Started with 3mm tripointed picks because broke. Downsized to .8mm Tortex, and currently use .7mm on bass and guitar. Sometimes .6mm as I like a softer attack on guitar
At this moment the V-picks 2.75mm works the best for me. But I realize that there are a lot of other great picks. It looks like a never ending searching for the right pick
Guitar Mastery Method I say you're right to experiment and try different picks. But I've always had the same results using a thicker pick. I also have to find my small amplifier, it's not a quality one but would definitely hear more using it, like harmonics and pinch harmonics, which I love!
I prefer using either a medium or heavy pick. Sometimes I prefer a medium pick other times a Heavy pick, depends on how I feel and the mood I am in. lol
Fantastic little consolidatio lesson , you guys are ace 👍

Thank You Owen.
Always good lessons Owen!!! This might sound strange, but I find that using a thin pick works better than a thick one for electric

When using an acoustic guitar, the thin picks tend to sound clicky when strumming.

Can .7 thickness be good for playing electric shred and fast palm muting metal type stuff?
@@GuitarMasteryMethod Thanks, I'm going to try with a .7 though. It's comfortable
