2:08:13 - the intended solution is to fly very high up on the vortex, and then drop down into the portal you were using to get the vortex here, and then the distance kinda lines up. But Portal (both two original games and all the mods) do actually cheat at all jumps like this - there's no way to actually line them up so that they're consistent across players doing various things, so when you have some amount of speed when entering a place where a jump is supposed to happen, it launches you in a way that makes the jump line up. It's of course massively abused in speedruns too.
