  • This video is about How To Cook Pork Steaks On A Gas Grill. Watch all the way through to the end to see how to cook pork steaks on a propane grill the easy way. It's not hard if you first marinate the meat with a good seasoning like Strawberry's Shake On amzn.to/30dNUZ5
    Grilled pork steak is not hard to do if you watch what you are doing and keep checking the meat every few minutes or so. Using an instant-read thermometer like this one allows you to check the internal temperature. ThermPro Instant read amzn.to/3eBOWUh
    Don't try to cook them too fast and at a real high temperature. You may have to pull them away from hot spots to a cooler area of the grill if the meat begins to cook too fast or starts to burn.
    If you are like me, you like to cook pork steaks on the grill whether its gas or charcoal. But, on the other hand, if you don't know how to cook pork steaks on the grill, you will after watching this tutorial.

    Propane grills are nice in the event of a "grill and run' situation too. Meaning when little time is allowed, it can still be grilled. Those are some beautiful cuts! Nice job too! God Bless!

      Thanks Paulie!! I agree brother! Gas grills have their place but I do like the flavor charcoal grills give. Yeah those cuts are great and I like my ribeye steaks about this thickness too! Take care buddy! God bless!!

    Those pork steaks looked delicious Mike! I’m a supporter for Italian dressing as a marinade!
    You made out like a bandit on that gas grill! Many advantages to a gas grill. I think everyone should have a small one for quick cooks during the week and cooks requiring a controlled temp. Flavor can always be added with the use of a small wood box .
    Great cook👍
    Take care buddy 😎✌️

      Thanks Dave!! Yeah man I got a good deal on this Brinkman Gas Grill for sure! And the pork steaks marinated in Italian dressing made them so tender and juicy! I love charcoal smoked but like you say if need be I could’ve used a foil pack or smoke box! Thanks again for checking us out and take care brother!

    Nice cook Mike. I use Italian dressing as a marinade more than I use it as salad dressing. I dont do pork steaks very often but that might change now. 🐷👍

      Thanks @Char Griller! I’m like you, I probably use Italian dressings more for marinade than salad dressing. I like salad but I love Blue cheese for that lol! You should do some pork steaks since you love to grill! Which do you prefer charcoal or gas?

    You do not see pork steaks like that up here in Canada. I use my instant read thermometer for every thing, meat, bread, cakes. One of the best thing i have bought for the kitchen. Cast iron grates on that free grill means it makes the CIW July BBQ Challenge. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us, Mike. .Stay safe and stay cool

      @@MrCastIron When it comes to pork steaks...I like to grill them...then braise them in chicken broth with the dish wrapped tightly in foil...in the oven on low heat just to tenderized the hell out of them...so good with some cooked cabbage. Sometimes I put the cabbage on top of the steaks while braising. It's delicious!

    I sear mine with Andy’s batter on the stove top and then place them on the grill. Medium to lower heat and they are great. I’m gonna try your method next time.

      @@MrCastIron I haven't cooked any for a while now. But always best over any kind of flame. The thicker the better. And yes I always marinade as well.

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you are so right about that! They are good over any kind of flame! I much prefer a thicker cut because the thinner seems to dry out to fast. I don’t like eating shoe leather do you?

      Thanks brother! They were thick but dang they was good! I like charcoal and fire pit cooking but gas works too! Especially when it’s free lol! I thought about putting some smoke packs in there but I didn’t this time! Do you use a smoke box or anything on your gas grill?

    • @HobiesGarageBBQ
      @HobiesGarageBBQ 4 роки тому

      @@MrCastIron Oh yeah. I use a smoker tube or foil pack or direct wood chunks, and sometimes I use two methods at the same time. Check out any of my videos thanks.

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 роки тому

      Do you have much trouble with the wood chunks catching on fire? Or, do you soak them for a while first?

    • @HobiesGarageBBQ
      @HobiesGarageBBQ 4 роки тому

      Mr. Cast Iron No not much trouble. But I don’t soak them either as they have done experiments and shown that the water does not penetrate the wood so it doesn’t help anyways. But I do keep a water bottle by the grill if it catches flame I just douse it real quick.

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 роки тому +1

      Hobie's Garage BBQ yeah I don’t soak mine either. If I’m using charcoal I’ll put the wood down first and then add the coals on top. Seems to work best for me than laying the wood on top of the hot coals. Less flair ups but still great smoke!
