The premium is not so great, but it is a great idea.
I'd probably prefer a product that comes with seperate 1g bars that don't have to be broken apart, but still, these things are cool
For those interested in this kind of thing but find themselves temporarily short of funds for a gold sheet, they also do silver ones. I have a silver one as I thought it was cool. For gold I usually buy sovereigns for the low premiums and decent liquidity.

I have the 50 gr bar that breaks into 1 gr, also a few 1 oz bars that break into 1/10th oz bars. Will not open and break until the SHTF. If the premiums weren’t so high this would be my gold of choice.

I have a lot of these in preparation for something, possibly going wrong in the economy. That way you can just barter and trade and pay 1 g of gold at a time. I thought it was a smart idea.

I have to laugh no offense intended gold is malleable but it isn’t as easy to break as one would think it actually holds together quite well I could tell you had to edit the breaking part as it probably took a while lol nice looking bar thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Actually these are quite easy to break, the cut was because I had to make sure the video was shorter than 1 minute to be a UA-cam #Short
@@SilverSeeker so you bent it six times on camera and still had 4 seconds of time before your 1 minute was up which means it doesn’t break fast and easy it’s ok if I’m right and I’ve tried to break gold in half from specimens in rock which isn’t pure like the bar you have and it’s not fast and easy in 24 carat form it’s even more malleable and without the factory cuts in that bar it would take a long time to bend and break it.
@@48thstateprospecting Yes I agree that without the factory cuts it would take more time to break it. I have broken apart a dozen of these things, they're easy. Bend it all the way back (complete fold) and it will immediately snap when you bend it back forward... it takes no time at all. Gold is Malleable but these are also very thin 1 gram bars with pre-cut sections like you pointed out. As for the 1 minute thing, I always keep them a few seconds under to make sure I don't accidentally go over and it doesn't quality as a short (it happened to me once).
