I can tell Adam Gontier and 3 Days Grace was a huge inspiration for you for this cover. Your using the same vocal compression technique he uses to get yhat grit and in some cases your able to reach the same pitch and tune to sound exactly like him. And the Drums and Guitar, are a definite sound (I think) that 3DG would use if they had covered this themselves.
Look it's easy for anyone to say you're already covering a good song but god damn, the way you put your take one it (especially the bridge) gives me chills. I can't articulate how much I love this cover and your voice!

Great mix!, the drier byzance cymbals are such a great choice on drums for this kinda thing too; and tbh your vocal range and styles. Really soft and dry, but still punchy as hell, and they don't clutter up the hi's like most shiny fully lathed cymbals would, which allows your beautiful voice to occupy it's own frequency and space more in the audio field without being sloshed out in loads of high frequency rattle and white noise, i think pretty much every stylistic choice in this video worked really well... and it's always awesome to see a new upload from you Lauren, yeah that's all i gotta say haha, you kick ass. keep it up.

I'm a new subscriber! I LOVE THIS!! I'm a singer and Kelly Clarkson has always been a big influence on me regarding what I wanted to achieve vocally (so has metal lol). It's amazing to see a female (no offense to ADTR) in that community cover it. The legato and musicality of verses vs. The harsh chorus and bridge was amazing! Your F5 gave me goosebumps! Love everything about this!! It brought a whole new meaning to this song.
The vocals are amazing. Nice work girl. I like the arrangement but some chord changes and background noise doesn’t fit or blend so well is my only criticism. But dam.
