boxing? similar to your hook/jab move. Thanks!

    • @PrecisionBoxing
      @PrecisionBoxing  11 років тому

      I dont think he is doing this in particular, but double punches off the same side can be effective. Lead uppercut, lead hook, lead jab as a combo can throw someone off. You just have to be in a good spot to throw a lead uppercut, its risky

    Nice set up.. Check out Kelly Palvik's KO over Taylor.. Do you have any set ups for the 45 degree punch De La Hoya was famous for??

    • @PrecisionBoxing
      @PrecisionBoxing  11 років тому

      That is a great shot De La Hoya had, I loved it when he dropped Mayorga with it in the first round. To me I think its placement, timing and speed after seeing the opponent release his right hand. Depending on you height you could pull back out of range as you throw it or slip left at bit first. But most of it is going to come down to timing and speed.

    Hey, what's up!
    Hopefully it won't be a dumb question, but I have been watching some martial arts videos, and some people say that there comes a point where every combat sport is designed to only respond to specific actions of people who "play the same game". So, people not moving or acting/reacting like they are trained to respond would actually cause some confusion to the athlete.
    Now, the question is. Do you believe boxing is like that? Do you think that the obvious positive points that a boxing training would give in a "bare knuckles, no rules" environment could hinder a boxer in any way against any other person?

    • @pipokatz
      @pipokatz 9 років тому

      +Alvaro Wang Of course I speak of fist fighting, no kicking

    • @PrecisionBoxing
      @PrecisionBoxing  9 років тому

      +Alvaro Wang If you want to fight in a bare knuckles no rules environment then you should train for that, don't box with gloves.

    I call that jab in the middle "the towel jab" because Its the same mechanics used as when you want to whip someones ass with a towel :P
    Hey, for some reason everyone picks up on that explanation.
    For "readers" faking is crucial.

      of course, you learn by your own skills and experimentation.

    • @phantomdavid02
      @phantomdavid02 11 років тому

      Just a suggestion of one i like to do that involves this same pattern but with kicks : replace the right straight at the end of the combo with a low leg kick. You are already out to your left and in position to really turn your hips and deliver a strong proper leg kick. plus, if you flash the 1,3,2 a few times then switch it up, his left leg will be WIIIIDDDEEEE open, as hes expecting your attack is gonna be all headshots in that combo. :)

      @trapsoulx 11 років тому

      can you show us some kicks, because i liked how you did your right hand set up and maybe if they blocked with their both hands to cover their face i would probably right kick their head or full on kick their stomach
