Glad to see you back my brother. Finally a new build series from you. I love the way you do what you do. I appreciate your thought process when you're doing a build and have taken many tips from you. I'll be enjoying this series. Be Easy.
Looking good dude. I think some long skinny doors on the back to hide what’s off the wall when you walk by would be a cool feature to the stand up. They could slide down on a groove or something. Anyways as always love watching your builds
it looks really good man. i just started in this reefing stuff but i have got my 135 gal tank and stand and a skimmer sump tank heater and return pump. almost there. and ur build is close to mine lol black blue and white. i do like the controller on the door i think ima have to steal that lol. im also looking at the new things you talked about with the random flow for return. i like those
Looks very nice CJ. You might try and point the santa monica outlet nozzle towards the inlet of the skimmer, not directly but just to suck up any extra gunk. Seems to work well for me. Although my scrubber does not produce much since I also run a filter roller.
Yo CJ.. you've been gone for a while bro! Good to see you back man but during that time I shut down my own system taking a break myself.. resulting in a bunch of surplus equipment ..I've got a pair of Radions XR 30's G5 blues for sale I've only ran em for 12 months if you're interested man leave me a link here I'll get with you.. bonus prizes available as well.. welcome back and happy reefing with your new build bro
Using my Santa Monica I had to turn off my skimmer as nutrients get too low. Takes like a month for my scrubber to get going but I have to clean it weekly now.
I have the fifty gallon version, on my previous tank I made a cabinet for everything. I removed the right door and moved the the controller cabinet next to it But I needed a place for my apex dosers. So I put a 1/2 piece of plywood cut to the size of the tank and stand in between the door with a cutout at the bottom for cables works well
Could it be possible to plug into a UPS back up run your system like a computer plus if your power fails it will keep running right 😮 just been a thought of mine for my next build I’ve struggled with outages 3 times this year and I think I don’t want that anymore 😢great content tho really nice set up 👍
Now that I’ve added some life to the tank I’ve had to adjust them a lot. It’s very direct flow. I think they are better suited for supplemental flow not primary. I more then Likely will add gyres along with them for a better pattern in the tank.
That mighty jet xl is a huge pump, just wondering what do you run it at, i have IM 50 int lagoon and tuning now, this tank will be turning over a lot! Your setup 👍🏿💯
What are the dimensions (L"xW") of the Mighty Jet XL pump controller? Trying to plan out my control board but I'm not seeing that info online anywhere. Slightly larger than a credit card?
Something to think about - how you have your heater and probe locations, if your return pump fails, the probe water will cool down so it will keep the heater on indefinitely and could super heat the return chamber water.
They have that covered the heating element also has its own thermostat built in independent of the controller. If it hits its maximum it still shuts off. This system is really nice multiple redundancies built in 💪🏾💯
Yes left open valve for UV on back of the tank. Not sure which route imma go for dosing, I’ve used CA reactor in the past. build budget is being spread out till that need is more relevant
Hi I'm ordering this exact setup. Thank you for you build series. Could you do another video on the wiring. Or email me some pictures I love the way it looks!
@CJSAQUARIUMS awesome sounds good, thank you. Loving this build series. I have 150g african cichlid tank, and a 90 gallon oscar tank. This is gonna be my first saltwater tank after being in the hobby for a couple years. I was a little overwhelmed at first, But these videos are amazing. Im taking notes, especially on the beeaasy methods lol.
@@CJSAQUARIUMS you have a awesome tank. I have a fresh water tank and one day I may invest into a saltwater tank, and I just want a estimate how much it may cost me so I can start saving up

It’s the weekend and I’m watching a cj video. All is right in the world again.
Glad to see you back. When I returned to the hobby in December, I was sad to see you were on pause. Look forward to more content.
Good to see you back I remember watching you all the time when you had the 65gal AIO because I had the same one.
Man I just like how clean your work is man !!!

Very nice !! Got a random flow nozzle cracked on me while installing. Guy from the company sent me another one free of charge right away. Good stuff.
I really liked how you organized all the wires! Looks clean!
Nothing like a new build with shiny new equipment 🙌🏼
I see your back again!!! Good luck!!
Im gonna rejoin the hobby now after watching this! You got my itch back haha
The sump looks aesthetic. Very clean look along with the wire management! Those random flow generator nozzles work very well. Nice addition.
Glad that your back in full effect. Best Aquarium Vidoes always. 🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful build!! Stoked to see this thing up and running.
Clean wires, nice setup. Can’t wait for scape
Dam you did a hell of a job setting up your Sump area. Very nice. 🐟🐟
U know jeboa makes good stuff when IM pumps look like rebranded jeboa lol . Glad you back loving the build series !
Definitely reminds me of those pumps I had back in the day. Thanks for tapping in 🫡
Happy to see you back I thought corona got you I’m serious
Had my nuvo for 3 years and it has a mighty mini and it's a great pump. You can tell by the flow when it needs to be cleaned and it just keeps going.
Welcome back!!
Nice load out cj. Keep the vids coming 👌

Job well done CJ!!! Everything so clean and organized. Looking forward to future vids.
Love the wire management, that stand is great.
Very clean setup. Look forward to the next video.
Looking good. Very clean.
Nice stealthy wire management CJ! I love the build already can't wait to see the progression. Be eazy!
Looking real good CJ👍
Dang, that’s a clean setup. I’m envious. Nice work researching all those components!
Nice clean look
Helio is the best heater I’ve had so far. Very consistent
Loving it so far I feel safe using it with all the redundancies built in
It’s looking pretty sick! By the way, welcome back😋

You definitely need to bring back the THE REEF SHACK
Came out great!

Thanks again CJ! Did the Rain Scrubber come with the pole mount, or did you have to buy that separately?
Pole mount is separate.. but you can support it with a manifold without it like I did my 120g. Whatever works best for you
@@CJSAQUARIUMS thanks eh!!

sump game on point 🤙🏼
nice build so far. What are you using for lighting inside your stand?
Amazon motion sensor leds.. so many options available I didn’t think to add a link for these 😎👍🏾
What did you use to connect the Mighty Jet to the PVC? 1 1/4", 1", or 3/4" barb off the pump?
1”
Great setup! Was curious how are you liking the IM powerheads so far?
Now that I’ve added some life to the tank I’ve had to adjust them a lot. It’s very direct flow. I think they are better suited for supplemental flow not primary. I more then Likely will add gyres along with them for a better pattern in the tank.
@@CJSAQUARIUMS thanks for the reply. trying to decide on what powerheads to get for my ext50 lagoon.

100% full blast as it also feeds manifold powering UV and alage scrubber
Hey cj what size random flow generators did you use on your tank and how are they doing?
3/4” and I removed them awhile back to make more room for my wave makers. They do work well tho
What are the dimensions (L"xW") of the Mighty Jet XL pump controller? Trying to plan out my control board but I'm not seeing that info online anywhere. Slightly larger than a credit card?
I’d say slightly larger rough guess is 4x3”
@@CJSAQUARIUMS You rock. Thanks CJ
Should have installed a filter roller, Socks are old school and the filter rollers make a massive difference.
I’ve never used filter socks besides deep cleaning days I like my systems stay open and nutrient rich so no roller mats for me 😎👌🏾

Sps dominate tank ......🤩🥳
hi man, are planning to use UV light for future? or even auto dosing pump for Ca, Kh & Mg?
Yes left open valve for UV on back of the tank. Not sure which route imma go for dosing, I’ve used CA reactor in the past. build budget is being spread out till that need is more relevant
Going all in on IM products. I’m interested to see how the return and wavemakers perform.
Time will tell.. return pump seems solid. Wave makers jury still out until we get the tank scaped. stay tuned 😎👌🏾
Same
Would been nice to squeeze a spot to run chaeto.

Keep going thru the build series I did wires in the stand then changed to a control board outside it

❤😊 your tank and the equipment how much money do you think you have invested into your tank?
I’d never spread such negativity… it’s alot 😅

@@CJSAQUARIUMS thank you so much I’m so glad to see brothers into the saltwater hobbies
Stick with socks, filter rollers are too good and strip virtually everything out, you will end up dosing nitrates and phosphate !! Looks great mate
U are bugging.
Had a simplicity skimmer, motor took a crap after a year. They’re junk
