My luxury buying has evolved but not in the usual way. I used to buy the neutral classic bags that everyone said were timeless and didn't use them. I am so glad I found your channel as I now buy coloured bags that I love and use them constantly. Thanks for being an inspiration for fun, interesting and colourfull bags and accessories.

No idea what to call it but I’m definitely in a new era of bag buying! I haven’t bought a black bag in over 2 years. I am really going for colour and more fun bags. I’m definitely less serious and not always going for the most sensible choice! You wait till you see what I just bought!! 😅

Hello Dayle! The way I see it is logo items are often entry level, maybe that’s why people start this way. As you build a small collection, you often go for the safe options (black, brown…), as you don’t know how many bags you will afford and they need to go with all your wardrobe. But I feel like when you already have a consequent collection, you don’t need another black bag; you enter a “bold luxury era” when you can afford the top tier, the unique, the bold, the playful, the unpractical… It’s your Gary era 😅

hubby and i had this discussion yesterday. he asked is it quiet lux if someone can tell it's chanel by the CC buckle? because most of bags you really need to know what it is to tell its lux. so lets call it- if you know you know era lol.

Something I did notice. 5 of the bags are the same/ similar shape, 7 are semi/ or structured bags. Apart from colour and texture, shape preference to suit body type comes in to play with bags too. 😀

@@laurencameron4110 Hi Lauren. I hope you are well. I'm not doing too well and I fear a might have to have another brain surgery😨 but enough about me and my silly problems. My collection is mainly quiet with some hot pinks and blues amongst them in luxury bags. I do have other lesser brands in pinks, purples lilac, orange but none of my bags compare to lovely Dayle's . They are probably classed as boring. 😁I still love them though. I live vicariously through Dayle and Meredith with their stunning collections and dream about having such beautiful bags. To tell you the truth I don't really go anywhere to wear such beauties. My main outings are to my many doctors but I still do wear my luxury bags. They have to get out sometime. 😁What is your bag collection like , I imagine it to be beautiful. XX

My purple Furla bag goes to the doctors because it can fit all the paperwork. I have one I call Precious. She was my present to myself for getting through my health problems. My grandmother loves red like I like purple and she gave me two of her red bags. I feel fabulous wearing them.

@@laurencameron4110 Hi Lauren. I am so sorry you have not been well. I hope you are feeling a lot better as I am writing this. Life can be so unfair at times but you sound life a tough cookie like me. We get through these hard times and try and think of the positive. How wonderful that you have 2 red bags from your grandmother and you feel fabulous wearing them. What beautiful memories they would hold. Yes I do go in my 'bag' room and look at them all quite often and they do make me feel happy. I had tests this past week and saw my neurosurgeon and though I am still in great pain she said that everything she did is fine. Nothing has moved where she repaired things in the old brain 😁but I have inflammation causing all this pain. So no surgery which I am so relieved and happy about. I am a very slow healer too which doesn't help. I feel like I am just one big pain with all my head, spine , really head to toe pain every day for the past 29 years as well as all my other health problems. I know there are people much worse off than me and that is what I always say to keep me positive and I always put a smile on my face and not let people know I am suffering, though it is hard at times. I know you would relate to all of this. I wish you well Lauren and hopefully next time we speak we both feel a little better at least. Take care. XX

Your handbag collection is definitely unique chic. My style of dress is more quite luxury but I like to add a unique bag to make the outfit stand out. I have been adding more color to my wardrobe and I don’t think LV monogram works with my more colorful blazers. I have enjoyed watching you style your beautiful bags and I have definitely taken inspiration from your wardrobe.

I think it’s a temporary phase. I could relate, I sold my mini Fendi baguette in zucca same as yours and now after a while I am craving for zucca print. lol 😂 I also sold many LV monograms but I don’t crave it anymore so I don’t know what’s going on😂 Do we need to call this something at all?😉

You also sold the Dior wicker… I really think with logos you got to go big to make it look intentional. I like the way Gucci does it but you need a lot of it to make the pieces work. Otherwise you end up looking like a tourist on a coach tour wearing your one treasured designer piece. The overall aesthetic is surely not quiet even without the logos!

Your aesthetic is just “a mix of really pretty bags”. Sorry it’s not a catch phrase. The factor that’s similar in all of them is just that they are non boring beautiful pretty colors and materials that attract you. I dont think it’s just one thing. I also have a mix of logo and non logo bags and colors and materials that are simple and more fun. It’s whatever draws me in when I look at it and touch it. I owe your collection of bags (especially the fuschia galuchat and the shiny lizard ones. Ooh and the new croc peekaboo). Can’t wait to see what you get next!

I would say you are more refined. I’m pretty much there too. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with logos in my book, but a LV canvas bag has nothing on me anymore. It just doesn’t excite me at all. I still wear them sometimes but it’s more out of convenience, they have no wow effect. I love colors, I love to experiment with different leathers and all of it. I also appreciate to be a bit more unique in a way. I have bags that I absolutely never ever seem on someone else out in the wild. I also pay more, let’s be honest! My tastes creeped up, oh my poor wallet.😂 I think after years and years of collecting bags, it’s hard to get excited by a black regular leather bag. 🤷🏻♀️

No, I wouldn’t say quiet luxury. The styles tend to be recognisable in a IYKYK way and all yours almost have a personality with their varying shades and textures. Yours are lead singers in a band! Quiet luxe is pretty nondescript in style which is why The Row, Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli do it so well; we can’t tell if it’s $50 or $5,000 until we feel it. They’re the backing singers. We walk past them in the street. It’s your Hollywood era 😎🤩😂.

Just the opposite - you are entering your Iris Apfel era! She wasn't born as a peacock, her style evolved through the years. It is all about making your true inner self visible to the world. There is always a place for uniforms in life, and to me wearing monograms and logos is more like covering yourself than expressing yourself. Iris Apfel was so free. Free from social norms and expectations. I see you have started to feel that freedom.
