Being a lover of Elvis, I cannot stand watching actors try to portray him, because no one compares. But, Austin does something different here, it’s obvious how his entire heart and soul was in this. He truly did The King justice. I’m blown away.

Couldn't agree more about Austin, but the movie definitely didn't do Elvis justice. They left too much out & added too much bs that never even happened/ is not even close to how it happened. They grabbed unimportant moments or made-up moments instead of working with the outstanding ones, like how sickly generous Elvis was, the reason why the colonel took 50% to himself was because Elvis' donations were making All of them bankrupt. Elvis, being born extremely poor, couldnt stand knowing there are poor people. He even bought a cadillac for an 80 year-old lady who was randomly window-shopping whilst he was checking out the newest model to add to his collection. Or his love for children, him signing the papers for 90% of his income from the Aloha from Hawaii concert going to children's hospitals and cancer centers. They never even mentioned that being the first ever via satellite concert in the world that was said to be impossible to make at first but Elvis kept pushing. Cilla wasn't closely as good to him as portrayed in the movie either. And so on and so forth. The movie could forever be argued but we will just accept it as it is. All in all, its great but I wish it'd have capture reality more.

The Unchained Melody cover he sang as an audition was actually after a nightmare (the nightmare he talks about) where his mother is dying again, that grief he used to sing for his mother and also later on he found out that his mother and Elvis's mother, they both died when both Elvis and Austin were 23 years old... That was the first thing that connected him with Elvis when he went to Graceland, according an interview between Austin and Jimmy Fallon... Greetings!

Very very bad selection for the part- I could not even watch the movie to the end - tit was so BAD!!!!!!

Funny, I just said that on here somewhere else, he reminds me of the rising star early days of Brad Pitt. He did a brilliant job as Elvis, I was absolutely transfixed and glued to the screen. If he’s that good now, he’ll be an Oscar winner somewhere in his career

I've watched many interviews with Austin Buttler over the last couple days sence watching the Elvis movie and I just love this young man's authenticity and humble spirit, what a breath of fresh air he is. I was skeptical when the previews first came out but what a great movie and great acting. Loved everything about it
Very handsome and charming like Elvis was. I could have watched another 3 hours! Austin is amazing! His mother would be very proud. I feel very sorry for him to have lost his mother so young.
@@janzumbrunnen2427 she was such a support system for him. She home schooled him so he could take acting jobs and acting classes. Then drove him to LA for the jobs. He really misses her.

Ive never seen another movie about a famous person that is so perfect. I am in shock i think. I am so glad we saw this. I saw Elvis at the International in 1971 and it was so exciting. Austin captured Elvis completely!!

austin's voice is mesmerizing.....as is his performance as Elvis.

The Pink trousers and Jacket with the Black trim is just so gorgeous. Austin Butler is one lucky lad and a very talented actor.

I noticed in interview on yt, Austin has the high cheekbones elvis had when he smiled. This helps Austin look like elvis in makeup. Also elvis was the first recording star to use eye makeup on stage. He felt it was necessary. So they used it on Austin. Elvis had blue eyes as well.. Later they used prosthetics on Austin's face to fill him out after 1970 rather having him gain weight. What Baz did was so effective but Austins personality and acting ability was phenomenal. He watched all the films and he did what elvis did in concert. Thats why Priscilla could not tell at times whether she was seeing elvis or Austin performing because they included actual elvis video a lot.

My daughter, who is 15 and I watched this movie yesterday. What Austin had done in this movie, what a performance, oh dear. A fantastic movie, and a true and great honor to Elvis.
Austin Butler, WOW, and a role of a lifetime...there were moments during film when I thought, wait, is that Elvis or Austin especially singing..killer performanc!!! This young man is the real deal, a talent so brilliant, & presents himself as a humble, kind gentleman..keep your character intact. No comparison to Brad Pitt..Brad is Brad..Austin is special...he deserves the OSCAR, a GOLDEN GLOBE, etc. HE'S BRILLIANT!!💖🌠

His idea for this was so brilliant and creative and emotional. It just shows how much of a deep, intimate soul he is, and that and his incredible work ethic are what got him this role and every other role he has forever!

Mr. Butler, I'd like to see that audition tape, please. I bet the feelings run deep and real, because often we are vulnerable and unvarnished when we first wake up, so that lends to a deep and honest portrayal of a real, honey-voiced role; I bet that singing is luxuriously beautiful!

Briliant movie, brilliant acting and the most beautifully done explanation of Elvis's life. Loved it, cried with it and was overwhelmed by my emotion of it. Truly one of the best movies I have seen of Elvis's life and what he had to put up with. Well done to all who contributed to this movie. Austin and Tom Hanks did an amazing job playing their roles.

In the beginning it was Elvis. Elvis is the first world rock star with him the youth musical target was born. He taught everyone to communicate with the body as well during concerts. Then for 8 years he only made films and no concerts. Elvis influenced youth music and none like him. Then his voice a prodigy of nature, an enchanting unrepeatable miracle. Finally John Lennon also said "Without Elvis there would have been no Beatles"
He never really wanted to do those movies, Parker is the one that pushed for those to be made. Elvis was trapped. His true love was Gospel music.
Actually, if it had not been for pioneering Black rhythm and blues artists, there would have been no Elvis.
