The lyrics of this song mean so much to me. If you need a place to hang your head, a shoulder's better than a knot, you'd be a better memory alive rather than not ❤
@@SeanStaxxMusic In case you don't know the story behind this song, it was written inspired by/in tribute to Chester Bennington. It began as a demo Jolly had produced but they'd never used and Noah felt like singing one day so started trying out some melodies over the track. He's said in interviews it felt like he was channeling something greater that day, because the song basically wrote itself and became Careful What You Wish For 🥺
@@Xan1ver This is amazing to learn and makes it so much more emotional! I've been using Chester Bennington as a comparison for Noah's range for some of my friends that don't typically listen to harder rock/metal
The first song I heard by Bad Omens was the unplugged version of this song. I cried. It pulled me through a very hard time in my life and I’ll be forever grateful. The unplugged version AND the live version of this song is beautiful and I highly recommend both.
I love watching people discover song's from Bad Omens, they are for me anyway one of the best out there. Just lately with their new record TDOPOM they have become increasingly popular and they deserve it.
This song resonated with me a lot as I was struggling from PPD among other things. Glad you reacted to this one! He wrote it after Chester from LP died by suicide, so emotional!
This is my favourite Bad Omens' song, I love lyrics so much and how chorus sounds, that orchestration and strong vocals in the same time, and a lot of emotions just amazing. :)
So glad you finally reacted to this song! Easily my favorite from their second album, and the lyrics have some incredible depth to them, which I’m glad you touched on.
This song is used in the tv series Paradise City as a song by the fictional band The Flux in the show,Paradise City is a sequel to the movie American Satan which is a modern retelling of the story Faust starring Andy from the band Black Veil Brides
God even after 3 years I get goosebumps while listening to CWYWF And you’re right It sounds energetic and at the same time you can chill when you listen to this song
Great reaction, Sean! This was my favorite Bad Omens song before their new album and it remains up there among my favourite songs, it's so beautiful. The live version uloaded by Sumerian Records is incredibly good, with a beautifully sung extra soft intro. You should definitely check it out at some point.
@@Xan1ver I'm asking around to people that have already seen them this tour for the set list. I'm hoping they do a few oldies I know they are performing Mercy, Glass Houses and Never Know I'm hoping they do Exit Wounds also.
Love your reactions to BO as always. Just curious - did you manage to get tickets to a Concrete Jungle gig? Would LOVE to know what you think of their live show!
I got into Bad Omens early this year and saw them 4x already! Their Concrete Jungle tour is absolutely INSANE! 1.5 hours of pure bliss! Noah is an incredible vocalist!

The Barricade live version of this song is quite a lot more emotional and hits a little harder imo: ua-cam.com/video/7_jL4Ubz3VI/v-deo.html
