- YAYYY! this is my complete 2 year guitar progress!! a few of the songs in this video are simple clips that I learned in a few days just for fun, and the rest of the clips are official covers that you can find anywhere on my channel :)
I love playing guitar so much. I encourage everyone to learn it -- if I can learn guitar so can anyone! I have learned a vast amount of guitar songs, guitar techniques and music theory in the past 2 years. and yet I still have so much to learn and grow.... isn't that exciting? the only musician I ever compete with is the musician I was the month before :)
it brings me joy to see how this new passion has evolved and I am so proud of myself. the journey so far has been incredibly fun and rewarding -- and I can't wait to see what else I have in store!!!! :D
peace out, see you at 3 years ;)

THANK YOUUU 😎🎸
I think im actually addicted to this instrument,it hasnt even been a year yet holy shit
hell yeah!!! I LOVE THAT!!! So so happy for you 😎🤠🔥
This is outstanding. I've been playing guitar for more than 50 years. It made me think about what it was like when I was starting. It is so exciting to learn new skills and new tunes. You are making very rapid progress and have lots of talent. Keep going and keep having fun. Mega-congrats!
thank you so much!! 😃it really is so fun to keep progressing and learning. and 50 years of playing is so impressive! I can't wait to say the same - I hope I am still playing when I am older
That's pretty good! so much growth! congratulations!
Really good. Congrats for all the progress!
This is so freaking amazing, you are a rockstar and killin it! This progress you've made really makes me wanna go practice right now lol
Sorry for the late response 😭 but THANK YOU! Also I hope did end up practicing my friend 😎🎸
Loved it. As someone just starting out on electric guitar this video was very inspiring and motivating. Loved how you always had a big smile on your face througout the years. The pink jackson really suits your personality :)
Also pls make a video on your pedals too 😁
I have to be honest…. I saw your comments on two of my videos the day you posted them and they made me so happy, so I read them a few times a few days in a row and then got nervous to respond LOL
but thank you SOOO much. it means a lot to me my friend 🥹💛 I am excited for your journey as well!!! I expect regular updates :)
WOW you‘ll be a great guitarist in the future if you continue progressing that fast, you really inspired me to keep working hard on the guitar thank you so much
Making progress for sure, really keep working on your rhythm and the most important part is to always stay confident and never give up
thank you so much!!! :)
I also just checked out your "Recuerdos de la Alhambra After 4 Years of Practice" video. your playing is AMAZING and so beautiful
Really appreciate that, important for musicians to always encourage each other.
Thank you so much. @@aditixc
Well done! That's great progress!!
That means a lot to me. Thank you!! Have a great weekend 🤠
Really nice to see your progression! Great video. I wished I'd taken more videos earlier on to compare to! I'm also working on a guitar channel and love seeing ideas like this for inspiration. Will keep an eye out for future stuff from you! ☺🙌🏼
Thank you so much, Dave!! That means so much to me :) And yes, I highly recommend taking progress videos. I don't know if it means anything to anyone else, but it absolutely means the world to me to see my progress from the start. I recommend taking videos moving forward to showcase certain skills that you're trying to improve on :) I wish you all the luck on your journey though!! I'm sure your progress videos will be amazing 🎸
yo thats really nice progress, definitely something to be proud of. wish i would be so dedicated !
Thank you so much, Amrit!! 😇
This is hella cool, girl!!! You rock!!!!!!
THANKS GIRL 🥹❤️ I saw your shorts and YOU rock too🔥 keep it up!!!
omg, this is amazing 😭😭😭 congrats, girl
AHHHH thank you 🥹❤️ means a lot. Good luck to you too :)
Good job. Love the Pink Dinky.
Thank you so much!! 🤠 have fun on your guitar journey as well!
I’m 18 weeks. You are doing awesome!
Amazing!!!! Excited for you. Hope your journey is amazing 🤠🔥
oh 2 years!!!! That's awesome girl!! :). yes, looking forward to 3 years :)
Yay! Thank you so much!!! And thank you for all the support all this time 🤠 what’s your name?
In my head I always say your username “oldguylearnsguitar”
it at least should be “coolguylearnsguitar” :)
@@aditixc I guess the difference between 'old' and 'middle aged' is a fine line depending on how far from it you are :D about to turn 50 so i'll let others decide which bracket that falls in :O
Any plans to try a live performance thing?? My last one went well - teenage dirtbag, blitzkrieg bop and Song2... I didn't mess up too many times (a few forgotten pedal presses)... supposed to be out this week also, but feeling a lack of inspiration and not sure if the guys that usually join me are available :/ still havent been able to catch it on video though!
Anyway, I think you'd have fun, always looking so relaxed :)
Cheers, Darren
@@oldguylearnsguitar8266 Haha I love that! Definitely not old at all, youth is a mindset :) Wow I definitely would love to do a live performance sometime. I would definitely get nervous but I want to get out of my comfort zone. I love that you do live performances! I'm inspired. And yay, Darren!
@@aditixc well it did happen, but with different people... Tom on guitar/vocals (and was epic), me on "just about getting through it" guitar, All the small things, American idiot, teenage dirtbag . All done at about a billion BPM, like some frenzied thrash metal incarnation :O
Amazing, how often did you practice. Am teaching myself to, but the scheduling for practice is my biggest challenge
Hi! Your guitar playing progress is so inspiring, could you please drop a link for the Yamaha amp that you're using at the 1:25 mark, where you played Enter Sandman. Also do you have any videos where you explain your practice process and what kind of resources you used to learn techniques, new songs and theory? If not, please consider making one, would really appreciate it.
That's really good. How are you doing now with 3 years under your belt?
Musically gifted. Use it righteously.
This comment made me so happy. I read it multiple times the last week, but was too shy to respond. But I’m finally saying thank you 🥹💛 Means a lot. It’s a fun journey
@@aditixc
I agree with him. +Would you kindly make a video about your approach in learning how to play the guitar (if there's an online course that you think helped you immensely. How many hours you practiced everyday. If you already had experience playing another instrument. If you know music theory, etc,...)as I've started learning about a week ago and I can't imagine making the same progress as you. Thank you.
Love your whole outfit and room aesthetic
THANKSS 🤠❤️ I just love colors and patterns so much hahaha
Awsome
Thank you so much!! 🤠
What guitars were you using? I’m trying to find a good beginner electric. I loved your bohemian rhapsody solo, I really want to be able to do that!
Hey there, I’d recommend an LTD as they’re relatively inexpensive and they sound great paired with a good amp (mustang amp or positive grid amps sound great with mine!) also kirk hammett is known for using LTDs if i recally correctly which shows how good of a platform it is
Awesome, reminds me of my own 2 year journey. Also we have the same ⚘️strap enjoi
THANK YOU so much!!🤠 good luck on your journey as well :))
You're amazing 💕💕.I notice when you make bends you have your thumb low .Try when you make bends to put your thumb up you 'll have more strength and conttol of Bends.keep rocking young girl
Also, What resources did you use to learn?
Your progress at 6 months was advanced. How much did you practice a day?
Best thing about learning tings as an adult, you ave the money to buy the gear you want, not nescesseily better, just one that appeals to you, your guitar looks sick.
Wonderful ! How many hours per day , how many days per week did you study ?
Thank you so much 🥹❤️ In the first 6 months, I practiced a 3-5 hours a day!! And now I practice maybe just 4 hours a week just to learn a new song and maintain my skill level :) but it all depends on the song I’m learning for the month!
Wow
Thank you!! :D
❤😊
Crazyy could u pls say what helped you the Most in the begining ? Im have my Guitar since 2 days and i get frustrated because my Fingers dont Listen always
When you first start you are going to struggle. It's going to hurt, your fingers won't work the way you want them to, and you'll get frustrated. What I will tell you is you need to learn the basics first. As silly as it sounds, genuinely look up how to properly hold a guitar pick. Learn how to hold the guitar and work on your posture. Don't get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information online that you'll run into because I know when I started I was confused because everyone kept telling me different things. But in my personal opinion the most important thing to figure out is what practice routine works for you.
But since you're just beginning here's some guidelines to follow:
-Memorize the names of the guitar strings (E, A, D, G, B, E)
-Play simple songs like Black Sabbath's Iron Man riff, Smoke on the water, Seven Nation army. Those songs have power chords which are really easy to begin with
-Learn the chromatic exercise as this will build your finger dexterity
-Learn basic chords like C A G E D
Once you get the basics down you can go from there. Hope that helps. You got this
@@Relicit_ wooow thank u very much that will help me for sure u are Right about the overflow of Information ! I will Stick to what u said ! And thank Again for the encouraging words it gave me Strenght God bless you
I will Make a Update in some Months on this comment thank u again
Heyo I'm also a self thaught guitarist. What's the best advice you can share?
that was the first song i learnt on guitar
So cool! Which one?
Really good progress for 2 years. If you want to accelerate even more, try getting a teacher, even online.
0:52 😲🤩
Thank you!! 🤠🔥
Dope. About how much you played on average a day?
Hello!!! When I started, the first year, I played at least an hour a day. I would learn as much as I can at the beginning. But now I only practice a couple hours a week, if even that :’) I need to make more time again… good luck!!!! 🤠
@@aditixc thanks! I’ve just started a couple weeks ago these progress videos are inspirational 🙏
I hope your practice is going well :) and maybe tackling a simple song even!
@@aditixc Which one is it lmao?????????? 1 hour or 3-5?? You're saying two different things in the comments

Thank you so much 🥹❤ In the first 6 months, I practiced a 3-5 hours a day!! And now I practice maybe just 4 hours a week just to learn a new song and maintain my skill level :) but it all depends on the song I’m learning for the month!
wowwww! i'm 7 months in rn and i can barely do enter sandman 🤣
That’s a really fun song to play!! I recommend it for the future :) and no worries, we all be on our own journeys 🔥❤️
It's interesting to see how wrong guitar positioning also affect your play while standing. You should correct it, it's not too late!
Omg thank you LOL, yeah I rarely practice while standing up…. Definitely need to work on this 😭😂 I’ll keep this in mind :) TY!
She makes the most normal faces one can make while playing guitar, if you were to see mine I would probably scare everyone
That’s so funny. Im usually really focused on not messing up 😂
👀👀👀
Thank you!!! 👀👀👀👀👀

THANK YOU FRIEND
twins - girl with mike and you...... :)
Thank you so much!! They are actually both me haha 😎 also I watched your "Beete Lamhe ll The Train ll Guitar Cover". It was amazing! I love your voice and facial expressions. Keep it up!!
It seems plainly obvious that you have talent. I tried for 6 years and never made any progress
Thank you so much, Mark 🥹 This means a lot to me. I read this a few times days ago and even showed it to my parents too haha. Thank you 😇
@@aditixc I’m glad my comment made you happy. If only I had made any progress when I tried the guitar, then I wouldn’t have to be envious of you
@@markantonelli53 I still believe in you, Mark... it's never too late 😃🎶 regardless though I'm sure there is some hobby out there that you'll click with immediately :)
@@aditixc as far as the guitar is concerned, I don’t have time in my life for something that has brought me nothing but frustration and failure. I actually do have a hobby that brings me joy, which is what a hobby is supposed to do.
It's true that she has talent. But I got a feeling you most likely have a problem with learning itself. Not guitar. If you approach learning the right way, you can make progress.
can you tattoo your signature on my forehead so I become a masterpiece?
😂 Absolutely
you still need alot of work but you can do it!!!!
Not going to lie as a guitar player this looks hella inaccurate did you film this when you actual started or did you film this slowly as in like what it was like when you were a beginner? Cuz that progression from day one was sus
I can post a UA-cam short for you to see from my private Instagram 3 years ago with a time stamp and caption, if you really want? Lol. I also have a time stamp in my photos folder too. But yes that video is 1000% accurate :) I had to double check myself…. 8 days
Playing guitar helped take my mind off of other things I was going through at the time so I played a few hours a day. But it’s genuinely funny and interesting for me to see that the cowboy chords are what people are having the hardest time believing 😂 I’m glad people are mentioning/disbelieving it though because it makes me proud of that one week progress then. I didn’t know that learning chords that fast was a big deal till I started getting a few comments like these. I appreciate this comment in its own way ❤️
Have you played other stringed instruments in the past cuz that would probably make a little more sense or you just absolute put days of dedication into it from the beginning if that's so then that will be believable
I played clarinet for 10 years when I was 9-19 years old haha!! (Like squidward) But not a string instrument
Ok well great great progress you have made
By Year 3 be in hall of fame
9out10 can’t even play a chord properly in 6 months
I just don’t buy it with these UA-cam zero to good in a few months guitarist popping up
Your disbelief is unintentionally a huge compliment LOL so thank you :) I practiced a lot in my first year and still lots of progress to go!
This is not real no one can progress in guitar like that in two years
How you know?
Haha thank you for the compliment. It wasn’t so great for 2 years but appreciate the disbelief
And never say never my friend, that’s how you don’t try and progress.
I can assure u that if u put enough effort in it, u'll be able to play like that, it takes a lot of time and dedication tho.
Yeah you can I’ve been playing for a year and a half and can play a few solos
I have been playing inconsistant for half the time for 1 and a half years and this is within close reach
Ibanez Les Paul??? Either Chibanez or super rare lawsuit ibanez
SHE NEEDS A BOYFRIEND
LOL! This was the funniest comment because it’s true 😂 I have nothing else to do but post youtube videos, make music and play guitar. And thank you for the laugh.
@aditixc woman your in Austin there's plenty of damn hippie boys that will fall for your cali swagg
@@aditixchow do you self taught? I’m playing guitar for one year but I’m not going really well, can you give me any tips? It would be very helpful if you do comment on this thank you 🙏
I doubt your chord transitions were that decent at week 1. Hate videos that are just straight bs
Thank you for the compliment!! I love comments of disbelief like this 😂
Yes, this really was me in the first week. I was practicing several hours a day haha. I’m sorry if you weren’t able to do that in your own journey, but it’s not impossible LMAO
@@aditixc Not possible. I have piano experience and your chord changes wont be that fast in a week time. I practice guitar 3-8 hours day, 5+ starting but whatever you say lmao
Yeah as a guitar player I was kind of realizing that this seems hella inaccurate
