Great tactic I have done since I started boxing kind of fake telegraphing making them feel they have you figured out then boom the trap snaps and they are in trouble!
your trully the best coach on youtube no doupt ...your the real deal and your credibility is undeniably true and thx for this tip ...i never heard of this before ..much appreciated buddy !! :) are you on facebook ?
Oh my GAWDDDD IM A southpaw in amateur & low-level professional MMA & this is sooooo sexy... Thankyou so much..... These 3 variations will nearly gurantee that I get to crush my orthodox opponents to their body with my straight left or a 45° angle-out & step right with a Muay Thai step-knee to the liver. Thanks A LOT JT... Your videos help me SO MUCH in my amateur cage fights to incorporate actually good boxing & boxing footwork into MMA.(: Am-pro fighters for the most part are just ppl who a bar brawlers with absolutely no technique, little conditioning, & too many nights spent watching too much UFC and getting they can go straight from the couch to the cage in their Danny heads..... SO yeaaa; you've helped me bring what many fighters at even the highest levels like we find amongst Bellator, Invicta FC, WSOF, Legacy & UFC fighters as well, RARELY posses. **IN MY EXPERIENCES** ---> " Learning Basic 1-3 year level boxing skills....like slipping, head movement, footwork, body punching, & not putting 100% into every strike; adapted correctly for the grappling & kicking of MMA... makes you worlds ahead... because LITERALLY NO ONE ELSE IN MMA IS DOING THIS RIGHT NOW; OR HAS EVER DONE IT BEFORE." __________________________________ -DarthPint(: **Sn: thanks JT Van V for all the help in the cage.... & terribly sorry about the length of this... but I had a lot of praises to send your way.lol**
Hey JT ! I'm your new subscriber, great combo, will try that tommorow ! I'm watching your vids and they are great, you're a great teacher! Keep it up !
Another thing i like that Mayweather does is how he'll duck down and lean into you when you have him on the corner or against the ropes sometimes and smother your punches.. that's very simple but its really effective
the 1,3,2 is my fave combo. fading off to my left to line up the right straight or (lately) the overhand right (so i can duck under HIS right should he have the speed to counter with it) Great vid as always, J
My training partner showed me the 3-2 combo a few months back, while punching me in the face with it, it is very effective and useful. Before that day, I had never seen anyone use it.
Good stuff in the video Jason once again always great stuff I'm still working very hard I'm working out 6 days a week now 5 hours a day I am so strong now it's awesome I feel like I'm ready for Mayweather lol I am doing some staining now take that for what it's worth. Jason wanted to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you may the new year coming up bless you a hundred times over. Stay positive keep the great videos coming.
JT Van V If you watch the Cotto vs Floyd fight you'll see cotto do exactly that left hook throw away and came with that power jab. Always thought it would be a good way to fight Floyd. Jab right hand hard jab.
Hey any suggestions as to what weight gloves I should show up to the gym with? I'm new to boxing and don't know what weight is best, or does it matter much?
Again you video's have helped me my coach is asking me where do I keep yet ting these from and I won't tell him my training has started now lost a stone in weight and feeling good is there a face book page for this to thanks again for the tips
This looks like it will work. I like how Mayweather sets up his right hands too he'll just constantly feint with his jab over and over and he really keeps you guessing and you can never get his rhythm down
JT Van V Thanks man yeah Mayweathers ability to be unpredictable and his skill set is just insane.. he's constantly feinting with with his left hand to set up right hands and i like how he'll squat down and get low like he's going to throw a body shot and makes you think about defending body shots and then he'll nail you with a head shot.. He also changes his style throughout the fight he'll be using the shoulder roll one second then 5 seconds later he'll use a high guard and then a low guard he just really keeps you guessing and you can't ever figure out what he's going to do
I dont think he is doing this in particular, but double punches off the same side can be effective. Lead uppercut, lead hook, lead jab as a combo can throw someone off. You just have to be in a good spot to throw a lead uppercut, its risky
That is a great shot De La Hoya had, I loved it when he dropped Mayorga with it in the first round. To me I think its placement, timing and speed after seeing the opponent release his right hand. Depending on you height you could pull back out of range as you throw it or slip left at bit first. But most of it is going to come down to timing and speed.
Hey, what's up! Hopefully it won't be a dumb question, but I have been watching some martial arts videos, and some people say that there comes a point where every combat sport is designed to only respond to specific actions of people who "play the same game". So, people not moving or acting/reacting like they are trained to respond would actually cause some confusion to the athlete. Now, the question is. Do you believe boxing is like that? Do you think that the obvious positive points that a boxing training would give in a "bare knuckles, no rules" environment could hinder a boxer in any way against any other person?
I call that jab in the middle "the towel jab" because Its the same mechanics used as when you want to whip someones ass with a towel :P Hey, for some reason everyone picks up on that explanation. For "readers" faking is crucial.
If my foot was already outside from the jab then I wouldn't but if I found myself lined up toe to toe I would try to make that step. You have to read the play as it happens and see where you are
Just a suggestion of one i like to do that involves this same pattern but with kicks : replace the right straight at the end of the combo with a low leg kick. You are already out to your left and in position to really turn your hips and deliver a strong proper leg kick. plus, if you flash the 1,3,2 a few times then switch it up, his left leg will be WIIIIDDDEEEE open, as hes expecting your attack is gonna be all headshots in that combo. :)
can you show us some kicks, because i liked how you did your right hand set up and maybe if they blocked with their both hands to cover their face i would probably right kick their head or full on kick their stomach
Again you video's have helped me my coach is asking me where do I keep yet ting these from and I won't tell him my training has started now lost a stone in weight and feeling good is there a face book page for this to thanks again for the tips
The best of all the UA-cam coaches.

CYBOPOD Pray on it
I've just started boxing a few months ago. Watched almost all of your videos over the weekend. Best class I ever had last evening!
Great combination. I like how you use the number sequence (three one two, etc.) Not many coaches number their punches. Excellent tool.
I learned this in sparring two years back very technical approach not a lot of new fighters actually think when fighting now days!!! great info thanks
Damn! 😀 I tried this while sparring it worked😂 thanks man
This works incredibly well, even against seasoned boxers. Great advice

Works brilliantly :), even becomes fun because they fall for the setup...jab blinds just for a moment BOOM, haha got you.

JT.. you know your art..much respect from London UK!
Make a part 2 set up and combos sparring !!!!?
the 1,3,2 is my fave combo. fading off to my left to line up the right straight or (lately) the overhand right (so i can duck under HIS right should he have the speed to counter with it) Great vid as always, J

Very good trainer/tips...
..
Imma do this next time I spar. I've been told I have a good straight right.
Hey any suggestions as to what weight gloves I should show up to the gym with? I'm new to boxing and don't know what weight is best, or does it matter much?
very nice i like it. i gonna to practise it
o man, I like this one!!
Bodegraven boxing club, mann I love that shirt. Borf city!
Again you video's have helped me my coach is asking me where do I keep yet ting these from and I won't tell him my training has started now lost a stone in weight and feeling good is there a face book page for this to thanks again for the tips
B-E-A-UTIFUL sir
My sparring session tomorrow couldn't come sooner.... imma stuff it right in his face :)))
This looks like it will work. I like how Mayweather sets up his right hands too he'll just constantly feint with his jab over and over and he really keeps you guessing and you can never get his rhythm down
good point
JT Van V Thanks man yeah Mayweathers ability to be unpredictable and his skill set is just insane.. he's constantly feinting with with his left hand to set up right hands and i like how he'll squat down and get low like he's going to throw a body shot and makes you think about defending body shots and then he'll nail you with a head shot.. so is that why pacquiao always does that lead uppercut and swings to make a jab during his shadow boxing? similar to your hook/jab move. Thanks!
I dont think he is doing this in particular, but double punches off the same side can be effective. Lead uppercut, lead hook, lead jab as a combo can throw someone off. You just have to be in a good spot to throw a lead uppercut, its risky
Great teaching
Is this the Hein from Hajime no Ippo?
Nice set up.. Check out Kelly Palvik's KO over Taylor.. Do you have any set ups for the 45 degree punch De La Hoya was famous for??
That is a great shot De La Hoya had, I loved it when he dropped Mayorga with it in the first round. To me I think its placement, timing and speed after seeing the opponent release his right hand. Depending on you height you could pull back out of range as you throw it or slip left at bit first. But most of it is going to come down to timing and speed.
Cool i would love to see you do a video on that punch.. Keep up the great work.. Much respect!
Haha, this is a good one :) thanks
Awsome as ever ! France is looking you ! :p

+Alvaro Wang Of course I speak of fist fighting, no kicking
+Alvaro Wang If you want to fight in a bare knuckles no rules environment then you should train for that, don't box with gloves.
What kind of punch is that to the body?
Спасибо брат)
I feel like I've seen Amrit khan use this quite often
nice !!!!!
I call that jab in the middle "the towel jab" because Its the same mechanics used as when you want to whip someones ass with a towel :P
Hey, for some reason everyone picks up on that explanation.
For "readers" faking is crucial.
so when you throw da jab, do you step out at the same time?
its kind of in between, I like to start stepping as I"m throwing the jab. but if you step a split second after that's ok too
ok, im definitely goin to use dis in my fight Friday..keep up with these videos..they really hit people like me more den you knw!!!
It works! I'm just way too slow to make all 3 punches land.
BlackSwoldier o thats alright, just get one of them to land and you're at 33% connect pct
Thank you man! Your videos almost help me more than real in life coaching.
Would you still step to the left even against a southpaw? By the way, thanks for the reply on comment on another video.
If my foot was already outside from the jab then I wouldn't but if I found myself lined up toe to toe I would try to make that step. You have to read the play as it happens and see where you are
I feel like I just got knocked out
Problem with boxing is its very chaotic your not going to get guys who defend all the same every fighter with defend differently
yeah i guess pacquiao could do it with uppercut because he's closer to his opponent given with his southpaw position.
jesus mode
You definitely should have gone pro.
Baibars Al Fatih i was thinking the same. too bad. i wonder how old he is now.
This is how anderson silva got knocked out....check out his last fight in the ufc against chris weidman
Yes, true. The only difference is he did it off the right hand and finished with the left. Good eye to notice that!
could i involve some kicks in it ?
of course, you learn by your own skills and experimentation.
Solid, thanks for the clear explanation
can you show us some kicks, because i liked how you did your right hand set up and maybe if they blocked with their both hands to cover their face i would probably right kick their head or full on kick their stomach
plz help me I think I will be the best in boxing I need a help
Great cheat. Cool!
Noice 👍🏻
Yo, I like this drill! Works well in my opinion…at least for me :)
thx bro!
Again you video's have helped me my coach is asking me where do I keep yet ting these from and I won't tell him my training has started now lost a stone in weight and feeling good is there a face book page for this to thanks again for the tips
sweet!
What kind of punch is that to the body?
right hook, left hook, or right hook, left shovel hook
