I really appreciated that Herbert gave a comparison review of the chicken. It seems that anymore the actual food is only used as a delivery method for sauces. Maybe it's just me, but I've always thought that sauce should accent the food, not be the whole point. Again, just my take on food.
I remember being really disappointed the first time I had RC. I liked it more the second time after buying extra sauce. I think it’s great for picky eaters that like plain food. They should come up with a spicy version and more sauces since all they do is chicken strips. Popeyes is always a hit or miss for me. Sometimes their spicy chicken sandwich is good and sometimes I wish I’d just made a sandwich at home instead lol 😂
So funny how y’all put out a video at this time because I just heard Todd on the radio here in TX! He was helping an organization raise money for children to go to Disney world, and all the Raising Cane’s in DFW were participating. He had such a cool start up story, professor of LSU shot his project down, but he built the first Raising Cane’s outside of LSU 😂
Ok so some Canes ordering advice to make the meal 10x better. Order the same combo but instead of the coleslaw ask for double toast. Then proceed to ask to have both sides of the toast, toasted. If you like tea the sweet tea is really good for your drink option! The next thing you’ll need is Cajun sparkle seasoning from Popeyes chicken. Use their seasoning on the canes chicken with the canes sauce and it will change your life.
Lol!! Herbert practicing those dad jokes!! 🥴 lol! So I’m from Canada and there are a lot of chain restaurants that you guys have that we don’t and RC is one of them. I guess I’m not missing much! 👍
I feel like Canes was so good when it first opened in my area. They had bigger chicken tenders and cheaper prices. That was a few years ago. Since then, it gained a huge popularity and prices skyrocketed (inflation from the economy) and the portions have gone down. So now, I can't justify spending that much on such little food. 😢
You might have caught Popeyes on a bad day. I love their tenders - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and their spicy chicken has just the right kick for me. And their sweet tea is real good too! Thanks for sharing your experience!
I haven’t had the chance to try it yet (I live in NY and they are supposed to be opening a location in Penn Station soon…) but if the sauce is the best part it’s interesting that they sell it! This was posted on Twitter by the official Raising Cane’s account… “In case anyone forgot… You can order a 32 oz cup of Cane’s Sauce.” 🤯
once you try korean chicken, nothing will ever top it haha. I loved canes back in 2017, but now I only crave bb.q Chicken, Pelicana, and Bonchon, and Bunker21! Check out those chicken spots! :)
I think Raising Canes is just “special” because it is so nostalgic for those of us who grew up on it and/or went to LSU. I still have to visit anytime I go home! 😂
There's a new place in my city called Slim chickens and it's just chicken tenders and omg it's INCREDIBLE they do Texas toast which a totally new thing here and I'm obsessed!!!
I agree with your opinion on raising canes it was all hype no follow through lol I was curious what your thought on the tea is though! Cause I actually love it!
I'm not sure if it's because YB is/was around Keith a lot, but I notice she does the same motion when trying something - she takes a bite and then swings her hand out while deciding how she feels about the food around 5:57, followed by the fry xD Kind of like Keith when he eats the menus. Maybe it's just me 🤷🏾♀️ I liked this video. There were differences between YB and Herbert's opinion. I have never heard of Raising Cane's (don't think there's one in Canada?) so good to know if I ever come across it!
It would have been funnier if they went to a third chicken place (not saying it wasn't already funny). lol. I'm sad YB wasn't able to find a satisfying chicken strip joint. I first tried Raising Canes in Las Vegas, it was delicious. When they started opening locations in Southern California I have been to several and their chicken and sauce isn't as good as it once was. I also don't care for Popeye's chicken fingers. Dave's hot chicken isn't hot enough for me. My favorite chicken places (not specifically chicken fingers, but wings) would have to be the Korean fried chicken places in my area (SGV). I really enjoyed this video and hope to see more soon! Also greatly enjoyed seeing your fur babies!
The one time I had a chance to try it, the restaurant was closed for New Year's. Even though it started in Louisiana, they still haven't brought one over to Alabama.
I remember the hype for RC. Went to try it and did not understand the hype. The chicken didn't have that much flavor/seasoning. The sauce helped with adding something extra, but that was it.
We call that bread... Finger rolls. In Minnesota anyway. They generally make an appearance around the holidays. Great for sopping up gravy. We've had Raising Cane's a couple times out on the road... it's fine. Popeye's is far better IMO. BUT the best chicken fingers out there are from Zaxby's. Google claims that there's one in California...Google also won't tell me where it's at. Road trip to the southeast!
Just curious. When I first started watching your videos you two always had a well mannered dog with in the videos. I was just wondering if you still have him and is he doing well as I am a dog lover
I also think that Cane’s in LA area isn’t as good. I thought it was much better when it first opened but when I have gone more recently, I was say that they leave it sitting for too long and it doesn’t taste as fresh. The Cane’s I had in Arizona was so much better. Fresh and hot! But I also love the sauce more than anything else at Canes so 🤷🏽♀️
I've had tenders from both places, I prefer Popeyes for both flavor and crunch. RC is fine, no more, no less. I wouldn't turn RC down if someone else bought it but I don't feel the need to get it again myself.
I like raising canes but I agree it is plain. The one I go to always gives us smaller pieces of chicken so you’re left still hungry but if you’re in a hurry and that’s the only thing around then that’s where I would go. Popeyes though I would definitely choose over raising canes.
There are many of these in Cincinnati where I live. I call it the Picky Eater Restaurant since it's just chicken fingers. lol . I think they are alright. They were rather plain to me but I still eat them. It's funny cause this place is usually right next to a Chick Fillet place where I live.
I think Popeyes bone in chicken is way better than their chicken tenders! That's what they're more known for in my opinion. They spicy chicken drumsticks and thighs are my go-to 😍
RC is a 5/10. The sauce is what saves it from falling below a 5. I can do without the bread. I love bread, but I feel cheated with the grilled hotdog bun. That's just me. Popeyes does rank higher for me, 6.5 out of 10.
I wasn't impressed by raising Cane's either. If you ever get a Huey Magoo's, you should try it out. Some of the best fast food chicken tenders I've had!
Omg RC has always given me that fast/junk food bloated tummy ache sort of feeling right away after eating, so it could have been the same for Herbert! I’ve read that their recipes have a lot more fat/oil/sodium than most fast food or chicken places so perhaps it’s because of this 😭😅
Funny I’ve tried both cane’s and Dave’s hot chicken and I think it’s Dave’s that is overly hyped. I thought the chicken was dry. Canes on the other hand I get fairly frequently but there is a bunch in my area so maybe that why. I’m in Arizona so maybe there is a difference.
Just don’t like chicken fingers but love Popeyes esp the spicy fried chicken which is noticeably hot! We don’t have a Raising Canes here 😢 so can’t compare!
i like popeyes but their tendies has too much breading and too little meat. I've never had raising canes but i also heard its kinda mid. I've yet to try dave's hot chicken but I will try it next time around.
Herbert always coming in clutch with the goofy comments and dad jokes 🤣🤣
🤣🤣
I can't imagine y'all doing a Fogo De Chao video, as that'd be amazing & will probably leave all of us watching super hungry
Putting that on our list 😍😍
I really appreciated that Herbert gave a comparison review of the chicken. It seems that anymore the actual food is only used as a delivery method for sauces. Maybe it's just me, but I've always thought that sauce should accent the food, not be the whole point. Again, just my take on food.
I agree!!
“Full is always relative”. Herbert dropping some wisdom right there.
true true

Sometimes their spicy chicken sandwich is good and sometimes I wish I’d just made a sandwich at home instead lol 😂
Yes 😂😂 I think hot chicken just has so much more flavor! But definitely good for people who don’t like spices
LMAO! That's perfection description for Raising Cane's customers (picky eaters who like plain food)
So funny how y’all put out a video at this time because I just heard Todd on the radio here in TX! He was helping an organization raise money for children to go to Disney world, and all the Raising Cane’s in DFW were participating. 4:06 herbert trying to say my love and my dear and it came out funny haha
😂😂
the history lesson at the beginning :') keith would be so proud!

So happy you guys did this type of food review
Love fast food 😁

I loved that you agreed to go to another place and double your lunch just like that lmao
🤣🤣 wasn't satisfying enough
Hello YB, I always feel intrigued by your amazing videos, the food looks so flavourful. 😊
hello 💕 thank you!
Herbert at 6:19 ¨, it must be a middle finger made me laugh. haha, love that humor.
🤣🤣

😭😭 that happens with so many restaurants! so sad
the chicken fingers are basic at best, but the sauce and toast are amazing!!!
Yes on the toast!
The toast was very good!! Burger vibes 😁
we love an honest queen
Raising Canes has been around for a bit-- glad you got to finally try it!
me too!! I wish I liked it more🤣
You might have caught Popeyes on a bad day. I love their tenders - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and their spicy chicken has just the right kick for me. And their sweet tea is real good too! Thanks for sharing your experience!
I think I did too!! I tried it before and it was better
Love Raising Canes! The first one in Las Vegas that I remember opening was near my college, UNLV, at about 2006? and it’s been a hit ever since.
I love raising canes!!! 🤤
I’ll try again! 🤣
I love raising cane's. Love their Texas toast! Popeyes is great, you have to do hot chicken, sweet heat sauce, cajun fries and rice & beans
maybe I just got a bad batch! haha
herbert's dad joke 😂
its almost 2 am and now im craving fried chicken lol
😂😂 chicken for lunch!
Thanks, YB, for your honest review!

“In case anyone forgot… You can order a 32 oz cup of Cane’s Sauce.” 🤯
😂😂 they really want to sell the sauce!
i was wondering why this topic seemed a little familiar, but then i remembered that keith did a combined popeyes/raising cane’s eat the menu😂😂
YB going hard!
😂😂
When Herbert actually teared up for the ketchup 😂😂😂
😂😂
once you try korean chicken, nothing will ever top it haha. I loved canes back in 2017, but now I only crave bb.q Chicken, Pelicana, and Bonchon, and Bunker21! Check out those chicken spots! :)
I LOOOVE korean chicken! I will!! :)
@@YBChangOfficial YAY! 😍

Omg!! I wanna try Texas toast
Raising Cane's is so good ❤😊!
I have to try it again!
@YBChangOfficial yes makes sure you put the spices on it!
I agree with your opinion on raising canes it was all hype no follow through lol I was curious what your thought on the tea is though! Cause I actually love it!
I haven't tried the tea!! I'll try that next time :)
Herbert's taste vs yours gives such variety
I’m so used to spicy 😂
I love Cane's !
I’ll give it another try!!
Did you try the cole slaw? How were the fries? We don’t have Raising Cane here. Popeyes and Chick Fil A are the options.
they were both okay, not bad but not amazing either. haha
I has Raising Canes for the first time in Arizona when I was dropping my daughter off at college. I feel the same as YB … it was meh.
😭😭
Absolute top 3 favorite restaurants 😅
haha really🤣 I'll give it another try!!

@@YBChangOfficial You two will be a wonderful food connoisseur team! 🙃
I would love to hear you compare the Raising Canes sauce with the Chick-fil-A sauce.
It's pretty close in taste. I think the Cane's sauce is a bit more tasty as it's made fresh everyday instead of in a factory.
It would have been funnier if they went to a third chicken place (not saying it wasn't already funny). lol. I'm sad YB wasn't able to find a satisfying chicken strip joint. Dave’s hot chicken wasn’t hot enough?? 😮😮 even the spiciest level?
I am downloading a movie and chorme recommended it 😂❤
I love Raising Canes 🤤🤤🤤. Never tried Popeyes though
try Popeyes and compare!!
Got RC for the first time in months 😅 came here to re-watch (yeah, I know there are other reviews)
The one time I had a chance to try it, the restaurant was closed for New Year's. Even though it started in Louisiana, they still haven't brought one over to Alabama.
Really!! I’d think they will be everywhere 😮

🤣🤣 fast food time!
I remember the hype for RC. Went to try it and did not understand the hype. The chicken didn't have that much flavor/seasoning. The sauce helped with adding something extra, but that was it.

he is still with us!! he'll be in at-home food videos :)
I've never had either Popeyes or raising canes....I did just have some amazing squash curry from a delicious Thai place last night though!
I love Thai curry 😍😍

definitely more crunch in Popeyes!
Lol they honest review does that mean there’s been dishonest reviews??

The diary in the sauce and probably covered in buttermilk before frying
omg!!!

ooo will do!!

I liked their sandwich combo. Im a chicken sandwich person instead of just eating fried chicken.
ooo I'm more of a chicken alone person!!
I think Popeyes bone in chicken is way better than their chicken tenders! That's what they're more known for in my opinion. They spicy chicken drumsticks and thighs are my go-to 😍

I’m at canes right now 😂
😂😂 hope you enjoyed your meal!!
RC is a 5/10. The sauce is what saves it from falling below a 5. I can do without the bread. I love bread, but I feel cheated with the grilled hotdog bun. That's just me. Popeyes does rank higher for me, 6.5 out of 10.

🤣🤣 my expectations were too high
Why are y'all saying it's expensive? It's a combo for the same price as Chipotle, at least where we are

I agree with YB. Not a huge fan of Raising Cane’s. It is just ok.

raising cane's is good but hella expensive for what you get

our Popeyes spicy chicken isn't that spicy! :( I wish it was spicier
I have not liked Raising Cane's the few times I've been there. I think their chicken tastes weird. I'm convinced it's actually alligator meat.
omg 🤣
i like popeyes but their tendies has too much breading and too little meat. I've never had raising canes but i also heard its kinda mid. I've yet to try dave's hot chicken but I will try it next time around.
I think Dave’s is the best out of all 3!
popeyes all the way. canes is so boring.. but you have to either get a sandwich or chicken on the bone
Chicken on the bone is always better I feel like!
Thank you for this! Raising Canes is so overrated. I do not get it. I’ve been 3 times and am bored just thinking about it
I feel like that too! but some people really like it LOL

🎉
The only chicken that’s the best is Korean fried chicken
yes!!
when is it not a finger but a strip!?
I agree the sauce is overrated, taste more like ketchup, and mayo with seasoning. Don’t like ketchup with my chicken.
The sauce did not live up to the hype to me. It’s basically salad dressing.
I thought so too haha
I need love
I'm so sad you didn't love it. Raising Cane's is my favorite fast food. I think it definitely beats Popeyes.
aww maybe I'll give it another try!!
I agree, nothing special about RC.
right!😭
You should compare raising cane's to chick fil a
I don't understand the hype with Raising Cane's, it's just whatever.

Raising Canes 👎🏻
👀👀
Overrated and EXPENSIVE! Definitely not worth it!
I leaned towards that way too!!
