This is so true omg I just noticed - subscribed! amazing pace and super clear - i'm considering new world a lot didn't realise it was this type of game !
The sounds were always one of my favorite parts of the game. Apparently they paid good money to a sound company to make those sounds and they did some great work with it. The environmental noises, the echo when mining and chopping. the clanking of swords. so well done.
This was one of the first things I noticed when I started playing. Not only the quality of general sounds in the game, which are so accurate and high quality, but being able to tell what enemies people are fighting with what weapons just by the sounds is phenomenal. Running through the woods at night with the sounds of combat echoing around you is just *chef kiss*
Over 1200 hours and I am very happy I paid $20 for this game. HIGHLY recommend New World as the developers continue to take the criticism on improvement ideas from players and actually CONTINUALLY attempt to implement and strive for a better game. Yes there are flaws at times, but I'm happy to be apart of this game!
Love to hear it! Every game will have its flaws but the positives and things to love are far and away more noticeable here. Does seem that the Dev team is actively working off the feedback from the player base which is always great. Thanks for watching :)
@@falcon3169it definitely is a P2W game idk wtf these other ppl are talking about 😂. You play the game and hit level cap and then are told that you have to buy a DLC to hit level and gear cap all over again and to get the mount system. Yea it’s P2W
I have close to 4.7K hours in this game and kind of stopped playing since last year. The Fresh start server was good but the end game is really Mutations(PVE) and WAR(PVP). The daily chest runs are fun to certain extent and the OPR's. The initial leveling is good if you are playing solo but At the end of the day, it all comes down to your company and Friends. NW is more fun, when you are playing with your Friends/company members. If you want to do Lot of the endgame activities like Mutations, Raids and War it's good to be part of a company which does daily activity's as such. The new changes in the expansion looks great and hopefully it will attract the OG players once again!
Totally agree with you. I definitely think with what we've seen coming in the xpac so far many people will be returning or starting fresh! Thanks for watching :)
Great video m8, you got my sub. (: You came in at the right time too, we just got transmog a couple days ago which is a ton of fun, and in a couple months mounts and first expansion coming, so I think it's only up and up from here. You should check out the road map for the year, some really great stuff on the horizon. A lot of people still rag on the game, but I think it's just for the meme. It really has come a long way, has an amazing foundation, and a crazy bright future if they make the right decisions moving forwards.
I played ESO for 4K hours, and have just been so frustrated with continuous bugs and issues. The burn out happens with most games. I was looking for a new experience and came to New World, and have been absolutely loving it! The crafting is top tier.
Feel like I need to give ESO a first try 🤔Glad you've found a good new experience in New World! They killed it in the crafting and gathering department; just so satisfying. Thanks for watching :)
Once you're fully geared, maxed skills and all you do is pvp and duel all day you'll see they game has WORSE desync and input lag than ESO unfortunately. Towards the end I sat outside Windsward dueling all day and youll really be able to see and feel it. It's why I quit both games.
@@bmw9616 Same my brother. I have over 10k hours in ESO and could only get about 1k into new world. I'm a PVP sweat and the awful metas in new world pvp were a big turn off. Not to mention getting OPR queues during off hours was a joke even on the biggest servers.
I used to be a Diehard WoW fan. This became lessened a lot over the years and I haven't played it in 2 years, but I still really like MMORPGs. Always wished for one with solid crafting. Having played Valheim a while ago, I kinda craved both an MMO and also a crafting-heavy game, and at the same time I also happened to hear that New World was getting better and better. So I checked it out, fully expecting to refund it after 2 hours. I now have 12 hours. I'm NOT refunding. This game's dope! The crafting + gathering are insanely satisfying, combat is fun and interesting, Weapon variety is great, some feel very Souls-y, others feel like 3rd person shooters. It's awesome! The quests are all voice acted, too, which helps a lot with getting into the story which, honestly, isn't half bad so far! I am really enjoying my time with this game. It's very fun. Having finished the first zone I can confidently say that I am very much looking forward to playing more :)
From a different view: Having around 3100 hours in New World from beta to now. I myself stopped playing New World around 5 months ago. The reason was the end game content is dry still at current. They apply updates to leveling and zones (current update is again another old zone revamp mashed into an "expansion"). But to get to it, the game itself is good, level experience and content is great early to mid game. But they still have alot of work to do late game if your a hardcore MMO player, casual players will love it though. The company system needs a big overhaul to make it more imbedded into the game as its currently a shell that kind of caps you from enjoying content such as wars due to war member limits and depending on company, leader views. Then there is wars....its a typical 3 point hold and capture with a second stage. The game needs alot more work in this space to improve the overall pvp content, they need inspiration and implementation like Guild Wars 2 for example, more diversity in forts and mechanics. Overall the game is great and i would recommend anyone to play it and give it a try, for hardcore pvp or end game players you may get bored after some time but overall its worth playing to see how you feel. Myself, i am going to wait until they flesh out more "new" content then just refurbishing old none finished content. =]
It's funny I've been playing lots of GW2 for the first time recently and you aren't wrong. BUT there is the new XPAC coming out next month that does look to shake up the endgame in quite a positive way so I'm hopeful for the game! Thanks for watching :)
Agreed, if you hardcore PVP, New World should be an easy pass. Which sucks because the PVP CAN be very fun. Cross realm queues should have been implemented day one.
I just returned yesterday and it feels so much better. I played for 2 months with a group of friends when it first came out and ended up being disappointed in a game we really wanted to love
I started fresh again recently and it is feeling really good. I agree that the gathering and crafting is satisfying as is, but Spiritfarer kind of ruined other crafting systems for me. The system is largely normal, gather mats to make stuff, but there are little minigames involved in most of them. For example, to mine you hold the key down until you get a little twinkle and then release and it mines better than just clicking. You do a little sawing motion to cut a tree down, you put the wood in a machine to make planks and if you participate in that machine's minigame you have a chance to get more/better quality planks, etc. If they did that in New World, I think it would add a really cool element for the people who want to focus on skilling. People who don't like skilling don't need to bother (my wife for example didn't really fuck with those minigames in Spiritfarer) but it is there for the people who want that to be the main way they engage with the game. Sorry this is long lol I say this on almost every New World video I watch that mentions the crafting just in case a dev sees it and is like "Oh that's a good idea" haha Anyway, great video man. Assumed you had more subs based on the quality so keep up the good work.
My dad and I both put about 1500 hours into New World between Launch - December 2021 and a little bit with Brimstone, but haven't really played extensively since. Recently reinstalled it and been trying to make some gold before the expansion comes out and I'm honestly falling in love with it all over again. Wish I had a good source of someone to go watch patch note recaps or where to view the info cause a lot feels different, but just taking it at face value I can tell the Devs have been putting a lot into the game and Rise of the Angry Earth has us hyped. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey! You got my sub, really love how you articulate things and your optimistic perspective.
Thats dope you play with your dad! I'm feeling optimistic with how everything has been going and now the xpac coming. Good times! Thanks for watching :)
I started playing NW a few months ago with two of my friends and played it several days in a row just to enounter a bugged quest that did not let us continue. We were unable to do the Story quests and quit after that because we would have to do sidequests or kill mobs to gain exp. That quest was bugged for over 2 weeks..
Eddie Van Halen Gained you a subscription from. Also i'm going to start streaming this game tonight but I had been indecisive as to whether I wanted to return to my level 42 or create new character. This video gave me a mental refresh of the game so Im going to continue with my level 42. Much appreciated. P.S. I am the Fishing and Logging Goat!
The reason why the gathering is so good is because at one point during development, it was a survival game. The game went through different genres during development. At one point is was a pure PvP game, then a survival game, then a battle royale and a lot of the mechanics and systems in the game reflect those different points of development.
Though I haven't actually looked it up.. I can say from playing the game it certainly feels like they have. More inclusion of jump puzzles and things really helps switch it up. Thanks for watching :)
one thing about the sound... if you enable Windows Sonic Surround for headphones... enable 5.1 surround on the game... and then play the game on headphones, you WILL actually head directional audio in the game. Very well implemented, and still sound just as a great. It's actually really really immersive even to just stand there and listen to environmental sounds or standing on the city with people just whoosing past you.
I've been an MMo Player half my life and no game brings me back so quickly like New World. I can't stick with another mmo for long, cause I instantly start craving the ambience and atmosphere of Aeternum. Last time I quit because of the different gear sets and now that they are getting rid of them, I really hope New World will be my permanent home. I have so much love and care for this world and the dev team is so humble and honest. Hype for the add-on, I'm positive it will be a blast:) 1150 hours in!
@@Vizzientehh… walked infront of a waterfall and didnt get pulled by the currents. That broke immersion for me. Water in nw just ignores the player model. Wish they focused on swimming instead of mounts
I just want to say with the total overhaul they did feeding the lore to you, it is a shame to not delve into it, I am considering making a new character just to go through the story since when I orginally played it a year or so after launch and the game was still not 100% sure what it wanted to be. Even then it had the beginings of a decent story with decent lore and world building to make it feel both alive in some places and desolate because of catastophy in others. With them having fleshed the story out I am looking forward to seeing what they did and how it will evolve. The main premise is there is an Island of magic power and has been around since the dawn of time, empires had tried to conquer the land several times and failed, once you crash on the island there is no escape and permanent death while possible is much harder to achieve. Some of the people that give you quests for example were roman gladiators or lived during the glory days of Eygpt. So they have a lot they can do with the backround pieces.
The game is genuinely fun, i cant remeber the last time i played an mmo and just enjoyed playing and didnt even care what level i was. At the end of the day fun is fun.
My wife and I went back to NW in time for the expansion and we love it. So much to do, great leveling experience. So many new builds due to the artifacts and how they interact with other weapons. No need for alts anymore just need one character to do it all. Feels way better than WoW right now. I have not played it for over a month now. I miss my WoW friends, not WoW itself.
Amazing video! I love seeing positive videos about this wonderful, it's refreshing from all the negative stuff revolving it on youtube. Also, do you happen to know what bow you were using at 13:00? it looks like a real fine bow to transmog!
Played this game for about 100 hours at launch, was really loving the crafting and gathering and ease of combat but felt like a slog getting levels and doing boring dungeons but have been thinking about giving it another try, you convinced me !
i've been a fairly active player on new world since launch and despite all of the game's early shortcomings post-launch I've always said that its one of my favorite games to play just because of how beautiful it looks.
OK! FINE! I'LL GET BACK INTO IT! The guy's I met while playing this a few years ago, got back into it and told me to get back into it. I had to stop cuz I had such a dopamine hit from leveling up. . . leveling anything up . . I even neglected work.
@Vizzient after seeing the fresh start in your great video, the back of my head was just start again there... but couldn't do it lol. Next character I'll know to look haha.
AYY glad to hear it! Everyday I see loads of people talking in Global about just coming back and being pleasantly surprised. Good luck out there and thanks for watching :)
I played this game a ton at launch, got to 60 after an awful grind and immediately was burnt out didn’t wanna do any end game stuff. Just returning now, re rolling new character and it does feel better overall. We’ll see how I feel when I hit max I hope I do enjoy the endgame.
awesome video my friend, im about 300+ hours into new world, and just returning after taking a short break. you nailed everything that i absolutely love about this game.
Bought early access, played 400hrs. Quit and decided to come back when it was actually worth the money I put in. Heard they added mounts and the game is actually decent now, mounts blocked behind paywall. Never install again. Mounts were a fix, not a bonus. I'm not paying for a fix when the game should've been finished when it released. Instead you got me going through water like principal Skinners tryna catch Bart skippin school.
Just a tip. Alot of players may want to play this for the extra circular stuff like fishing smithing hunting ect. And you glossed right over the trade skills tab without touching on it. Good review other than that. Is there anything to do besides combat?
Yessir! The crafting is quite good. Honestly in a weird way feels like a mix between WoW and RuneScape simple and satisfying but a bit grindy for mats ... thanks for watching!
I left shortly after they massively nerfed the craftsman tradeskill and all of the big PvP events were being cheesed via glitches. Servers started getting consolidated and, being one who loves crafting and in-game economy, there wasn't much left. I assume the glitches were patched up, but what's the state of the trades and the economy? Have they balanced things out? Added new updates?
Great job on the video very well done and informative. My only question. do you know if you start in a group or just want to join with a friend, is it still that you might be in a totally different zone with no way to play with them except running across a huge gap with a lot of high lvl mobs? also I think i remember doing that run and couldn't do any quests with my brother cuz he was locked to the quests in his area and I was locked to the ones in my starting zone. thanks.
I played at the launch, was nice cuz the server was full, but the lvl up was very repetive, same mobs, boring quests, I came to play de DLC and the game are much more cool now, I'm enjoying it i just got the max lvl and it was it was much more fun than my first play, you should try it before hear the hates, it worth it!
It’s just the combat for me. You can either have a dark souls style or combat where every hit has massive impact, or you could have a traditional mmo style combat where you can move around while striking. New World opted to go for the former, but it just feels clunky because there’s no stagger, impact, parry, etc. if they ever fundamentally change the combat, I would definitely reinstall and purchase the expansion
Remember seeing trailer for this game, and wanting to play it so bad then I heard all bad things about it. Last year got try the free trial and the server lag was crazy bad. I would love to try this game again, but no idea how much I would like it. I'm a min-maxing player who needs a stupidly good endgame or I get bored quickly.
Truthfully it's not a super good min-max friendly game. The endgame is fun but compared to like WoW or FF14 it's a big chaotic and clunky. The world, atmosphere and progression systems I think is what really makes it shine.
Very well made, you hit the nail on the head, keep it up man. You can turn off the screen Shaking in battle ( you'll find it in Settings -Game - 4th down ), it'll help in PVP clump fights. At each 50 points in each stat adds a special buffs :P
@@Vizzient I'll definately keep watching. Another Tip :For pvp you can croutch or lay down to hide your nametag and healthbar from the enemy if you are being chased by a horde of people and with some luck they will all run past you. The reverse you can hide with your entire company so they can get real close for a good old fashioned "The Patriot" Style Ambush. :P
I hate how most mmo players relay only for quests to level up, when nw first came out it had that nice balance between quests if you want to go that route or group leveling with portals or crowded areas for mobs it was super fun going with groups clearing portals. Now they listened to the majority and lost their identity leveling is like any game just do quests.
@@Vizzientthere are still group activities for elites dungeons and such activities that require a groups, but in term of leveling its just solo questing. I dont mind it but i liked it the old route. Still a good game tho have 2 maxed chrs thinking to make a third if they drop another fresh start, grinding trophies and trading skills is so satisfying.
The original XP cap was about 2.2M XP now its 1.1M so they cut the xp you need in half while also revamping the questing experience and adding more quests
When did that go into effect? Ive got about 200 hours in. I preordered and played it from the very beginning then just stopped. Im max level as of now, but knowing expansion is coming I'l' have to start back up. I like the idea of mounts.
I've played since Alpha 2, and while this game has been a roller coaster of development (good and bad), the core of this game will always be the reason I come back and play
The combat does honestly find a good balance, the high end skill expression is fun, but doesn't lend itself to afk farming or grinding or mindless exploration which a LOT of people do in MMO's. Like for example in World of Warcraft people LOVE dragon riding, but they wanted regular flying back due to the ability to afk and auto run on the mount, or afk and hover in one spot, the simplicity has it's benefits, so the fact that the combat isn't overly complicated or hard makes it still plenty mindless while still being not entirely mindless, and I think that's a good spot for it to be.
I put in 268 hours at release. Loved the game. Completed the story lines in every zone and hit max level. I have no interests in end gameplay, so I was finished. Now they have added a desert zone. I love desert zones. Going to start to play again and next month a new expansion releases with mounts. So yes indeed. Very interested.
so i have over 2k hours in this game from launch, the main issues i hit where : BOTS, poor management of duping or bug exploitation (duping destroyed econemy, bug explotation like stacking passive buffs for both musket and bow and 1 hitting people) these issues continued for months without resolution, crafting felt frustrating, i spend so much time gathering to make something to literally throw away most of the time, too many loot drops and market overflowing with those, the finished product not being worth the materials costs by a large amount until literal end best in slot items, to make those you needed gear, trophies, 3 houses, food which was all workable but then you needed the city buffs and you cant get the advantage of the buff unless you have a house in that town, town owners went inactive or just working on their own things so waiting weeks to get a chance to make something that would sell to get enough to make those items was weeks of gathering then it was RNG for the hope you was going to get what you actually wanted. i had 3 servers die on me and switching and moving around i gave up in the end, im a crafter at heart, this game is not it for me, glad people enjoy it and having their fun, i got my time out of it however convoluted it was.
got into this game a few moths ago after giving up on launch.. wow i mean cant believe how much they've done to it, its really good now tbh. Just need some mates to run dungeons with lol.
Maybe I'm the only person, but I quit playing New World in the tutorial. The gameplay just felt really bad to me, and I can't quite put my finger on why. I've played MANY MMO's much deeper than the tutorial, but I couldn't get into this one at all.
wait til you pass through a town square & there's a 4 piece band playing 'Blacksmith's Arm'...its seeing/hearing things like that I find in no other mmo at this level. Fingers crossed on the expansion.
I loved coming back to the game and seeing the music component! MMOs need stuff like this that doesn't take itself too seriously and is added to the game simply because it's fun or cool. Thanks for watching :)
Would love to know your thoughts after being at endgame for maybe 20+ hours. Thats usually my go to for MMORPGs, just dislike getting to the end game and not enjoying it.
Well regardless of experience of endgame now it will be completely different and seemingly much more enjoyable next month due to the xpac coming out. Just some tedious systems and such being reworked or removed. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks! I came looking to see if the game was worth it. I wanted to get it at release, but didn't after hearing that it was a let down. I've had an itch about this game for awhile and your vid was what I needed, so thx for the honest review!
New world launch was one of the best mmo experinces ive had. I have played mmos for 22 years now. Played many launch days. New world in its first few months really was something else. You missed out on that because some youtubers and cringe fotm gamers said it was bad... never make that mistake again. In fact if a majority of a game community says something. It generally means the opposite was true. I feel for you.
I remember when ESO had no lock on function for bows it felt rewarding to get kills when leading shots. Hopefully the new world community don’t cry about needing a lock on function for this game. As a new player to new world I’m loving it so far and enjoy playing the game with my brother really sucks to lock mounts and transmog behind a paywall though.
same exact experience recently coming back. hit 36 and realized I was doing so many quests I forgot to stick to the MSQ and get azoth staff for Amrine lolol... Its the best MMO ive ever played just pure fun factor all the damn time.
HAH yeah I got so consumed doing every side quest that I didn't get my staff till WAY after 25 😂 was having a blast the whole time. Thanks for watching :)
Been waiting for this game to have controller support/UI which they originally said would be there at launch and here we are over 2 years later and still not there
So... What's actually changed since I played back during launch? Was expecting that based on the title, but this felt like a review of the exact same game. Has anything changed? For the better?
I used to play a lot at launch. Was pretty addicted. I ended up leaving after I couldn't level anymore unless I played and grinded for hours. I got back on last weekend thinking how good it was and how I enjoyed the ragdoll physics.... WELLLLL Lets just say I was very let down because it did not have ragdoll physics. I must have mistaken this with another game. In 2023 I find it next to impossible to get into a game that still uses 5 death animations and don't offer ragdoll. Well besides Project Zomboid. That's my ONLY exception. However, there was like a haunted village/are that really gave me Halloween vibes. I will be redownloading to explore that area. I wanna find it without looking up how to get there. ADD MOUNTS AND PETS!!! Great video btw. I expect your sub number to climb after this. Great job.
Appreciate the support!! Well come October there will be mounts it looks like in the xpac which is really cool to see. Their new content and zones definitely seem to stand a bit above the old content so hopefully they keep up that trend moving forward. Thanks for watching :)
Waiting for mounts to play again, I got insanely burnt out on running everywhere, I know you can TP but when the quest line requires you to go somewhere across the map and have no TP spots nearby it felt like a running sim, I get the exploration part of that but guess I don't have the patience anymore, been playing MMOs for 10+ years and that point A to B on foot gets old fast.
The soundtrack always gets me. Such a masterpiece. Also the background sounds in the jungle for example. Its kind of hard to get back into for me. I think i need more new weapons and more interesting items like the intscaling axe they announced to theorycraft and build my own character. Looking forward to the expansion (still think mounts are not needed but i thought the same in gw2 and they did a great job) and probably log in in the upcoming days :)
Bringing on Ramin Djwandi for the music was the smartest thing they could have done. The man absolutely killed it as he always does and the music just grabs you. Thanks for watching :)
I've been playing games for 40 or so years now and I have been getting very jaded with so many reviews recently. It seems its now trendy to trash a game and bomb reviews etc. I appreciate that this game had issues at the start but I returned recently to it to see if it had changed and I'm loving it. It made me feel like I was missing FFXIV which was odd but somehow more satisfying. Your review was fresh, honest and truthful in as much as you spoke as though you were saying, "I dont care if you hate me for saying this but this game is good." Thanks for this video and your honesty.
The biggest downside for me is that everyone can master everything, maxout it all. Feels like there is no choices. So no one is "special" in the end everyone have all the same skills. That was last time i played, i hope it changed.
I wouldn't say that has really changed no. But I respect that subjective take some won't like that. But other side of the table we have people who won't want to be limited in their capabilities due to class restrictions and such so just a personal thing for most. Thanks for watching :)
I've been playing since it was released, I have 4k+ hours. Even though New World has a lot of things wrong with it, it's still a game with a lot of pontentiality and that's why I still play it. One of the biggest problems with New World is the developer (David) who balances PvP, this guy is really bad at his job and because of him NW has lost tens of thousands of players because his PvP updates are horribly unbalanced. New World has been in broken Range meta for 15 months and NW has lost tens of thousands of players because of this meta and this guy David is still buffing Ranges and killing Melee classes. this guy doesn't know what an MMORPG is and how to balance it, he doesn't even have a clue. All he does is slaughter melee builds. In short, PvP and PvE are having their worst days since the release date of the game. AGS should stop working with David and put someone really good in that role. other problems: Deysnc (definitely solvable.) Dagger (Assasin) class is still not added to the game. (It's been 2 years... for god's sake AGS. An MMORPG without Assasin class... It's ridiculous to even think about it) optimization problems (definitely solvable). Stale content. Everything else can be fixed except the David issue. yes I say David issue because this guy has been working in AGS for 2 years and he still hasn't taken 1 step forward. this problem can only be fixed by change
Thanks for directly pointing out the current issues. The initial bugs and changes to major gameplay systems in the first few months really three me off from the game and caused a lot of turmoil for communities. It also masked all of the major balance issues . Cool to see the game is still immersive for some but I won’t be back anytime soon
Yeah interesting to hear feedback on current struggles from your experiences thank you. Haven't really gotten to the point where I've experienced all too much of that stuff yet but will be curious when I'm capped!
i dont know what you're talking about in terms of pvp being unbalanced. Right now is the most balanced new world has been in a long time. Every build is viable and you see everything in OPR. ~4-5 months ago you would see 20 out of the 40 people in OPR running musket or bow, now you see more like 5-8 usually (sometimes more with cross server). You used to rarely see fire staffs in wars and OPRs, now you see a handful. There hadnt been tanks in pvp for the longest time and ~6 months ago they came back into meta and now are a staple of a war/opr composition. Greatsword used to be abhorrently broken and was debuffed to perfection. Spear made a nice comeback. Sword and board is now being actively used at the top level as an assassin/disruptor rather than just as a tank weapon. Overall I don't think you realize that the meta for a long long time was light DPS REGARDLESS of range, and they changed it to a more balanced approach that generally requires more strategy and thought when putting together a composition of builds. When it comes to daggers, that is more of a personal thing. While it would be cool, why is this a major issue with the game? I personally would like if they added a "lightning staff" and tbh I think its essential that at some point we get a lightning damage weapon, but I'm not about to go around saying "wow these guys are SO incompetent and don't know what they're doing bc they're not releasing a lightning staff" Optimization and desync are definitely a problem, you got that right for sure. Need to see some improvements on that front soon. It's been a recent problem so hopefully it will be fixed asap
New World is my favorite mmorpg out there right now, the least expensive, the best combat, the best graphiques, the best sound !!! My friends and I all came back to the game and we are having such a great time we did not have such a good time in YEARS !!! We are loving it ! Lets gooo !!! :D
i cant see where people are saying the run animation is bad, it looks just fine to me, i played for like 100hours and never saw a problem with movements or anything, only issue is body blocking/knockback in combat from what ive seen
Yeah agreed the only thing I'll ever notice is the issue of attacking above or below yourself not registering but never a running issue! Thanks for watching:)
Yeah honestly feels like a night and day difference. Endgame might not be perfect but with the expansion fixing most of that it seems the future is bright! Thanks for watching :)
The problem I had with New World is if you don't have a group you can't do the best content. And as friends and players drop off over time it start to become unplayable. The game itself is awesome though.
One thing They did change which is nice is that for the "required" group content like the expeditions they have added a solo option as well. I still easily found groups for the content however some don't like that and I think it's nice to have. Thanks for watching:)
I DID enjoy the game quite a bit. But the biggest problem for me and a lot of other people, is dungeons. You’ll spend forEVER trying to find enough people for dungeon content that isn’t currently in rotation with mutations. Why they haven’t added cross-server dungeon finding is beyond me. Aside from that, it’s pretty good and solid all around with a few other hiccups.
Not any more for dungeons plus joining companies is always a huge help . I'm in one now and we are boosting our members gear and farming for the expansion
The grind to end game is a lot of fun, but once you’re in the end game, it’s just soooo boring. “Do a world tour, farm m10’s if you can find a decent group to run with, run exact same farm routes to possibly get a piece of crafting gear that you need but can only do once a day…the end. Oh you can do pvp, but if you’re pretty new to pvp in the game you’re at a major disadvantage as there are companies that are pure war loggers and just squish every company out there (LOOKING AT YOU VERTICAL)”
@@Vizzient they are a legacy company, my main is on Lilith, I just, couldn’t anymore. PvP just wasn’t fun anymore because all the hardcore pvp players went to them. Soooo many companies tried banding together only to get shut down and then they’d disband. I was in 4 different companies in 6 months that all said we were gonna be the top dawgs and give Vert a run for their money. All of them told me the same thing “we aren’t going anywhere, no matter how tough it gets, we will stick it out!” Lose ONE TIME to Vert and just disband. I may come back when mounts come just to give it a go, buttttt something in the pvp needs to change, especially since there are known aim botters that’ll admit it, but won’t get banned because the player counts too low 🤣
Bro this video was so perfectly put together I thought I was watching a 2 million sub youtuber lol! Keep this up man, you’re great at it!
Wow thank you! Working on my editing skills and finding my style but much appreciated. More to come!!
Honestly yeah. Awesome quality!
I realy had the Same thought!
Honestly thought it was 1.9 million and not 1.9k until I read your comment.
Yeah they really went all in with those aspects of the game and I love it. Thanks for watching :)
Is this p2w game?
@@falcon3169 no I couldn't categorize this as P2W. They do have purchasable cosmetics but that's about the extent of it!
@@falcon3169 definitely not a p2w game. Cosmetics is mainly it. Nothing that has any performance benefits
@@falcon3169it definitely is a P2W game idk wtf these other ppl are talking about 😂. You play the game and hit level cap and then are told that you have to buy a DLC to hit level and gear cap all over again and to get the mount system. Yea it’s P2W
This was way better than 90% of new world guides for new player so far, kudos for editor too. Awesome work :)
Appreciate that friend! Trying to get better at editing every day 😆 thanks for watching
@@Vizzient This is S tier editing. Keep on grinding, ur going to be big soon :)
Thanks for watching :)
i had preorder New World, i stop playing because no mounts, some time later we got mounts but guess what, we have to pay for it, that is madness
Great video m8, you got my sub. (:
You came in at the right time too, we just got transmog a couple days ago which is a ton of fun, and in a couple months mounts and first expansion coming, so I think it's only up and up from here. You should check out the road map for the year, some really great stuff on the horizon.
A lot of people still rag on the game, but I think it's just for the meme. It really has come a long way, has an amazing foundation, and a crazy bright future if they make the right decisions moving forwards.
Thanks for the support! Wow I'll have to look into the roadmap once I cap out because that's all news to me 😂 but exciting stuff!!
I agree with you, all your points are spot on. I just recently came back to NW myself.
Why thank you sir. I'm glad to hear it! Playing right now myself and loving it. Thanks for watching :)
Very well done keep it up, you got my sub
Thank you friend!
Awesome video! Keep it up , don't stop - your content is fire.
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching :)
Great video, i wish people would give new world another go because its actually a really enjoyable game these days.
Agreed! That launch really did it dirty but it feels so much better now. Thanks for watching :)
I'm returning to New World very soon 😀
I just returned yesterday and it feels so much better. I played for 2 months with a group of friends when it first came out and ended up being disappointed in a game we really wanted to love
@@AlienAura really hoping this can be a turning point for the game!
Appreciate the support :) nah I respect it keep doin it! It's important people get what they want in their games out there. Thanks for watching!!
Good vid bro! I just came recently too and have been having a blast. Loved it launch, then didn't. Now I love it again.

nice video. For me Guild Wars 2 did the trick. Its all i ever wanted. I will play it for the rest of my life xD
Well I may have just recently put out a video about my journey starting GW2 and absolutely LOVIN it 😆thanks for watching!!
I started playing New World a couple days ago and I am about 20 hours in, and so far, and I am loving this game!!!
It's a damn good time!!
great video man! important, and plenty of good information.
Appreciate it friend!
Damn that's actually brutal!
Appreciate it friend! Good luck getting back out there it's a great time 😎
The reason why the gathering is so good is because at one point during development, it was a survival game. The game went through different genres during development. At one point is was a pure PvP game, then a survival game, then a battle royale and a lot of the mechanics and systems in the game reflect those different points of development.
It's so good that everyone does it.. good luck finding a node
Did they added more quest variaty? Because killing x amount of monbs or picking up x amount of things for almost every quest was a pain in the ass
Yeah the immersion factor in NW is really amazing. I think the great graphics really contributes to that. Thanks for watching :)
@@Vizzientehh… walked infront of a waterfall and didnt get pulled by the currents. That broke immersion for me. Water in nw just ignores the player model. Wish they focused on swimming instead of mounts

Nice video, mate! Quick question: on 4:52, were you able to kill Hari (the abominable snowman on the left) in your current level?
LOL nice catch! No I tried a few times and he was too bad ass for me 😂
I just want to say with the total overhaul they did feeding the lore to you, it is a shame to not delve into it, I am considering making a new character just to go through the story since when I orginally played it a year or so after launch and the game was still not 100% sure what it wanted to be.
If you're down for some casual feel good MMO times New World really delivers!
I started day 1 and still play. It's fantastic and only getting better.
It really has gotten so much better though. Thanks for watching:)
Generally how I feel like it goes we end up missing the idea of WoW not the game 😅 thanks for watching!
It's in a really good state right now I think you'll be impressed! Thanks for watching :)
Same for me ! i went back to the game and is really fun ... looking forward for the new expac !
Glad to hear it! New xpac is looking awesome. Thanks for watching :)
i've been a fairly active player on new world since launch and despite all of the game's early shortcomings post-launch I've always said that its one of my favorite games to play just because of how beautiful it looks.
Those graphics and sound quality really just pull you in don't they. Thanks for watching :)
OK! FINE! I'LL GET BACK INTO IT! The guy's I met while playing this a few years ago, got back into it and told me to get back into it. I had to stop cuz I had such a dopamine hit from leveling up. . . leveling anything up . . I even neglected work.
THE TIME HAS COME
I just restarted last week and couldn't agree more with this video..
Glad you're enjoying it too! Did you join a fresh start world yourself?
@Vizzient I did not as I didn't see it was an option... just did maramma because it had the "highest" population.
Ah definitely was my choice before I saw the fresh options cause yeah huge population
@Vizzient after seeing the fresh start in your great video, the back of my head was just start again there... but couldn't do it lol. Next character I'll know to look haha.
Gonna get back in because of this video! Ice gauntlet main coming up!
Glad to hear it! Game definitely feels much less grindy early on. Thanks for watching :)

awesome video my friend, im about 300+ hours into new world, and just returning after taking a short break. you nailed everything that i absolutely love about this game.
Appreciate the support friend! It's a great game with a lot to offer. Thanks for watching :)
Just bought the game and played my first few hours. It reminds me of the original Fable, which was one of my favorites growing up.
I can see that similarity! Thanks for watching :)
Added new updates?
same as you took another look and I was shocked at how better it was --- it was a good game to start with but now its so dam good
Great job on the video very well done and informative.
The game has come a long way since launch that's for sure!!
I am back into IT and i Love IT!
You're gonna have a blast it's really come a long way! Thanks for watching :)
Its the same for me, combat feels extremely cluncky, all those animation locks feel terrible
3 skills
Appreciate the support! All tips and tricks are welcome 😎 Thanks for watching!
@@bobbymoore8416 Hah yes this is great!
In the sense that now everyone just goes the quest route instead of the group activities method?
@@Vizzientthere are still group activities for elites dungeons and such activities that require a groups, but in term of leveling its just solo questing. I dont mind it but i liked it the old route. Still a good game tho have 2 maxed chrs thinking to make a third if they drop another fresh start, grinding trophies and trading skills is so satisfying.
@@Mr3Nice1Guy9 glad to hear you're still enjoying it! Skilling in this game is so addicting lol

I accept this responsibility! Thanks for watching :)
The original XP cap was about 2.2M XP now its 1.1M so they cut the xp you need in half while also revamping the questing experience and adding more quests
Ah right on makes sense I can definitely feel that while playing! Thanks for watching :)
When did that go into effect? Ive got about 200 hours in. I preordered and played it from the very beginning then just stopped. Im max level as of now, but knowing expansion is coming I'l' have to start back up. I like the idea of mounts.

Thank you. Might be the MMO that gets me back into the genre.
It's a cool MMO hybrid vibe for sure. That and GW2 are my go to's right now! Thanks for watching :)
Yeah can definitely agree with that! Thanks for watching :)
Wait how do you only have 2k subs ? Lol you gonna blow up for sure fam
Ayy appreciate the support friend!! I hope you're right cause I love doin it. Thanks for watching!!
And yeah that's all just the free content before the new XPAC. Enjoy friend!
so i have over 2k hours in this game from launch, the main issues i hit where : BOTS, poor management of duping or bug exploitation (duping destroyed econemy, bug explotation like stacking passive buffs for both musket and bow and 1 hitting people) these issues continued for months without resolution, crafting felt frustrating, i spend so much time gathering to make something to literally throw away most of the time, too many loot drops and market overflowing with those, the finished product not being worth the materials costs by a large amount until literal end best in slot items, to make those you needed gear, trophies, 3 houses, food which was all workable but then you needed the city buffs and you cant get the advantage of the buff unless you have a house in that town, town owners went inactive or just working on their own things so waiting weeks to get a chance to make something that would sell to get enough to make those items was weeks of gathering then it was RNG for the hope you was going to get what you actually wanted. i had 3 servers die on me and switching and moving around i gave up in the end, im a crafter at heart, this game is not it for me, glad people enjoy it and having their fun, i got my time out of it however convoluted it was.
got into this game a few moths ago after giving up on launch.. wow i mean cant believe how much they've done to it, its really good now tbh. Just need some mates to run dungeons with lol.
It really has come a long way!
Maybe I'm the only person, but I quit playing New World in the tutorial. The gameplay just felt really bad to me, and I can't quite put my finger on why. I've played MANY MMO's much deeper than the tutorial, but I couldn't get into this one at all.
No idea! Hope you got that refund if that's all you played 😂 thanks for watching!!
wait til you pass through a town square & there's a 4 piece band playing 'Blacksmith's Arm'...its seeing/hearing things like that I find in no other mmo at this level. Fingers crossed on the expansion.
I loved coming back to the game and seeing the music component! MMOs need stuff like this that doesn't take itself too seriously and is added to the game simply because it's fun or cool. Thanks for watching :)

@@Vizzient you're very welcome. Thanks for a noticing my comment. I really wish they could add rag doll. Lol.
Well luckily that comes soon! At least they made the TP system so much more accessible and usable in the meantime. Thanks for watching :)
Is this game still heavy on crafting, as in mandatory? That was the reason for me not even giving it a go to begin with :P
I would say no longer mandatory but definitely beneficial
Runescape is an example of an MMO with a similar design concept. It worked very well!
almost 1200 hours, love the game, open-world, pitch a tent in the wilderness, sit down and watch the sunset...
Yeah the world feels so cozy and welcoming it's great just hangin out.
AGS should stop working with David and put someone really good in that role.
other problems:
Deysnc (definitely solvable.)
Dagger (Assasin) class is still not added to the game. (It's been 2 years... for god's sake AGS. An MMORPG without Assasin class... It's ridiculous to even think about it)
optimization problems (definitely solvable).
I personally would like if they added a "lightning staff" and tbh I think its essential that at some point we get a lightning damage weapon, but I'm not about to go around saying "wow these guys are SO incompetent and don't know what they're doing bc they're not releasing a lightning staff"
Optimization and desync are definitely a problem, you got that right for sure.
Coming back really made me remember how good the graphics and sound design are it's crazy. Glad you're enjoying it too! Thanks for watching :)
@@Vizzient thank you for making the video 🫶
What's your impression of Black Desert Online?
TBD ;)
i cant see where people are saying the run animation is bad, it looks just fine to me, i played for like 100hours and never saw a problem with movements or anything, only issue is body blocking/knockback in combat from what ive seen
Yeah agreed the only thing I'll ever notice is the issue of attacking above or below yourself not registering but never a running issue! Thanks for watching:)
@@Vizzient i never thought that hit registers was a problem i assumed it was my network connection haha
I mostly noticed on what people wear and its the ugliest sht in any mmo. Clothing/gear is just awful looking
I played at launch quit after a month. I returned during the summer and the game I returned too is wonderful I look forward to tye expansion
Yeah honestly feels like a night and day difference. Endgame might not be perfect but with the expansion fixing most of that it seems the future is bright! Thanks for watching :)
Isn't New World the MMO that was released by Temu, Etsy, Ebay or whatever it was?
Perhaps you mean Amazon?
Same difference
@@BrimCopper if you say so!
Downloading it again cheers
I'm having a great time so I'm glad to hear it :) Thanks for watching!!
tik tok boy fr fr ong made me laugh, subscribe, and like the video
I DID enjoy the game quite a bit.
But the biggest problem for me and a lot of other people, is dungeons.
You’ll spend forEVER trying to find enough people for dungeon content that isn’t currently in rotation with mutations.
Why they haven’t added cross-server dungeon finding is beyond me.
Aside from that, it’s pretty good and solid all around with a few other hiccups.
Some cross server functionality would definitely be a boost! Thanks for watching :)
Not any more for dungeons plus joining companies is always a huge help . I'm in one now and we are boosting our members gear and farming for the expansion
This game gives you the illusion you can mix and match weapons but in reality you need the right attribute for the weapons.
Well there is a good variety of weapons within select build paths though (str, dex) especially with the ones added/being added.
1600 hours and I havent played in a year atleast. Look forward to jumping back in with the DLC expansion
XPAC looking very good! Thanks for watching:)
Can’t wait to see how they do the new lotr mmo
Staying hopeful! Thanks for watching :)
I think this is one of the best MMO's out there
Its definitely come a long way and has become a great game! Thanks for watching :)
Lol I do see vertical all over the map!
