- BABYMETAL supported the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour in the UK. I was lucky enough to get tickets to one of the shows! This show was 10th December 2016 at the Genting Arena, Birmingham.
I didn't want the Amuse copyright police after me so I dubbed over the real music :( Oh well.

See the difference between moa and the others when they were greeting the audiences at the end of the show..that girl is soo energetic...she has her own charm
my first music concert. loved it. thanks for your great review. Wasn't sure what to expect so got seated and arrived about an hour before show start but next time they come I am doing it early like you did. I saw Saturday but went back Sunday early (ish) about 10am onwards to meet the fans. wanted so much to be seeing it again Sunday night but had to get back to Cardiff on train (and no ticket for show). So happy with my 3 t-shirt and CD. wish I'd got the beanie now 😁👍
You did a great job!! I can't believe how close you were to the stage!! I'm surprised that they let you film part of the concert!! Amazing! Keep doing your videos, they're great!

I know how that feels, I was at the filmore in detroit a few months back and moa and yui looked at me, but I don't think su did. now I know that our paths crossed once upon a time. Hearing you describe how you interacted with moa sent shivers down my spine

So cool! I regret not going to one of the shows now because I wasn't sure of the setlist time and merch and such when it was announced, but now I know that it is ALWAYS a good idea to go. And those stickers and the ornament are absolutely adorable!

Yes I do love Yui but that side was filling up fast and had to make a quick decision! Yes I will be! Long way to go yet though... haha. After this show though, I may have a new favourite....

I met Papimetal at 02 a week ago. Awesome! I also received a key chain and a badge. Love the sense of community with the Kitsunes. Great video!

I remember my first live show, it was Nightwish. I nearly cried my eyes out when Marco (the bass player) looked and pointed directly at me. I can only imagine that if Moa did that I would be dead. Like, dead dead, just gone from this world. But I'd be happy for all eternity though!
Yep, still dead XD. It's such a weird feeling but it's one of the best when they spot you :)
I've seen other videos and the crowd seems to me a bit quiet ... Anyway, very good vlog, I hope to see them also in Latin America someday, It's not hard to dream :'(
I must admit it was a quiet crowd a few people were even checking their phones whilst they were performing O.o but there were loads of people at the front and in seating for example us) who were rocking out on behalf of the boring ones ;) xxx

My first thoughts as you approached the barrier was, "Why is the stage so small for that size venue?" I realized how silly I was when Su introduced the upcoming Chili Peppers. Still waiting for the opportunity to see the girls live. So glad everyone had an awesome experience. How can one not at a Babymetal concert? Arigato!

Well done on getting the barrier, looks like most of the early arrivals were Babymetal fans, would that be correct? Not sure how close I'll get on Sunday, it's a long way to the front with my dodgy knees, I'll have to see how it goes! Looking forward to seeing if I'm able to get some of the stuff the Japanese fans are giving away...

The US shows at The House of Blues in Chicago and Boston were even closer, less than 5 feet away from the stage.

Hey Callie, great vlog. I bet the girls know who you are by now & to Moa it might have been a case of seeing a familiar face.
It's a shame that Moa couldn't drop you a backstage pass or Koba come out from side stage (or through security) & give same to you & your friends for being regulars. That sometimes happens with bands when they see regulars who have travelled. Especially when the band are far from home.

Sid Raina oh believe me we gave it a good go. seemed quite a good response to me, even the obvious RHCP fans were going for it best they could (think they were pleasantly surprised). too many people arriving late may have been a problem, weather wasn't it's best so they probably didn't fancy queueing. dunno.

haha - I stopped watching at about the 8:45 mark, when you were talking about the stickers.... so yeah, I missed the part at 9:00 where you mention seeing the Chili Peppers. Glad you stayed - they're an awesome band... been having a lot of fun with the GM girls along the way, including Chad singing Happy Birthday to Su Metal yesterday at the o2 show

Never. Only did a couple of signing sessions in the very early days when they appeared at Anime Expos in Singapore & Indonesia I think... Callie's interactions with Moa that she mentioned is about as close as you will get.
It hurts the little interest of being with the fans or to value it
I am sure the girls value their fanbase. Simply they steer away from being idol acts and more to metal band.
It's unusual for a lot of acts to have photo sessions with fans. Those that do, report of mixed views of such arranged meetings - both from the fans who pay big $ for the privilege & the musicians who think it's a waste of time as there's nothing spontaneous about the meeting & it can be awkward. I know KISS do it and a number do provide that sort of meeting but it all comes with a price. This is all not considering the security aspects required for such meetings. And with Babymetal you would have to ensure no creeps got through.
In a previous job at an International Airport, I met many bands coming through the airport & they are usually kind enough if approached politely to talk briefly with fans & maybe sign an autograph or do a pic. But when there's time constraints they can be too busy to engage properly & I've seen the look on disappointed fans quite a few times. Because of my job I was able to be cheeky and talk to a few 'stars' and it's been quite a privilege. Those that I met have been very nice people. But I never sought autographs, and in those days, one simply did not carry a camera with them.

BABYMETAL love their fans! They always speak of how appreciative they are. Remember that Koba is the one who makes all of the decisions and not the girls. He has talked about maybe organizing handshake events in the future, but he doesnt like them. Especially after what happened to Ricchan and Anna from AKB48. Personally, I dont think they should - they are so small and Yui is so shy, I think they would feel really intimidated having to stand there all day meeting thousands of fans and each time worrying that the next one might be a psycho with a knife.
