Hello, the fuel pump is in side that tank it out side just follow the fuel line and you will see it. Normally it makes a ticking sound once you turn the ignition.
On my 950 Vstar, I see some rust in the fuel fill cap and in the tank. Forgot to take care of that when bike was in storage for over 2 years. Any tips how to go about cleaning that. Do I have to remove the tank or is there another way.
Best way is to remove the tank and clean it with the CLR, also there is another way by using the electrical current, or take it to a shop and they will do it for you.

Hello at 2:20 you can see the underside of the tank. Where the circular metal piece is, can the fuel pump be found on the other side within the tank?

I have a 2015 V-Start 950 Tourer. Do you need to get all the fuel out of the tank. If so how and what tools did you use?
You can but it is not nesesary, I took as much fuel out as possible with the old hose, so the tank was light and easy to manuver.
