Wasn't the first goal from Belgium an accidental goal? It was also unblockable. Belgium too, missed many chances to score while Japan utilised their strong teamwork to create new chances.
You see this is when you need masterful and experienced players with an ability to quickly read situations. The moment the distribution was made by the 'keeper to KDB and he (the defender) ran after him. He should have been able to read the potential danger and quickly "take one for the team". Do it early and you only get a yellow card but do it late and you are guaranteed to walk.

Japan had great performances both editions. This edition they defeated 2 giants in the group(Germany and Spain) and finnished the group on the first place. You see this is when you need masterful and experienced players with an ability to quickly read situations. The moment the distribution was made by the 'keeper to KDB and he (the defender) ran after him. He should have been able to read the potential danger and quickly "take one for the team". Do it early and you only get a yellow card but do it late and you are guaranteed to walk.
