- Hey Guys!
If you noticed from my last video, I order some parts from DieselOrings. They specialize in all things 7.3L and 6.0L Ford Powerstroke. Today, we are going to swap out the old valve cover harness for new super duty style UVCH on my OBS 7.3 Powerstroke.

Great upgrade thank you for the wiring diagram
Which link?
Thanks brah. This is actually cheaper to replace than to replace it with the original.
I ordered these and noticed they don’t come with the oval seal on the injector connector and the seals on my originals didn’t quite fit. Did you install new seals on yours? I’d imagine some problems without keeping oil sealed out of the connector. I know it’s been a while since you did this but if you can remember I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
928 OBS thanks for quick reply. We appreciate all your work. Can’t wait for your axle swap to be completed.
Thanks man great videos I’m about to do this and new glow plugs in my 97 soon as I get some nice weather.
Just finished thanks a ton for the diagrams it helped so much
That’s a ground wire
That’ll make things better ✌🏻
Thankfully I kept that wire depinner that came with my toolkit when I was still in service, I think I should be able to de-pin the wires and connect straight to the new plug.
I would go with the bigger wires and pins so you don't build up to much resistance and end up shorting the wires out again.
Bro that is an awesome upgrade !!
@@blowingdiesel definitely !! Our headlights stopped working in ours... Then we pulled some fuses and put them back in and they worked again... Why's that ?
@@blowingdiesel that's what I figured... I just can't put my finger on what it is. Well they work now 😂
@@thatpowerstrokebloke You might have a loose fitting pin in the fuse block. It could also be a bad fuse block with loose pins in the stack. Lots of fuse panels or fuse blocks are made up of different layers of circuit boards that fit together with male and female pins. sometimes there is two or three of the circuit boards that make up a fuse block. The other thing might be a wire coming out of the fuse block that has a loose connection or the wire could be braking and causing an intermittent problem. If you take the fuse block out look for wires or pin connections that look like they have gotten hot, they will be a little brown and hard or partially melted. Good luck fixing the problem permanently because it will suck if it goes out when you are miles from home in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks for the Video, wish I could post a pic but I did this and its so nice to have one connector!
Is the driver side diagram right because the colors don’t match up?
Gonna do this on my 97 OBS too, didn't even know this was an option! But if I'm gonna do glow plugs etc. anyways, may as well really do it!
Awesome content! Really glad you are sharing your knowledge of these trucks. Just started watching and am going to start upgrading my OBS starting with this. What year SD valve cover gaskets and harnesses do I buy?
Any 1999-2003 should work I got mine at dieselorings.com you can actually get everything there.
@@blowingdiesel I actually just ordered them. But I purchased the caterpillar gaskets due to the fact the OEM gaskets are on national backorder. Which ones did you purchase?
Thank god for shrink tubing.
That makes sense now! I was so confused in the other video why there was only one plug and my obs has two. Hahaha
I tried looking on the website and I couldn’t see one that has just one connection on the gasket
Did anybody find out what that random strand of metal wire was in your harness? I just did new clips today and seen that in mine too.
928 OBS I think it’s to add strength to the bundle, some wires have them inside with their bundles for that purpose.
Will the stock valve covers fit with this upgrade
I did my glow plugs and gpr and when I started it up it just don’t sounds happy and don’t wanna get any power could this be the problem?
928 OBS no I haven’t yet I’ve just been using the old one but I just did the glow plugs once I started it up it just does not sound happy and also a loss of power won’t go past 30mph
Where do you these digrams from? I have searched forever nothing! 95 f250 I can't find anything!
I have a maxi fuse blowing Everytime I turn the key, no start. We are talking original engine setup. No motivation of any kind of kind. I need to get this beast running before I can think of any modifications.

@@blowingdiesel which link?
@@blowingdiesel #13
@@blowingdiesel links worked thank you.
If the glow plug wires melt together will that cause the inejectors to miss fire
