I've paid 50+€ first day of early access for a game I don't play as it has no real content.. I guess some 'hate' can be directed at Take two, however Private Division has to take most of it. They were the ones that promised us huge things but delivered none of it..
you know, given all ksp2 faults, when you add the ksp2 countdown and music to your launch, it genuinely feels so cool hearing it. It is without question my favorite part of ksp2. If I could have just the ksp2 launch sequence with the music and the countdown and the build up of ice around the tanks baked into ksp1, I think that's the perfect game.
If you could do that, add the magnet boots from KSP2, and then miraculously get the LOADING TIMES of KSP2 as well, you truly do have a perfect space game.
Stalagmites vs stalactites. The main difference is the M vs the T. The M is written by putting two stalagmites next to each other, and the T is a stalactite hanging from the ceiling.
The easy way to rememebr the difference between Stalactites and Stalagmites: Stalactites go down, and hold on TIGHT to the roof, Stalagmites go up, and MIGHT make it to the roof.
If you're wanting to do a Planet Coaster series without ruining your algorithm, you could always make a second account that you can have for everything else you want to do outside of space weekly and KSP. This is the same reason that a lot of youtubers have second accounts for videos other than what their fanbase primarily comes to watch

Regarding the color-correction: It's subtle, but the surrounding rocks do look abit washed out with it disabled. It's also refreshing to see you trying out new rocket schemes. I can imagine that attachment system rather than Apollo style for future missions like the manned mission to Mars.
On some of my recent missions, I've done something I've been calling an "extended" Apollo-style setup. basically the mothership is itself split in two parts: the part with the return capsule and engines and fuel and such as one; the other being directly attached to the capsule and having a lab, living space, and so on. and then the lander attaches to the other end of the habitation segment
im probably not the first to say this, but that ssto at 13:05 of how it looks without the mod, i remember seeing that ssto design, with the sideways mk2 tanks, in the matt lowne video of "The Best Looking SSTO I've Ever Made! - KSP" at 12:08 in that video

The way I remember stalagmite vs stalactite is you gotta hold on tite to the ceiling to keep from falling and you have to have mite to stand tall on your own.

25:45 StalagMITES "might" touch the ceiling in they grow tall enough. StalacTITES have to hold on "tight" so they don't fall. I've been using these visual mods for a while on your recommendation. I definitely need to update Parallax and take a whole lot of new screenshots :p

Hey @MattLowne, DR does the same thing as planetshine so you don't need to include it in your modlist! Learned that the hard way with some weird mod conflicts. Also you might want to turn off HDR in TUFX if you haven't already as it messes with EVE and Vol clouds.

Stalagmite - the G means that it comes from the Ground. Stalactite - the C means that it comes from the ceiling. Easy mnemonic.

Stalactites have to hold on _tight_ to the ceiling. You need to be careful of stalagmites, because you _might_ stub your toe on one.
