Helpful tip: it maybe easier to create a QR code using something like Canva. They now have a feature to edit the color of the "dots" and the background and margin, making it much easier to edit. If you do a transparent background, 0 margin, and download with a transparent background as a .PNG or .SVG, it will make an easier-to-manipulate file :)

The biggest thing you’ll have to do it have somewhere on the web to hold those voices like this one is done using a google drive link. In order to provide the service you want you will need to be able to have something that the voice message can stay on forever. You can upload to google drive from your phone

@@out_the_crib_customs Well if its paper studio brand vinyl its no good for these kinds of things. But it really depends on on the vinyl. Most should cut on the plain old vinyl setting but all machines are different so you will need to play around with it. Oracal and Starcraft work best for these smaller cuts.
loved the video and I was successful creating the actual code but am struggling when I go to make it it comes up with the two pages the code and white background but I am doing something wrong at that point I guess - is there something special to how you put vinyl on mat ? when it starts it doesn't cut and then gets an error that can't find make sure I am using white ??? any ideas ..the video doesn't actually show this step so must be doing something wrong

@@CorinneBlackstone that is interesting because I read that it works on wood and bright aluminum. They have examples online of engraved wood and even qr engraved business cards. They have metal blanks that I ordered on Amazon but I can't tell when I switch to engrave what will be cut and what will be left because it flips to being invisible lines. I guess I have to play with it. There are lots of engraved qr code examples in wood and metal maybe not from a cricut though. Thanks for the reply!
@@FilmGrad07 here’s the thing those are usually engraved using a laser engraver. The cricut doesn’t do such a great job. I would say try it but don’t be shocked if it doesn’t work. The cricut engraving is not awesome

But in preparing my engraving vector file with a png and I tried it where I selected the white parts out and I tried it where I selected the black parts out and when I look at how the engraver will read it it just looks like empty lines and boxes. You can't tell how it will engrave or cut. So do you remove the white parts or the black parts in an engrave file is what I was trying to figure out. I will go to Joann today for some metal dog tags and play with it so I can make the proper file. It probably won’t ever play automatically that’s not how it works. You can upload the video to a private UA-cam but it’s still going to need to hit play

I followed the instructions and cut two pieces of vinyl a white and a black then got lost after that. You layer them meaning you place the black on top of the white. To know what to weed you can look at the image of the we code to help you see what pieces need to stay. Honestly checking out the print then cut QR code might be a little easier as well. There is no layering or weeding for that.

@@BigGucciHands24 simply put the vinyl color side up if you are use adhesive vinyl. This is a really old video. Also be sure you are using the right verbiage. This is cutting and not printing two very different things.
You cannot print on just any vinyl. The vinyl must be a printable product. This is not really a good candidate for clear because you need to have a contrasting back color so the phone can read the code.
I’m trying to save a voice from a video, when I try to upload it to Cricut I get the message. You have selected an unsupported file. Is that because it’s video.

It’s just a square. You take a shape make it fit behind the QR code cut it out. There’s nothing special to it. If your code is going on a light background you don’t even need it
I am talking about audio because that’s what the QRcode leads to. It’s a song. This code is on the side of a picture frame with a photo of my first dance and the code takes you to the song

If they are sticking to your mat it sounds like you are cutting too deep. They should stay on the heat transfer mask

Make sure you take all the pieces of the QR code and weld them. Design space is being a real pain lately

Truly I do not remember which part cut first. It doesn't really matter which cuts first just that you put the black on top of the white

You lost me with the white square. I never saw you make a white square around the code
It’s just a square. You take a shape make it fit behind the QR code cut it out. There’s nothing special to it. If your code is going on a light background you don’t even need it

I am talking about audio because that’s what the QRcode leads to. It’s a song. This code is on the side of a picture frame with a photo of my first dance and the code takes you to the song
