Great video and good lessons there! However, I don't trust the "trusted manufactuers" either, while their batteries probably are better that some of the cheapos, they are no match to the original. I have been using Canon batteries for my 60D camera for 7-8 years, there is absolutely no degradation in all of that time, and I used it all the way from freezing winter temps to high summer temps, and it has been working like a new for all that time. Two years ago I bought a second battery Hahnel because it was recommended, but since I probably was so used to how good canon battery was performing I was very disappointed to to find out that the Hahnel was not lasting as long form the beginning, and also after a couple of winter trips it had already lost most of its capacity, so of course I was very disappointed and had to go back to my Canon battery that I had in my backpack all that time, and yes, today I use only that while waiting for my R7 and new Canon battery, with a spare Canon battery. I had similar experience with my Canon 350D which I used for so many years and still today when I charge it to just play with the old toy the battery still feels like a new, also for that I bought once a 3rd party battery which died right after the first time I used it during a winter shoot.
