This is why a tungsten pickaxe can mine meteorite, while a silver one can’t. Also just learned the ore that makes the weaker tools compared to its counterpart is compensated for with mining speed
I thought the truffle was fake because ik gold was 55 (so assumed platinum was also) because truffle says how everyone tries to eat him so i assumed he hated everyone hit the dryad

My hell bridge (for WOF) IS SO LONG that the fireblossoms go through both stages by the time you get to the end so i thought that the blossom wa sthe fully grown version
its the third one because the witch doctor tried to make truffle a potion and yes fire blossom grow in the day i know it cus i tried farming for the obsidian skin potion FYI i am an ecpert mobile terraria player and i have beaten terraria getfixedboi in mobile (damn i hate moon boulder's and it was on legendary mode it was hell took me 6 months to beat so yeah)
i realised the gold and platinum difference in my playthrough i was looking at the tools then realised "wait platinum pickaxe has more power" this is the same with crimson and corruption like the undertaker is faster but the musket does more damage

Plat pick has 59% pick power and gold has 55% As mentioned in my comment Tungsten is better than silver statistically, this isn't subjective, it has 50% pick power so it can mine meteorite while silver can't because it has 45% pick power. That works across all pre-hardmode ores. Platinum>Gold, Tungsten>Silver, Lead>Iron, Tin>Copper. It's a fact. The only pickaxe in pre-hardmode that doesn't have a better pick power is Tin, but copper has -1 range and slower use time.
