That is so true. Before my sister lost a lot of weight, all the boys would never talk to her, and be mean to her. Now that she is super skinny and beautiful, all of them are staring at her and are nice to her now.

I know I’m prettier than I think (took me 40 yrs to say this instead of agreeing with people who tell me I’m ugly) because of actually how many ugly people told me I was ugly. And these people usually all had some major physical flaw that made them feel unattractive so they would pin it on me. I grew up believing I wasn’t attractive until I turned 40 (Im 47 yrs old now and everyone believes I look a lot younger than 47 which is a huge compliment in itself) and realized I was still thin and petite and not getting any gray hairs yet (still don’t have any grays at 47 yrs old still thin and petite) while all my friends are gaining weight and complaining about their looks tell me I’m ugly and yet Im still attracting a really good looking guy. It’s a double standard reality. Some people tell me I’m ugly (usually less attractive people), while good looking guys chase me. Only my pretty friends tell me I’m pretty. When I look in the mirror I see myself as attractive. I’m also kind which does tend to attract mean people. I was told by my mentor when I asked why people less attractive than me tell me I’m ugly? They said, jealousy. Often people who are jealous will project onto you the very negative qualities they possess in themselves. Again they said if you notice pretty people actually tell you the honest truth of who you are because their level of confidence is higher and they see more positive in others as they do in themselves. I have since learned to recognize the difference between verbal abuse and the truth and can honestly say I feel I’m attractive. Also, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I’m sure there would be a couple people who would disagree about me being attractive. I don’t take it personally anymore
Both looks and personality are important. Most people find me physically attractive. I am 6'1", good body, attractive face but then as i am still not confident and insecure (regardless of the fact i know i am physically attractive) they don't find me attractive for very long

I had a ooworker who had what I can only best call an extremely masculine jawline, and I swear to freakin' dawg no matter where I would walk into with him, EVERY female would lock their eyes onto him and look like they would do anything he would ask. He was oblivious to it but I was fascinated by the phenomenon so I studied it and it was like certain clockwork...every restaurant, store, gas station...my facial features since birth have always been more pretty and feminine rather than handsome and masculine. So females look right past me but damn it would blow my mind! I often reminded him about it telling him he could get any girl he wanted but he never really believed me. I could always see it better than him because while the females paid no attention to me I could observe them intently whilst most females would look away when he would look at them.
