"You're wasting you're gum" Standing next to me is an imperfect version of myself that I created from trauma But we have all suffered trauma of one sort or another, and are all imperfect versions of ourselves. Perceiving ourselves as victims is so harmful emotionally. It strips one of all personal power, and leaves you on the look-out for events that reinforce the sadness of being a victim. For me, learning the practice of being grateful for every small thing has helped immensely with changing the victim narrative. I continue to wrestle, but see positive change. For anyone that reads this, take care and conclude not too quickly or to certainly that you are the ill-fated children of Doom and gloom, drama and trauma, darkness and pain, for, wherever the mind and the attention repeatedly dwell, the divine honors with the manifestations thereof, whether or not it be good bad or indifferent. You are your own children and Masters your own condemners and saviors, your own heaven and hell, the words of Oscar Wilde, from his his masterpiece, The Picture of Dorian Gray, truer than ever be imagined.
