I would love to try their food there one day... Masarap talaga ang Maranao, Tausog and Maguindanaoan food. Their food is close to the Malaysian and Indonesian food.

Unconventional. Adventurous. Thank you for showcasing this side of the Philippines. Tausug, Yakan, Maranao, Maguindao, among other ethnic cuisine are such an understatement. I prefer Philippine Muslim food over mainstream ones any time of the day! 😁
Among of my favorites are Chicken Piyanggang, Tiula Itum, Pyaparan, Crabs/Lobsters/Locon with "alavar" sauce, baulo, locot, pastil (empanada style), satti, among many others! Yumm! 😝
Roti prata, nasi goreng, briyani all these foods can be found in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore

These foods should be way more common all over the Philippines. They’re eaten all over Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo. Yet you have to really look for them in Luzon 😭

Seaweed sidedish is best served with grilled fish or other types of seafood. Personally, it won't go along well with chicken or beef.

If you land on manila go to quiapo, and i dont know the other place because if there's a halal food go to mindanao area there's so many Muslim there its easy to find halal
