Happy birthday! You gave yourself a great gift!! I love every single one of your videos. I enjoy hearing you talk about your books and love when Emma visits. Thank you for sharing your love of books with us.
Happy birthday hope you had a lovely day x what a special way to spend your 50th - sounds perfect. You will love the play - I saw it last year and it was fantastic
Happy birthday! So many good finds here. Lots of Brandon Sanderson to read!! 🙌🎉😂 So excited for Beartown (a re-read for me)! It’s definitely a heavy one though, so be prepared for that…
@LibrariesandLattes I will definitely need to be in the right mood for Backman but I do look forward to reading it. I'm already reading book 4 in Mistborn and I like it. It has a different vibe then the first 3, but I'm liking it, for sure!
The thousand and one nights is so long! I have just one book, maybe that’s a shorter version. Beartown is one of the options on October, so take a little break from Backman in September and then I think Beartown will be… emotional, but maybe not hit so close to home. If you want of course, I don’t want you to be broken! 😊 The Before the coffee gets cold copy is so pretty! I think that’s the second part, if you want to read them in order. I think they are all on Bookbeat. I think the Mousetrap book is so pretty, and what a good way to remind yourself of something to look forward to for next year! And Happy birthday! You look a lot younger than 49! 💜✨ Also I love that Emma is so excited about Beartown as well! 😂 Yes Shadow of the Wind! 😍 One of my favorites ever, I hope you’ll love it! And if you do, there are more books to follow
@ellenmadebookclub Good to know about Before the coffee gets cold, I hadn't realised. I do want to read Beartown, for sure, and hopefully I will get to it in October, a break from his emotional writing will be good 😊
Happy Birthday!🎉 I just read The Weaver and the Witch Queen by Genevieve Gornichec and really enjoyed it, it takes place in the early 900s and Egil's Saga is one of the historical sources. Egil is in it but not mentioned by name. Which makes me want to read Egil's saga even more. I did look up Grettis Saga but it is very expencive in english. Moby Dick is long but very entertaning for a classic, so it was a fairly fun quick read! I have read IT three times if that helps make it less intimidating. I have Flights by Olga Tokarczak on my tbr too!
