I think Norman is just a sweet guy who’s a bit awkward. I like that. Not too full of himself. I’m sure he’s one celebrity that’s still friends with old mates who aren’t famous and likes the simple things in life.

God, watching Stephen interact with the weird or the more laid back celebrities is hilarious. This is the first time ive seen Norman as himself but he just seems happy to be alive and is super casual about it, Stephen seems like he's struggling to prevent dead air. Hilarious.

Thank you. God so many ppl "oh he's drunk/high" whatever. He seems just laid back and maybe shy. A lot of people come on these shows and act similar, it's a very different environment than filming on set, so they aren't all going to be perfect speakers or hyped up like others.
What’s wrong with being high? If he’s doing what he needs to do, making his money, not hurting anyone else, and being happy, what does it matter?

Wow, it’s a good thing celebrities have thick skin and don’t pay attention to random comments. You can’t judge a person from a 10 minute conversation. I read an article a couple years ago where Reedus described being in a very bad car accident. A semi truck t-boned the taxi he was riding in. As a result, his nose, a cheek and an eye socket had to be completely reconstructed. Rather than bone, part of his face is titanium. Cool? Not really. Like any bone/orthopedic reconstruction, you always have some lasting pain. He said that he gets migraines on really hot days and really cold days. So, don’t assume someone is drunk or high, they may really just be in pain or dog ass tired and they’re pushing through it to keep their commitments. Just sayin’...

bakerXderek You should check it out. It is really enjoyable. He rode with Jeffrey Dean Morgan through sections of Spain in the first episode. Absolutely beautiful, and South Carolina with Dave Chappell...oystering, exploring Gullah culture and ending with a comedy performance with DC. He is naturally curious about people and very engaging. It's like a travelogue on two wheels. Last season he rode throughout the U.S. with Peter Fonda, Brent Hinds from Mastodon and quite a few friends from the art world and bike world.
Yh its awesome and kinda relaxing to watch.
EpicFleshTime IKR? Beautiful and laid back. Each episode makes me want to travel to that place and explore. The White Sands/ New Mexico episode was stunning. That geography. Those sunsets. Wow!
Scott Hopkins I meant that Dave Chappell did a comedy performance at the end of the episode he was on. I'm sure Reedus washes his hair. If you have a problem with it's length take it up with AMC...they own it.
Wow, this comment section is a weird mix of people who think that Reedus is on drugs/ugly and those who think that Colbert was rude to him. Maybe you haven't seen Norman on talk shows before, but that's how he is. Personally I think he is a sweet, awkward goof. And I didn't think that Colbert was rude at all, their senses of humor just don't mash.

Kyuukami Agreed. I think it's fine if someone finds him ugly, that is a matter of taste but the drug talk really bothers me a lot. This guy works too hard to be drug addled. He doesn't have the fame to be coddled despite a drug or drinking problem. People in the industry hire him more than once and people he works with love and respect him. He earned his place...kinda like Daryl, and he has kept an attitude of gratitude throughout the crazy ride that TWD has been for him. He might sound like a surfer dude but once he starts talking about art or photographers for instance you can see that he has a fine intellect as well. He's a cool guy.
burrichgrrl57 I completely agree. I don’t know if he’s ever done an interview with Colbert before but I just don’t think Reedus’ artistic genre is something that Colbert has much knowledge of. Colbert is mainly a political satirist, in my opinion. I don’t feel like his comedy is even funny enough to be a basic host like maybe Fallon or Letterman used to be. If he was, then he could interview a wider variety of guests. I don’t feel like he has much depth in the entertainment or arts genre beyond pop culture.

If you supposed "fans" knew anything, then you'd know that he's being working long ass days and he's EXHAUSTED! That's why he seems kinda out of it. He just put a post on Instagram that he's going to sleep forever. He's working his ass off to bring us entertainment and a lot of these comments are just plain rude. Has anyone else noticed that when Colbert greets someone who is a similar height (could be taller slightly) to him, he's on the platform, but when he greets someone who is either evidently taller, or shorter than him, he goes down to the floor.
Yes. He has adressed this on the show, actually. He said something about feeling to vain about his height and he was to self-conscious about guests being taller them him or something.. I don't quite recall... but I never noticed it before he said it and I notice it now all the time. Also he's said that greeting the guest is always the most awkward part of the interview, and that he also like awkwardness (he thinks its funny if I recall correctly)
