I really hope freelook doesn't go live as-is. It's great that 2 guys worked on it on their own time, but currently freelook disables recoil which is pretty game-breaking. Until that's fixed it must not be made live.
I think the takeaway from the excitement surrounding freelook is that the core, hardcore player base (the ones who keep the game alive during tough times) desire and appreciate QoL updates. QoL is king. Keep QoL updates coming and your core player base will be eternally grateful.
Tutorials really could be simple... Take the example of a UA-cam video. Have some tinny old voice over and show the in game units doing their things. Add a button to the start menu, which goes to a list of "tutorials". The battle map Capturing objectives Defending objectives Battle Strategy, inc. movement, flanks, communication The roles of commanders The roles of officers The roles of engineers All other combat units These videos probably already exist online, but can be emulated within a couple of weeks.

Team17 made a roadmap and stuck to it this year, so I respect them for that. But I really wish they put more into this game, it could be so much better and I feel like progress is slow.
Love this game so much, I hope they take advantage of the ps5 pro, but there is one map type I need and that’s more close quarter urban combat, like carentan but bigger, street by street clearing with tanks
It'd be nice if T17 showed some integrity and fixed the prevalent issues such as frequent lag and game seizures, appearance resets and vote dialog interference; rather than ignoring them to produce useless skins and maps. We paid for the appearance skins and they have to be reset almost every time we leave a server. I guess they just want that money and screw the people that paid for the game and the skins. I wont make that mistake again. Not until they fix the other issues first.
Would love a completely useless smoking mechanic/animation to pass the time when riding in the back of a truck, waiting for enemies to attack, or waiting for new orders from above. Maybe only spawns with every 2nd player so you have to bum them from each other. Pointless but would be fun for role playing/immersion, maybe a future april fools update

The engine does need to rebase the map map in order to maintain precision. That's quite true. No idea if this should be quite so jarring though....

This is mostly an optics problem. Artists aren't fixing the things you mentioned, nor should they be expected to.
