I wanted to make a Song like this for a long Time but until now I didn't have any Japanese Instruments. So I am very happy to finally be able to do this Kind of Music as well. This Song is about the Spirit of Japanese Culture, especially the Samurai.
As always, 100% selfcomposed on Keyboard. Production made with Magix Music Maker Pro 16.
The Picture is a Frame of the Movie "The Last Samurai".

The Instruments are all Japanese (Koto, Shamisen, Shakuhachi, Taiko). The Melodies are in both Cultures almost the same.^^
I made a few songs in an Asian style, search for the songs: Kanpai!, Dawn of Wonders, Qi, Into Solitude, Arashi and Peace of Mind. Some are more Japanese, others more Chinese.
I don’t mean to bother, but out of pure curiosity, may I ask why you decided to title this song ‘Immortal?’
@@myyurplelis1898 Of course! The song is about the Samurai. Samurai were highly professional warriors who were trained from a young age to give their life without a moment of hesitation when the time comes and their lord commands it. Often death was even seen as a welcome thing by the Samurai, dying by the hands of a worthy opponent for example was seen as noble, one was supposed to wish for this death. Ritual suicide, Seppuku, was also seen as a noble way to die. The title Immortal is based on this, to the Samurai their physical body was only a tool and was to be thrown away at the right moment. The spirit was what truly mattered, and so living a noble life and dying a noble death was what would immortalize a person, their actions and their honour were undying.

To answer your Question: I use an old Yamaha Keyboard to compose and transfer it to the PC. There I use VST to produce the Sounds, mostly EWQL, Vita or DSK.
This song is beautiful no words can describe how beautiful and emotionally powerful this song is... it has very strong meaning... my mind wonders into the ancient world where the army is off to war with honor... you have done an excellent job Adrian von Ziegler

When I listen to this I feel like looking at one of this samurai that fights in a raining day surrounded by 20 enemies and only standing with a katana ready to give his life for the sake of his nation. Then I can see the grace of his movement and the power of his arms when he strikes down his foe. And finally, after a long battle he stands up and look at the sunset that pierce the foggy atmosphere.
Why 20? Why not a whole army of gun weilding soldiers against a samurai and trust me,if he listens to this he'll kill all of them..all

So beautiful. It carries Chinese and Japanese culture to it, but I feel a little bit of Celtic in there, too. I guess that the folk instruments used in many cultures can sound quite similar.

Except they didn't hold the line. The soldiers freaked out when they saw the oncoming Samurai forces and began to panic and break ranks. As such, the majority of them were slaughtered. Granted, they were put in a situation they were still grossly unprepared and unequipped for, and against a hostile force that's sole focus culturally is warfare. The Last Samurai is an excellent film.

Adrian Von Ziegler is the reason my study is engaging. When I study physics and Mathematics, although my love for the physics concepts and mathematical methods is enough to keep me going, I need 'Immortal" playing for a little extra motivation.
Oh, no way, man! As replied before, these are traditional japanese instruments and I also think the author of this beautiful song would not be ashamed in the era of imperial Japan. For me it is the best song composed by Adrian and I feel deep respect to the traditions here....Please note, chinese culture has influented japanese a lot (in fact, you can hear similiar music in Korea, Taiwan...and less similiar but also close in Vietnam, Burma etc.).
