I think a lot of people are using the Axial Conduit pants wrong and then just saying that Chain Lightening is bad because of it. Once you get Axial Conduit you CANNOT just spam Chain Lightening anymore. Only cast what your mana can handle. If you spam to many and they come back to you and drain mana and you hit zero mana, even for an instant, they all just vanish and do no explosion damage. This is why people think it feels bad. Only cast a couple, like 1-3, and let them work. This is all you will need for most situations pre-endgame and as you solve for mana later on you can cast more, like 4-6.
Yeah, recharging aspect is definitely the answer, but only with a high roll. Possibly a mid roll with a lot of regen. I like throwing moonrise and/or adaptability on for leveling until I can get the mana issue sorted out.
*Hydra is probably the best leveling build in the game, you can play it one handed* Between the (+2 hydra heads temper) and the other tempers that drastically increase DOT fire damage, the +1 hydra spawn enchantment, and all the new aspects added that do AOE explosions and modify fire damage, you can clear any content in the base game including all pre-Durial bosses, NMs and Hordes. By the time you get to 100 you will have found all the gear needed to go bouncing fireballs with is legit nuts
@@DolphinWantsPeace i honestly just grabbed skills that increased conjuration and pyromancy, that and skills that increased your movement speed. Then for paragon i followed a firewall tree. Firewall and Hydra is very similar at least till you get to 100. then for tempering i just went with +fire damage, or +pyromancy crit damage (i think). It was alot of fun.
I must be missing something, I see all the bad comments. At lvl 25-30 I breezed through lvl 45 content. Was not sure I could boss was quick, not fast but quick
If you really want damage the new unique pants has to be used with chain lighting, it only makes sense, the damage output is incredible you just need more mana
if you get the healing x health grants mana u will never need anything else just go into warmth with the fire bolt enchant and you will have literally infinite mana and hp as long as your close enough

i used your built and now I’m lv50, but to be honest it wasn’t that strong and not that fun to play in my last 3-4 hours. Always mana issue and no UNBROKEN TETHER aspect = useless I reckon
Dude you really need to refine this build a little better .It's all over place.You got fireball enchantment but not using any passive to amplify the synergy.Also you got points in passives just for the sake of it that don't really add anything.Seems like you got the abilities you wanted then said"Screw it and just fill up as many passives as i can with the left over points"
I don't get it. I use the mnaxroll build and it is absolute horseshit against bosses even with all good aspects like recharge and tempering on weapons, hands and jewelry. Wife an me both playing it, damage was not enough at level 38 in first capstone dungeon. Absolutely weak sauce compared to bash barb in S04 who did it at 32 no probleme at all. The clear speed is great, normal mobs don't stand a chance and events are a breeze, but bosses just stand 10x longer than with bash barb making the build slow in dungeons, because the time saved by breezing thorugh the trash is spend 3x fighting the boss. I am 42 right now and will try capstone again, but right now I don't get why anybody could say this is a great build. What are we doing wrong here? Any help is appreciated. EDIT: We did it, could facetank all bosses and enemies with absolute ease, didn't even need any defensive skills. The boss fights were atrocious and took ages, never had any experience like this with Rogue, Necro or Barb. There is just a huge ammount of damage missing.
@@TheJohhnyE Barrage Rogue was way better to last season, even Whirwind didn't take anytime as long to kill bosses. I just don't know what I might be doing wrong. Will try Barrage Rogue as comparison I guess.
Did you get Axial Conduit yet? My build is diff from his and it’s fine melts. perhaps take all the points off potent warding and put in to fireball for greater fireball. Take 4 of lightning spear and put in 2 into electrocution and the rest to fire ball ranks.
Well at lvl 67 in one day, my Hydra with Thorns/Life per Second is still going strong, seeing people die on Helltides while killing Succubus and I stand strong lolol *Dang I gave my secret build away.. ;-)
This build is shit for leveling. You struggle with mana with axial pants. U need lucky hit for at least 50% mana and you also need at least 20mps and 250total mana. I am level 80 at the moment and it is still hard to play it. Much better if you go fireball build till you get max level.

With Lvl 35 I switched to WT3, so monsters 20lvl above no problem with chain lighning.

This set up is actually pretty terrible. You can easily surpass this with no tempering or specific aspects by just running hydra snd firewall
