Thank you for joining me for this final episode of Pixar Quality! It's been a hell of a ride, and I hope you've had as much fun with it as I have.
Because of my editing style, I was dealing with continual copyright stuff behind the scenes of this series the whole time, and this video is the only one I had to trim something out of. I had sung a parody version of "When She Loved Me" right at beginning, and despite that being fine under Fair Use for Parody, a foreign subsidiary fo Disney rejected my dispute. I weighed the options and decided to cut the song out so I could release the rest of the video. I wasn't going to keep you all waiting or risk a copyright strike (even one I'm confident has no grounds) for the sake of a minute and a half joke I could just easily cut. So - please just imagine this video starts with the most hilarious and cool thing you've ever seen and pretend like I didn't have to get rid of it! The copyright stuff is part of the reason these videos have had to release so slowly of late. I even have an entire other video about a different movie I can't release for the same reasons right now.
Even so - if you found my channel through these Pixar videos and would like to see more content from me about films or animation, please subscribe and follow along with the channel. I'm already making creating content for this channel an absolute personal priority for 2025 and am actively working on making better and better videos as we speak, including in ways that might help me avoid copyright stuff at all without compromising on how I'd like to videos to look. As of now I am returning to making content about videogames, and am well into a project a lot of you have been waiting for, and it's shaping up very well. I'm so happy to be writing about games again. Thank you so much to all those who've hopped along for this series, and even if the stuff I make from here on isn't for you, it's been a pleasure to have you on board, and I hope you'll enjoy something else I make some time down the line!
    Please enjoy the finale!

I was beyond excited for you to talk about Joan Cusack as Jessie, and you did not disappoint. She’s one of my favorite actresses, and I think she really brings this character and this universe to life in a way few other animated characters do.

I found you just after you posted your Ratatouille video. Watched it, and then went back and binge watched every single video in this Pixar series. The thought that you put into each and every line, the passion and love is so evident and I wish that I'd found these sooner, been able to follow along as you went through each of these movies and I now have a new creator whose quality of work I hope I can achieve someday with my own. Thank you for being an inspiration

This series is so masterfully put together and so wonderfully personal and tender. Micah's deep love and appreciation for these films is so contagious and encouraging and I cannot even FATHOM why these videos haven't garnered more views. These video essays have so much time, effort, care, and creativity put into them, and I have enjoyed every single installment of this series. Thank you for these video essays and thank you for sharing your unique love of these timeless films.

i can’t believe someone managed to make me sob over an analysis on pixar films, but you did it, and i’m not mad about it. this is so beautifully put together and it perfectly teeters on the line of professional, and personal. i’ve made it a goal to now go back and rewatch these films with a new perspective :)
great job, and i can’t wait to see what comes next!!

I was introduced to your channel through the good dinosaur review last year, and I've been catching up on basically all your videos ever since. You sir, are a talented artist that brings the most genuine touch to UA-cam I've seen in a very long time.
Cheers Micah, I am very thankful to have watched this series.

This is a proper video essay. I’ve never seen your videos before but this is an instant subscribe for me. You’re a wonderful writer: evocative and so well thought out. I love the attention to detail in this video, the way you draw parallels and pick at themes and filmmaking and storytelling devices. I’m so excited to watch more!

Extremely delighted to be here for the series finale! I've only watched a few of the other entries, but after this I'll definitely be going back to look at the rest. As an artist myself, your ending thoughts and thesis were very moving for me. I've found myself very overwhelmed recently with things happening in the world, and this just reminded me of how powerful and important storytelling and art is. Bad things will always be happening in the world, but art has a way of lifting people up that is so important and meaningful. I feel very blessed that I live in a time and place that allows me to express and create so freely. This video makes me so excited to go forward and keep creating, and I think that's the best thing I could have gotten out of it. Thank you so much for making this. I look forward to watching through your backlog, as well as exploring what you decide to make in the future.

micah, this has been such a beautiful series. i don't even think i can really put into words quite how wonderful it's been to be here, experiencing each and every one of these beautiful, thoughtful examinations. you've presented such awe-inspiring stories with contexts i'd never considered, and in many ways, made me (i feel) a more empathetic person. and that's what the *best* art is to me? spyglasses into separate perspectives, letting us see briefly an entirely other world, in an effort to briefly shift the definition of colour and light, and ultimately, ever after, how we define everything in reference to that half second!
i hope that makes sense? i'm in ireland so it's late and been a long day. but you've done that for me. you've really changed the baseline for how i think about so many things. it's been great. thank you so much, with more sincerity than i think im equipped to express ❤️

Thank you for your work- you’ve brought me a greater appreciation for these fantastic films and inspired me to give many of them a watch for the first time in years. I’m looking forward to going back through your catalogue and what you decide to make next!

Omg this is not only the best video on your channel I feel, but this is one of the best reviews on UA-cam. “I choose to value this” hit me so hard. I’ve thought you made some seriously bold artistic decisions while watching through these (good dinosaur being this almost looming force over the entire series is genuinely just kino, like the way you only mentioned it a few times prior to your video centered on it, which I always bring up when I recommend this to friends because it’s just genuinely excellent pacing and writing from like a storytelling perspective) but I think that takes the cake for me. There is definitely a lot of stuff I find kind of bad on certain levels but that I chose to value and enjoy. It’s a weird feeling but it was just nice to, for a moment, feel like I’m having a conversation with someone who gets that. Not in a parasocial way, but in the same way you’ve talked about how the best moments in these films have been when it feels like it’s just one animator and one writer- two artists- telling you a story.

I was just wondering when this video would come out the other day haha. I’m also someone who got recommended your Ratatouille video and ended up watching the whole series.
The amount of respect, passion, and depth of analysis in these videos is such a breath of fresh air and has inspired me in my own efforts to put together media analysis. You had a lot of critiques for my favorite Pixar movie, WALL·E, and I walked away from it examining why it resonated so much with me (might have to leave a separate comment on that video when I rewatch it inevitably, but tldr I think a story about two characters finding each other in an isolating world really clicked with me as someone who was very lonely growing up SO much so that I that my own webcomic ended up exploring that idea as well). I think that’s a testament to your ability to articulate your points very well.
This video was a wonderful send off to this series and made me tear up a bit at the end which I didn’t expect :’) curious to see what you do next! Hopefully this comment doesn’t end up too long, I just wanted to show my appreciation and hopefully help this vid shown to more people. Cheers! :D

So cathartic to have been here from tue very beginning, ever since I was randomly recommended the first video in this series. Every step of the way has been an masterclass in presentation and writing that I simply cant imagine being outdone by anybody but the greats. Thank you, Micah, for a wondeful journey. I look forward to whatever comes after this.

I definitely learned to appreciate 3D animation more through your videos. As a 2D animator a lot of young people specifically like shitting on it because of corporatism and bitterness for the “extinction” of 2D that a lot of us don’t ever even try to learn or see the effort and love and strengths that is unique to 3D that make it special. I don’t think 2D and 3D should be pit against eachother in this way
