Great flights and great video! Something to keep in mind. As a high wing trainer, it's naturally going to climb with throttle input. It's acting how it should when it does that. Try not to overthink it or let it bug you too much. It's normal for that plane. A suggestion just for fun. Since it likes to climb, do a video showing some altitude. 😊 That thing is big enough to see from 400-500 feet. Looks like you have some neat terrain around you, so give us a good sky tour. It will feel real when you do. Just a suggestion/request for the fun of it.
I'm currently building this model and was going to put a G51 super tiger glow engine but this video has me thinking I'll do it electric now at least to get it in the air and trimmed out!
I've converted mine and having performance problems (BRICK). But we think it's a damaged motor (crashed in another plane). So I'm ready to order the Great Planes Rimfire .46 42-60-800Kv. That's what you've got in yours? And what ESC (I think you said 60A)? I have a Hornet 60A (and read somewhere an 80A would be better for 6S). And what prop? 11x5? 12x6? Thanks so much for your video. Gives me lots of hope. REALLY looking forward to doing 100MPH!!!
Thank you. It’s an 80A Hobbywing speed control and the .46 rim fire. I do have a super detailed build video on it. It’s a great airplane, I’m 100% happy with it. Thanks for tuning in!
@@rcflightz2058 Yep, been watching the build video and saw the 80A thanks. 6S will probably fry my 60A. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHAT PROP SIZE ARE YOU USING? I think I read in the manual it comes with a 12x5 but I'm thinking of ordering an 11X5e and a 12X6e. I noticed it has a wood prop now vs. the plastic on the build video. Also, we're thinking the wings will definitely rip off at those speeds after a few flights. May want to disclaim that so goofs like me aren't falling out of the sky.
Great video. Well flown by the pilot. The Avistar can move.
It’s a great airplane…I’m not sponsored, just throw on some larger wheels to get the prop away from the ground.
Looks great. Now I need a glider/plane to attach my GoPro.

Super build man and good flying. Thanks for the vid
Can’t find the build vid is it coming as I want to convert one of mine. Thanks
Thanks
What video system are you using? Love all the info on the screen.
It’s a GoPro with the GPS data on, then you run it through a telemetry program…I have a video on it.

It’s a size you go either way…not even taking a side in the gas VS electric argument😆
