An awesome song and story because we learned so many life lessons.
In this 1986-1987 special episode/season 3 episode that was recorded in December 31, 1986-January 1, 1987 and released in January 1-2, 1987, in this covered version of this song, the saxophones and Yamaha DX7 internal patch "Bass 1" were heard.
That’s why they looked older and the three younger kids started to have the Season 4 and 5 look in this episode. In the previous season 3 episodes they looked a lot like their season 2 selves but except Ryan is maturing. The episodes are usually filmed in the summer but this one was mostly likely filmed in later than summer 1986.

I remember getting so excited when this special and this came on it was my fave show . I still watch the oldest ones. My childhood would not been good w/o this show. So much better then what on tv now. Wish they bring back reruns and do a reboot. But guess that not going happen cause of money. Thank you for posting these. I still remember when the show aired on tv -I was beyond excited to see it !!!! It was the most exciting and entertaining show to me - love the cast. I was around Renee, Kid aka Rahsaan and Stacy 's age.

I just heard her songs on you tube. Ther is no comparison with her voice to Stacys
This would actually be an almost perfect cover, and very impressive given the circumstances - but, I'm sorry, there's no replacing the 'Wang Chung' in the chorus. 'Kids Inc.' just does not cut it; it stands out like a sore thumb. I understand why they did it, but it does not work - and that's a shame, because it's really the only part of the song that doesn't.
What is going on? Who is Charlie? Who is Kids Incorporated?
