Hi bqueen_1340cc, may I have your permission to use this video in my compilation? Can you explain what happened? Where did this happen? Credited on-screen with a link back. Stay safe
I'd rather not say exactly where it is. It's in the mountains in California. An suv ran out of gas. It was basically a blind corner. I had 3 bikes behind me so I slowed enough to go through the dirt and end up on the other side of the suv. While I was slowing, the number 3 bike in our group hit the number 2 bike and then my bike.
Of course youre going to look at your bike after getting rear-ended , and clownboy that rear-ended her didn't say omg, I'm sorry, so doesn't sound like a homie??
🤔 My 2 cents: 1) Canyons are VERY unpredictable, and uncontrolled environments. The TRACK is a "controlled" & predictable environment. 2) I think "we" should save our "hot" riding for the TRACK! Glad no one was KILLED 💀, shheesh! -Happy 4th of July, 2024!! 🥳
@rrydinhigh2452 yeah you can't go 100% in the canyon. But that's no reason to only do track riding. You learn how to cope with unforseen variables when you ride canyons.
@bqueen_1340cc - I'm not suggesting "only" track riding. I'm suggesting don't "go hard" on public roads. That's all. Well, you do you. When I go to the canyons, I'm there to "take in" the beauty. If I'm traveling @ 100 mph, I might miss some spectacular views 😄. My view 👀 might be the inside of a paramedic truck 🤕! -😆
@rrydinhigh2452 yeah it's a possibility anywhere you ride anytime you get on a bike, or a car. We weren't pushing it when that occurred. If we had been I'd have been off the cliff and my friend would've been inside the trunk of the cop car. But I agree with you in general. I do a lot of track days.
Yeah kinda but really if the riders had been traveling closer to the speed limit they should have had time to stop. The camera bike looked like it was doing in excess of 95mph as it came around that blind turn.
This is only to blame on these fools. They were doing well over double the limit, like usual. If they were doing the speed limit and not treating the public road as a race track, they easily would have been able to stop
@@bqueen_1340cc bad excuse. that's almost as daft as people who say "he died doing something he loved". you and your mates cannot crash that many times and consider yourselves good riders

I dunno, I'd call that a short straightaway after the Corner.
Or the bikers should've entered a chevroned corner at a safe speed 🤷
