Had a same flight with the Judas when they were touring in Brazil last year. Having conversation with Rob when we landed in Curitiba while we were waiting for our luggages. And he is soooooo sound man, just love him. When he heard that I am from China, he gave me a big hug and saying we will be there someday.
Any Metallica fan who doesnt at least respect Judas Priest just hasnt done their homework. Judas Priest, and this man Rob Halford, are LITERALLY Metal Gods.
That was great! Cool to see Trujillo and Halford playing together, two of my very favorites, Halford is the God of metal singers, and Trujillo is awesome plus so entertaining on stage. :) Good job Metallica!
@@redrick8900 a more factual analysis than that would be that your assessment is wrong. almost every heavy metal band has something to thank judas priest for.
@@layzabullit Literally no metal band owes them anything. They made no contribution to the sound. They are really just a bland generic rock band that could have been around and not stood out before Metal existed.
I remember my first heavy metal Christmas as a 14 year old in Birmingham England, I had 4 albums, British steel, Bomber, Overkill and the first Maiden album, never can forget it, awesome. now in my early fifties and still listen to the same music and nothing else. metal will never die.
The Halford band played a few years ago in our area. Only about 100 people there. It was like a private performance. Seeing him walk out was mesmerizing to say the least. My jaw dropped!!!
Awesome! In love you Rob HALFORD! The best Metal-Licker front-man EVER! ( In some strange parallel universe Rob Halford quite Judas Priest and permanently became the lead singer for Metallica. )
I went flew all the way from Oregon to New Jersey to see Rob Halford live on his last tour with Judas Priest, he sounded absulutely perfect and so did the band. Amazing show! also looking forward to seeing my favorite band Iron Maiden again this summer!
La vieja escuela del metal...Que fortuna de todos los que tuvieron la dicha de presenciar en vivo este increíble evento de Halford y Metallica...Simplemente Espectacular¡¡¡
High Octane Power!! Love this style because it break all the windows LOL Halford opened for Ozzy last year in Montreal Quec and he sounded awesome!! What a powerful voice!!
Damn! I had another browser open and I had this playing but wasn't watching the video. I thought Halford's scream at the end was Kirk's lead guitar! lol! I guess ol' Rob still has some screams left in the tank. :)
Funny shit talking about Metallica who have always named JUDAS PRIEST as one of THE BANDS they've always respected and liked, and are good friends with Rob. Rob is as classy as they come, or at least he was when I was fortunate enough to meet him...and I doubt he'd let them be so lucky to share the stage with him, as he has on numerous occasions, if they are so bad. Fact of the matter, Rob can't hit those levels as he once did. When you've lived the life they have on the road, with all the shit that goes with it, screaming 200-300 nights out of a year for as long as those guys have.....well just enjoy the memories and be thankful they're still with us on the back end of their careers.
Seeing the most popular american metal band paying tribute to legendary bands from UK, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest among others is very cool and necessary. Hats to Metallica.
I have been waiting so much for a reprise of that Miami performance! Combining The Metal God with Metallica is so massively Metal that I am surprised The Fillmore didn't crumble.
@MrJimbofox Absolutely damn true! Thirty years ago Rob Halford led Judas Priest, and heavy metal itself, out of the Midlands and into the bigtime. He tells us where the sound - and the look came from.
Right on. But it isn't just age, Rob has been singing an absolutely murderous catalogue for thousands of concerts, just compare the vocals on mid-style Priest to virtually any other band, it's nearly impossible to sing, but Rob did it - for decades! He is the greatest HM singer ever, and has left a legacy that will never be equalled, never surpassed.
Those guys were in the presence of a mentor and an inspiration, you could see how bad they did not want to fuck it up. I thought it was good. That is an old song, and Rob did it well. Great stuff Metallica.
Hate them, or Not. As fellow musicians, we do appreciate/respect the years of hard work these guys have done.... mathiasnielsen66, thanks for the uploads!
Rob is still a badass at 60 what? I wonder how well he can still sing the real tough songs like painkiller and riding on the wind (I do riding on the wind in one of my vocal cover/workouts here).Love how the crowd was chanting "priest" over and over...we got Rob Halford here w/metallawho?
oh man, I'm gonna see Priest's second to last performance in the Neterlands.. gonna be awesome.. can't believe Priest is comming to an end. The next 10 years are gonna be sad. All classic metal bands will be comming to an end and tbhere aren't enough new bands to replace. sad sad times
there are no words to describe how amazing this performance is.

Yes it is kind a stupid and confusing
Fuck yeah Rob!!
Metal wouldn't be the same without metallica or judas priest, seeing them toghether was a metal moment for me!
Judas Priest is irrelevant.

I love Rob. What a gent and what a fucking voice!! 🤘🏻
One of Priest's greatest songs. Great choice.

@ khogan311. ABSOLUTELY! Greetings from Germany where Judas Priest perform at 01.05.2012 in Düsseldorf! ;))
It was done in 1994 (live on the summer tour) when Metallica still had skill and balls. They played THIS EXACT song. Puts this version to shame.
THIS is why metal was born where RH comes from.
