You are welcome! I never really needed it before..... until I started using it.... and now it's kind of cool for some things.... extra steps, but it's nice to have the option.
Thanks for this. Eyeballing the starting point has been the bane of my existence sometimes. ha ha ha. Still trying to learn and use just basic features and I want to really like the machine and software.
I do not send the etch from the touchscreen/machine. The Etch settings are in the LDS software and that is where you will set it up from. This video shows only setting up the Point of Origin, not sending a project to cut or etch.
@@cookiecooke9442 calibration is only for a very, very specific issue.... Are the cuts off the exact same amount on every single design? Is the mat completely flat? Are the rollers on the edge of the mat and not on the adhesive of the mat? Are the rollers free and clear of debris? Calibration is the last resort after all troubleshooting has been exhausted... But here is how - ua-cam.com/video/PPFrD5gvo74/v-deo.htmlsi=YKB_BdPl5IWH4CIB If you still have issues after troubleshooting, please contact Siser Support.
It's an option you have to set the exact point of origin or the starting point. You don't HAVE to use it. I didn't use it until I started etching. Everything before I had used the eyeball manual method to set my blade tip where I wanted it to start. Etching is permanent, and if you are trying to get exact placement in the center of an object, it can help. If you are off by a bit when manually setting it, you'll see that in the etch.
It was really hard to find the way using Juliet Machine exactly. You save me! very appreciate:-)
Thanks for this helpful video! I will need to practice, but this showed me what the steps are! Thanks for taking the time to make this video for us!
You are welcome!

Do you have to start the etch at the machine or can you go to the computer and start the job?

Here's an example of an etching in the center of a blank..... the 2nd full etch I did
