So much bla about a one-sided emotional relationship with a company. Its not a your aunt you are talking about its just a watch brand. What I am missing in this 8 minute ramble is enjoyment for the watches you talk about. you seem utterly consumed by mindgames, rivalries and notions of what these watches might mean to you. Omega and Rolex make good watches, maybe find peace and just buy/keep one that you like without implying statements about your or their position in the universe.
Why don’t you Get Stuffed! If you don’t like it move on Smart Arse!
@@BrendanBoswell okidoke
👋
Agreed. A very angry and sad little man.
Another Reason For You To Move On Too!
In my opinion the new Speedy white dial is absolutely gorgeous. All “market nonesense” aside, a damn beautiful timepiece in its own right. I can’t believe there’s folk out there still thinking watches are investments. Buy what you like, not what you think the resale value will be. Wear the hell out your watches, scrapes and dents, all the better. Forget the rest of the bulls*it. If you can get a discount, all the better. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I don’t think there ever was an Omega Investment Class, I didn’t buy an Omega to make a pound!
@@BrendanBoswellthat's lucky then! 😂
Hey always love your content. I have the OG worldtimer, blue with polished steel. When I set the inner ring to GMT it correctly sets time for most of the other time zones. I think day light saving throws it out for a couple of time zones.
So what would you suggest is a good discount to get from an Authorised Omega dealer with 5 year warranty?
20% minimum
@BrendanBoswell OK good.
In the UK 🇬🇧... I bought two Stainless Steel and 18k Sedna Gold Omega watches from a well known authorised dealer.
35% off one watch
38.5% off second watch
Both with 5 years Omega Warranty. As a buy-to-wear owner... I'm happy with that.
On the grey got latest seamaster 3 k off retail,,, happy camper😉
Great Video. Got the call for 41mm Datejust about 3 weeks ago after 2 years! Opinion on the No time to Die Omega at retail?
No Don’t Do It, you can get a mint NTTD 2023 for £6200 to £6500 full set
The Speedy Rising Sun, limited to 2020 pieces, under the radar, currently decent value and one of best looking ever, they even put the 300m on the fly adjustment clasp on it, winner winner chicken dinner
I enjoy your channel. Don’t always agree.
I purchased a 40 mm aqua terra in January. I’ve been very happy with it. It only gains 1s a day and doesn’t run out of power reserve like my IWC.
Omega had discounted 15% and my AD took another 10% off. So I have been happy with the watch and the price.
I suggest still buying them, as they are still good watches, but never at full price.
I’m in Australia and have been on waitlists at 3 dealers for a 41mm. datejust for over a year. Gold ones are readily available here but not the plain stainless steel ones
Rather have 3 omegas than the latest blancpain release at 26k aud, point is you can get them
What's the best watch between Omega and Tudor in your opinion
Omega, Tampons than Tudor!
B.B. I’ve been away. Your show is still terrific. Catching up on the older ones.
When are you going to get your channel back on track?
@@BrendanBoswell Been working with / helping THE WATCH REPORTER, But I can’t decide re content. I just don’t know enough about watches to do a watch only show. Won’t do a crazy right wing show like Paul Thorpe. Simply. I can’t decide Brendan
Stick to what you know than it’s easier!
Great video and info as usual! Look forward to the next one!
I picked up a white speedy and the boutique was busy with clients and another speedy collector was picking his up the same day.
Jesus, Please call your sponsor next time!
There’s lots of interest in the white speedy from the usual suspects (speedy collectors). I doubt claims of a wait list for it. I think those are rumors from flippers looking to cash in. The white speedy isn’t going to be the same cash cow for the flippers as the snoopy or the ed white because it’s as easy to make as the plain vanilla speedy.
Yep. Omega boutique just popped up in my local shopping centre on the Gold Coast Australia. All Omegas no longer being sold in AD.
It’s interesting that they believe it’s a good idea! Appreciate you sharing.
Also. Question for question day. Could you comment on the omega Schumacher. Vintage. Red dial. I see one for sale. Is it a Ferrari ie Micheal Shu watch or nickname ?
That’s a tiny watch not for a man it’s just a collectors watch!
Brendan. What are your thoughts with Zenith. I tried the El primero chronomaster on the other day and it was a beauty. Will never get the call for a Daytona and I don’t think it’s an imitation because when you know you know. Just be interested to know your view. The Zenith is just slightly more than Omega equivalent (speed 57 for example)
I was thinking the same but the side of the Zenith has no curves! It’s too unrefined! I like my watches like the ladies with more curves! Was serious about the limited 250 green till I tried the watch on. ☘️
A lot of people seem to have Omega instead of Rolex due to the lack of Rolex supply.
I'd have bought a Rolex by now... but with all their messing around, controlling the market... it's pushed me straight into the arms of Omega, Grand Seiko, Cartier, Zenith...
I will buy another Rolex again, but they've missed out on a chunk of money from me.
I never had a bad experience at Omega but the pricks refuse to give discounts. Fell in love a AUD $100K watch though.
Looks like Rolex may be doing a full Rose gold with chocolate dial. You may have just hit a home run.
Got offered the new white speedy on Monday, my brother got it offered to him on the Saturday, supposedly a waitlist could have had one there and then. Story was someone hadn’t picked it up and was available both days!
This Comment Shows Me To Be A Truth Teller I’m So Grateful To Real Subscribers That Have Real Experience A Knowledge! ❤️☘️🍀
@@BrendanBoswellim waiting out for the 30% off my mate Brendan has promised! 😂😂👍🏻 keep up the great work
I take one too at 30% in January 2025, Tell him to reach out to me I promise not to tell 😜!
Are you sure you're using your world time function correctly? They can be annoying to set, but it should be able to show correct times all over the world. That is to say, the time not accounting for daylight savings time, which only a few world timers have covered.
So it’s not accurate like I clearly stated.
Yes as I own one and I know how it works.
Hello Brendan, love the content, keep it coming. Regarding Omega Quality control, I have been waiting since Oct 2020 for my silver snoopy and I finally got the call last week.I went to pick it it up on Wednesday, and to my immense disappointment I had to reject the watch. There was a very obvious hair / fibre on the dial, clearly visible to my dodgy eyes. The store manager was very embarrassed and couldn’t apologise enough, needless to say I’m gutted. Omega have said they will get a replacement to me in weeks and the Boutique manager is giving me free of charge the steel bracelet I had ordered ( cost about £680 I think).
I don’t know how such an obvious flaw could have escaped the Omega quality checks.Alas, my wait continues.
You did great spotting it, if you had taken it home on the wrist that would be a repair not a replacement. Let me know how you get on ☘️
Always appreciate your content Brendan. I adore Omega, especially the tool watches. Family has a train history so newest purchase is the hated, disgusting, unwanted, ugly, brutish, Railmaster in steel. Oh my I love this watch. Put it on a rubber strap and am over the moon. Bought new, was sub $2200 usd in Tokyo. This rabbit hole of a hobby is a lot more fun if your entry point into the market is four years after the model is introduced. Also helps if you're blessed with the ability to travel and see how overpriced some retail outlets continue to be in lieu of the other "retail" purchase options that are available. Buy low sell high is an American mantra but its more fun in our hobby when we buy low and enjoy forever. Buy and hold is a conservative strategy, maybe not good for content creation, but certainly is for measuring long term happiness. Moonwatch and Railmaster in hand so next fuddy duddy acquisition will be a Seamaster. Love the deep blue released in 2023 but won't pull the trigger for several years...delayed gratification is a thing just like avoiding depreciation. Rolex says something about Americans that wear them, especially younger Americans - chances are their girlfriend by age 26 has had plastic surgery somewhere. May Omega live on.
I sent my vintage CM 2002 Omega and Switzerland for service. It came back with certain parts removed and not returned.
Disappointing, I received all my parts back for my 2254.50 after it was Serviced.
Hi Brandon have you been on holiday because you've not done any posts for a while? I totally agree with what you are saying will not buy new because I don't like loosing money. Omega are good watches but when you own both Rolex and omega and wear them regularly Rolex are in a different league and you don't lose nearly half the value when you buy New. great onist video thanks John.
I do like that new white speedy. You’re right. Once the hype dies down in a few years it’ll drop by 2 grand on secondary market. I would never pay RRP for an Omega as they tank in value as soon as you leave the store (certain limited editions excluded).
Speedy 57 Sandwich Dial retails downunder for AU$15,750. A local reputable grey/secondary dealer has one for AU$10,900 with probably some room for negotiation. If you ask me, thats an example of what "normal pricing" should be for an Omega. Depending on if anything gets my attention from W&W this coming week, I may consider pulling the trigger... and I am not getting my hopes up about W&W - because I feel there is a lot of crap about to be pumped into the market for insane prices (I am still trying to get over the IWC Ingeniuer pricing for what is essentially an ETA movement under the hood).
I own both Omega and Rolex. My advice for Omega is to be itself, and not be Rolex! Omega as a brand offered affordability, availability, and reliability. I guess I will just buy Omega on the grey market only. I don’t need the Boutique and AD abuse.
Affordable Not Anymore!
@@BrendanBoswell I agree. They are increasing their prices without factoring in the impact on their loyal customers. Thankfully there are big discounts on the grey market.
I thought you were describing Rolex AD
I have four omegas that i bought from my AD. Was fortunate to get all of them at least 20% discount. Omega pulled their watches from them, so I'm happy that i saved a lot of coin. I agree. I'm interested in the new white 3861 speedy and will wait at least a couple of years before i pull the trigger on one.
Wise Man! ☘️🍀
Omega likely pulled from your AD cos they were discounting!
I just bought a blue 2023 aqua terra for 3650 delighted with the watch and I am going to add a green seamaster, these are now around 3,600 which I think is a fantastic price
No it’s part of their new strategy I explained it previously
Great Price Martin ☘️
I must say the omega Aqua Terra green dial a stunning Peace
Preowned Definitely 💯 ☘️
@@BrendanBoswell Yes preowend they have a good price
Omega make fantastic watches but only a few you lust over but Rolex give me a semi nearly on all models.
I got all interested at Rolex availability... DJ....ooh.... how about OP 41? Probably not...
OP41 Zero Hope ATM, DJ 4 to 6 weeks I’m on instagram if you want one!
@@BrendanBoswell Yup. OP41 is but a pipe dream at the moment!
You really do live in your own little world, don’t you Nelly Boswell? There are those of us who buy watches without a single thought about resale value as it isn’t important to us. All this talk about Omega watches being discounted in 18 months after you buy them is complete and utter bollocks. I bought a blue SMP 300m for less than four grand in 2018. If I went to buy it even on the gray market now I would be lucky to get it for less than five grand. Tragically you seem to think that Rolex is the dogs bollocks, so why are people who can easily afford Rolex prices opting for Omega instead? Maybe they respect the brand’s heritage, the quality, the innovation, or maybe, just maybe, they haven’t been suckered into thinking Rolex are the absolute best by their marketing. Here’s a suggestion: come down to London over the summer and we’ll have a pint in a pub garden in Camden. You wear your Rolex and I’ll wear something less flashy. Then see which one of us gets mugged on our way home. I’m pretty sure it isn’t going to be me.
You started off with an insult, than a complete lie, Really not interested in reading on after that you K Jockey!
@@BrendanBoswell Awww poor little Nelly. Omega is so crap that you’ve plastered them all over your Instagram page today. Go back to school you plum. 🤦🏻♂️
I only buy Omega grey market or used. I own 5 Omega's. Love Tudor and i also only get these grey or used. Got 3 Tudor's.
I can’t seem to agree with all the negativity from this Chanel the last 3/4 Videos I watched.
As a consumer of luxury products, everyone needs to do their homework and buy intelligently. Buy what you love…
Thank you for the information
Appreciate your point of view!
Boutiques do give finance.
12 months no interest.
Not in the UK! I’m talking about Omega Owned!
A few things to go over. For a while you've made the point about Omega allowing dealers to discount brand new special editions. Why wouldn't they drop them or make strict rules to mitigate this? We seem to forget this is a brand that outsells the holy Trinity but every year folks act like they don't know how to run a business yet they make close to 3b in revenue. The Ed White is a vintage movement. It will not have the same accuracy and that shouldn't be the bar to decide if it's good or not. AP Royal oak and Nautilus don't have METAS accuracy that doesn't make them bad either. You will eat your words in a few years when all Omega are selling and holding value especially since regular buyers still can't get Rolex.
Omega’s just go down in value year after year!
I’ve already eaten enough on them!
You know I still own 5 Omega’s!
@@BrendanBoswell Yes 😂, I know you still own a few. I'm upset some days with them too. At the same time I try to forget about the things they do that look like dumb ideas to me because I can only see thru my eyes as a consumer and not as a billion dollar company. However I don't think their watches are losing any more* value than before. I think once the market as a whole adjusts in the next 2-3 years Omega will nudge out Cartier like before. Simply based on the fact that the brand will be more recognized and less available at grey dealers who (give them away there by sinking it's residual value). Most second hand dealers will tell you Omega is their top volume* selling brand even over Rolex.
Tell Rolex to fix their 32xx low amplitude problem on their movements.
Will do 😂
It's a shame because they make good watches. But no one wants this nonsense. I visited my Rolex AD recently, and they were nice to me. But then, 90% if Rolex models are no longer flip options, so the market is normalising. It could be grand damaging to Omega if they manage this badly.
They are heading for death I’m afraid!
We keep saying this as the brand keeps making billions each year and outselling the holy Trinity. I am a huge Omega fan and do prefer the lower prices from a few years ago but if they want to raise prices they can and should to be more profitable and competitive within the market. They can't stay the (buy if you can't get Rolex and only if you get 20% off new brand) forever. There is no instance where vintage Omega go up in value without the new prices going up along with supply/demand changing. Just my 2 cents.
This won't work, Omega isn't Rolex...,,. Rolex isn't even Rolex anymore, its a. Fashion brand nowadays
There are so doomed with this plan it’s laughable! Whoever Is running Omega UK needs to go!
If i had the money, I'd drop 80k on Omega tomorrow; Snoopy is not one of them.
What would you get?
Sold all my Omegas 😬 they are carrying on as if they are in massive demand but they’re not. The products are just not good enough and most of them desperately need updating especially all the divers and especially the movements. Why is everyone losing their minds over a old watch with a white dial with worse lume than the black one 🤔 you will spend £7500 on a Omega and a 12 year old kid will say to you “I’ve got the same watch as you” while you get a Swatch watch pushed in your face 🤦🏻♂️ loved Omega all my adult life but it’s been run into the ground in the last few years unfortunately 🤦🏻♂️
I’ve not worn any of my Omega’s in weeks! It’s disappointing when you see how many I have and how big a fan I was! They should have reached out and fixed my issues but they didn’t!
When the moonswatch came out everyone said bad idea. Millions of watches sold later and bigger brand identity. Everyone sees Rolex current success but nobody knows what it took them to get there and what it takes to stay there. Making a quality product is simply not enough. All the unsavory business practices and marketing strategies that lead to a better brand aren't ever good for the consumer. However, this is the name of the game when it comes to luxury items. Unfortunately and fortunately because of the moonswatch in a few years the speedy pro will be as much if a household name to non watch enthusiast as a Rolex Sub. Like it or not.
The watch manufacturers are starting to see a shift in the market.
Omega is trying to compete with Rolex and they don’t need to .
Rolex brand has been on the want this for many people because of two reasons , prior to 2018 Rolex owners were buying Rolex and Omega owners wanted omega . From 2020 to 2022 all of the sudden the flippers were using the money that was burning a hole in their pocket .
The flipping cash cow is over and now it’s back to the real collectors and watch lovers .
The problem is that watch manufactures ramped up production because of the frenzy that is over .
We will see Greymarket dealers phasing out and some even going out of business .
We will see Rolex, Omega and even AP starting to show more inventory .
We will see wait lists minimized in the next 12-18 months as well .
Omega can copy rolex but the major problem for me is the price, everybody w ant a rolex,if omega want to win more customer they dont have to copy the rolex price, the ideal for omega will be to offer more than rolex for less price, but if the cost is the same, why will i buy an opel if i can buy a mercedes for the same price...omega is opel, rolex mercedes,i dont say mercedes is better than opel, but mercedes is aspiratonal and a car for social status....for this reason evrybody want mercedes and rolex...more blingbling...so i like omega but will never buy one if they have a rolex price...just my point of view...not a critic
The entry level Rolex OP41 MSRP is £5550 Omega 300 costs £6700 Omega Is Already Way Over Priced! ☘️
@@BrendanBoswell exact...omega is too expensive...at half price of rolex omega will be a real rolex killer, but they have a complex.for rich cus, tomer more a watch is expensive and more interest she have...

@@darranwatson1840 thank for your comment, generaly omega customer insult me if i say that, but i realy like omega,i se some riche ville in gold with leather strap ar 3500$...of course only 34mm but its a nice watch for an honest price, today for a gold omega its i sane, youre right...
Oh don't you dare speak ill of the mighty Omega.
I hope you're braced and ready for the onslaught of 100,000 internet warriors, 99.5% of whom spend their time admiring the refection of their plastic, quartz, Swatch made fake Speedmaster in the window of their nearest AD before returning to parents home before their bedtime.
As they well know, Omega make watches superior in every way to Rolex, for half the price.
And they do sell them to customers, not flippers.
Oh wait, no they dont, they charge £4k extra for the Bond logo on a watch that is in the film purely because they pay for it to be in the film.
The finishing on their movements is best described as "industrial" I'd say.
And flippers don't buy them 'cause they hemorage value in a way a Porsche EV would find it hard to match.
Rolex is miles ahead of Omega in watch making. Omegas watches are comically thick and unwearable. Rolex on the other hand makes much more refined and wearable watch. Hold an Omega and a Rolex at the same time. The Rolex is just the more solid and better made watch. While Omegas are nice, they are nice at a much lower price than Rolex. I guarantee you for the same price, 99 out of 100 would pick the Rolex. Heck many people I know bought an Omega because it was cheaper than Rolex when they really wanted a Rolex all along.
I can’t deny it you are spot on ☘️
Spot on!
Spot f on!!!!!!
@@IDKline I would agree to an extent but to me even their most boring watch is better looking than any omega to me 😂 (excluding snoopy and ed white) modern omega has like 10 billion color variations and 99% are of the most ugly colors, and I don’t think having a tree trunk on the wrist is considered good looking to me
