Also bro I wanted to say I think water statue is the way to go right now. Glacia is nice but feels a little too forced sometimes. But at least with water statue, it’s essentially always live. I’ll be doing something similar in my next locals 😎
I dont know what to think about a build without deep sea king since what would like your one Card tseus combo end on? Sometimes it might be better to have a brick in the deck that let you extend better. Also Pike seams also a starter to me since it gives you access to spirit. With the level 3 tuner you could try out the level 7 fish syncro which special you a monster from the gy and then make the rank 7 play to special dragons and get more pluses. I also think that mounig is an amazing card which helps you play better and fuwalos as like ice jade also makes an interruption quite easy. However, I like a lot the top 32 list which drops yesterday. There will be cons and pros of not playing deep sea king.
G3 could have done this play (plays around droll the same as u did already) Normal nept, send shadow squad, add rhyne. Squad specials pike, pike discards tidal and adds minstrel. Minstrel discards itself and heavy infantry to look at opponents hand. Now u see there’s an imperm and ash. U hit the ash. Rhyne effect send neptabyss special coelacanth and shadow squad. U currently have pike, squad, and coelacanth on field. U coelacanth effect discard mulcharmy, if they imperm here u can use coelacanth effect tribute pike to force it. Go from there, making bahumut with the 2 pike from deck (they may imperm here which is fine). U can pivot here and end on either the barrier statue with the use of anemone into minstrel, or the link 3 mermail with virtue stream set and potentially a rank 4 with a pop on opponents turn.
@funguy2627 umm so the card tidal discards itself with will trigger but the card he sends from deck to gy will not trigger. Mainly wanted to see if it came up to send statue to gy to be revived. He was alright, I don't think he added much to the deck nor did the deck feel any worse. I think i need to test him alittle longer to have a real opinion on him
how do u feel about running just one pike? most topping lists have done that... I kinda wanna play coeal but I have only 2 pikes so not sure if worth it, it plays around droll but runs into Nib
I havent personally tested no deepseaking yet. I will however being testing 1 pike, no deepseaking, and diva this weekend so I will hvae better insight after this weeks locals! u can get away with 2 pikes for sure but if your on the fence then pivot to 1 pike and try it out. Will just take some tome learning how to play around droll. At least for me
@nurenda8795 tidal was okay... it's a tech and doesn't really add much to the decks core. Definitely not needed. May win u 1/10 games tht u weren't gonna win before. On then benefit I don't think it will lose u any additional games though so if u can fit it in, might as well test it and see how ur playstlye adapts to the card and if it ever matters
