The Facless men might be allowing Arya to break the rules because in some weird sense, if they give you enough faces and contracts, you might somehow lose your entire sense of self rather than willingly giving it up. So it doesn't matter if she messes up 9 times, if on the tenth she becomes a faceless man without knowing.
If cercei's trial gonna end up with a trial by combat, the faiths champion gotta be Sandor. I don't see George just leaving Sandor at the quiet isle and not reintroduce him into the story. The quiet isle did transform Sandor leaving his hound identity behind but this doesn't mean he is a zen buddhist monk that would not fight against his brother that stands for everything thats wrong with knighthood and personally traumatised him. What better way to reintroduce Sandor then a duel defeating his brother the 'false knight' not through vengeance but through justice. Ps respect for the support you gave George without him we wouldn't even had anything to discuss in the first place. Another ps lol, I think when Cercei's loses the trial she will pull something similair to blowing up the sept of baelor that happend in the show and make it out to casterly rock
“A little bird told me” Sandor returns before that. After Aegon marries Sansa and Aegon and retinue (minus Jon Con) burns; dowager Queen Sansa (Cercei’s pupil, now grown) leaves for home. She is captured by Mountain men, errr… Vale Mountain men, and held prisoner with Mad(Martingan: Willow) Mouse (Same name: Ladyhawke). Sansa sends a bird to Sandor a la “Fairytale: bird to prince trope”. Mad Mouse helps her escape to Sandor a la “Ladyhawke”. Like the “daughterless” Stark, will make baby(ies) with a guy with no last name to continue the line. Then later Cleganebowl, Sandor dies being pulled off the edge of wall or ledge by Gregor. I’m not sure if Sandor is trying to save his brother or not at the time (villain ledge trope). Either way they hold each other as they fall, in rage literalisticly described as hugging or if he’s trying to save him/forgave him, actually hugging him (physics vs. ledge trope re: Kyle Hill’s UA-cam video) as they fall to their doom. Here's the reason why Barry won't flip to fAegon, didn't he do that whole detective act to figure out if Dany was crazy? I don't think he is going to just fall for fAegon just because Jon Connington claims he is Rhaegar's son. I will go even further, I have a theory: Dany hears about fAegon and sends Barry to investigate because Barry was Kingsguard and had most info about the royal household. Barry takes the mission and goes and tries to sus out fAegon. Here's the thing with Barry, people can hoodwink him to his face knowing who he is, but who's going to try to pull the wool over his eyes when he is just dressed up as a wandering septon. Barry infiltrates, susses out truth about fAegon, and gets intel about his retinue, leaves and Dany uses that info to neutralize fAegon's party. Boom!
@@jsizemore1449 no doubt Tyrion has probably figured out the Blackfyre part too, he knows of the Golden Company's involvement. I think Dany might still send Barristan to find hard evidence and get more info about their forces.
that can't happen. if anything, it will be at the end of the book, and beginning of DOS. itll just take too long to get Barry to Westeros alone. Hell only really be able to get there when Dany does and at that point, the books over
I think Dream of Spring will finish much faster because Winds of Winter had the tricky work of bringing the threads together. And Im hopeful we’ll get WOW in ‘22 or ‘23. And we know the ending for the most part. I’m enjoying spending the wait speculating on how GRRM will get to the endpoint vs how the show did it. It will be VERY DIFFERENT.
Agreed, once a few essential storylines are figured out for WoW, the rest of the book should come together, and he recently said he finished a few characters storylines up. It doesn't mean anything to me because of his past history, not sure we're ever gonna get DoS. Winds im pretty optimistic on, like 60/40. But you're right, WoW was troublesome but getting it done is gonna expedite the next book.
Regarding Gregor, I think the sept will be blown to hell like in the show, preventing a fight, only because it seems the history of Westeros is going full circle, and her using wildfire would be similar to when a targaryn burned the original sept. IDK 🤷🏼♂️ 😊
Waaaaarrriorssss!!! Come out and playyy!!! I love your deep dives. It’ll be interesting to see where Stannis ends up. Definitely a more interesting fate than the TV series. I can see Stannis taking the Black in the aftermath of losing his daughter. He’s definitely in it to win it at Winterfell, fight off the Others during the Long Night but from that point on I don’t know where his story goes because F-Aegon vs Daenerys and then you have Euron Greyjoy and Cersei. It’s all a pretty big battle Royale which won’t leave much alive in Westeros.
Oh wow, I really liked the idea that Stannis has some Agamemnon parallels. Agamemnon kills a stag (Renly?), then burns his daughter to clear the storm. Not that Stannis will be there for it, but I like the inspiration. Does this mean Paris = Rhaegar? Davos = Odysseus? Lyn Corbray = Achilles?? 😉🤣
I really appreciate your passion for the books and characters. I love how positive you are about GRRM and your well researched theories. Thank you for your dedication, it makes for very compelling videos!
Comment number 232! Slowly but surely making its way to over 400! Thanks for all the great content and for being brave enough to put your predictions out there for all to see!
If Barry does flip for fAegon there would be a certain irony in it. By slaying Maelys the Monstrous he brought the 5th Blackfyre Rebellion to an end so for him to unknowingly aid in the 6th. Delicious.
A word sacrifice for the algorithm gods, old and new! But for real tho, you’re the best ASOIAF content creator doing it who’s name isn’t GRRM, thanks so much!
Makes me happy to see one just as obsessed as I am. Wonderful predictions sir, and thanks for sating my thirst for more ASOIAF til the Winds of Winter is upon us.
@Jackie C there are 4 Reeks: original, Fake Ramsey, Theon, and Rob. Rob is the Reek at Moat Cailin who CAN hold a sword dressed as Theon. Theon is the Reek who CANNOT hold even a knife dressed as Rob at Winterfell. Big Twin Symbolism like “we should go back”. Anyway, the hooded man is Rob (holding the knife) to Theon. It’s why Lady Dustin checks Reeks fingers, because the reader should. They have a reverse order count that mirrors each other. Some fingers done by Ramsey, some done by Reek chewing himself like a caught wolf; the other Reek, some done by Ramsey’s man, some by Ramsey.
Oh damn, the stark kids are getting an upgrade, Sansa becomes a bird lady, Arya becomes a ninja, Rickon becomes the goodest of boys, Bran becomes a walking talking Wikipedia minus the walking and maybe the talking, and Jon becomes an incest Jesus.
This is a reminder that the books are so much richer than the show. Especially compared to seasons 5-8, which were so simplified. Thanks so much for this upload great stuff!
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but an alternative to Jon leading the others could be Benjen, would be interesting to see how the starks/Jon would deal with it and it’s something Jon’s had to deal with before with Ygritte and the wildling attack. Great stream by the way been watching a while and have enjoyed the content greatly, thought I should be more interactive to show my thanks :)
@@emarti3853 I can’t see why not I don’t believe it’s true but if it is benjen it explains where his been and why his party was found dead but not him. Also Benjen has more stark blood than Jon as his parents were stark cousins, but like I said it’s more of fun speculation than a substanced theory
Sansa’s life is ending up quite the parallel to Cersei’s. Spends her childhood enamoured with the glamorous heir to the throne only for that engagement to fall through and for her to end up (probably) married to some flashy new heir who’s already got a bastard and a reputation for whoring in order to secure treaties and alliances. Minus the whole brother shagging, their stories are quite similar in how they appear to be unfolding. Both are under the thumbs of intelligent men who control their fates. The main difference is that Sansa loves her family whereas Cersei’s hate for her family destroyed their house
Currently going through the books again and a part of Catelyns oath to Brieanne stood out to me and makes me feel like it'll play a part in how she and Jamie will get out of the cave. Catelyn says "I'll never ask anything of you that will bring you dishonor" or whatever and I feel like Brieanne will see that oath as broken after Jamie is brought to the cave and stoneheart gets her hands on him and will take up arms to protect him. Almost recreating Jamies vision but instead of the foes being the ghosts of Jamies past it'll be the ghost of the honorable woman who was once catelyn. I also feel like Thoros will take their side considering his obvious discomfort with what catelyn is doing to the brotherhood
Oh very interesting. I like the potential foreshadowing of Brienne defending Jaime from accusers. Good call. And if love it if Thoros thought for himself for once and did the right thing yeah
EXCELLENT STREAM ! perfect way to relax on my start of the work week helps my adhd brain wire down to talk amongst friends and familiar things ! also hope Jaime and Brienne get some power (either or/both) Love the art too was spectacular !
I love the gorms way theory for bran and meera!!!! Okay this has me thinking about the jamie dream. Fledgling theory Bran and meera will have an EPIC chapter of the journey through the sunless sea with a bunch of callouts to journey to the center of the earth and maybe some deep ones shenanigans. Ending with Jamie and Brianne in the deepest crypts of winterfell fighting to give Bran a chance to reach winterfell. Imagine that meeting of Jamie confronting his sins and truly redeeming himself as Bran finally is able to confront the the golden man from his dreams.
Honestly at this rate it would be hilarious if the last two books just get dropped in stores and online Beyoncé style. People would literally give themselves aneurysms trying to speed read the books and post online and the sales would go nuts. Would never happen because publishing never does anything that insane or spontaneous but what a wild and amusing idea if it happened.
The dragon has 3 heads. There is a huge possibility Dany Jon and aegon will fight the others. Black or red a dragon is still a dragon. So aegon even if he’s a blackfyre might help fight the others. I think he will have blackfyre as illyrio gives it to him . Jon weilds son of the morning. And dany has her dragons.
This one is going to be good! I look forward to seeing every characters story line play out but I really want to see what happened between Jamie and Breanne in the Riverlands. I know it's going to be so much different the show. I'm pretty sure Brianne is going to meet Stoneheart and have a conversation and maybe save Jamie's life since Jamie never actually broke his oath because he did try to get Arya and Sansa back her, while also sending Brianne on a mission to get Arya at all cost and bring her to Catelyn
Great stream. I liked the *boop* format. I have to agree that book Tyrion is going to go pretty dark unless someone pulls him back from the brink. The temptation to punish Cersei in particular will be too much.
I feel like egg from dunk n egg is a parallel for young griff, both young boys being taught through life experience ..and he does end up burning his castle to the ground

Maybe the reason Arya doesn't get in trouble for making her personal vendettas is because after all, the Faceless Men are assassins and don't really care.
They absolutely care about who she kills and i'll tell you why I'm so sure. The faceless men is an organization with ideals on morality and not just a bunch of assassins without any goals, they believe *all men must die* and *death is sacred and certain* . The first person Arya kills since she joined them (without a direct assignment to do so) is Dareon, a deserter from the night's watch. The laws of his own organisation doom him to die, Arya know and carries the job to kill him because he deserved to die (according to western laws, according to Arya's point of view, and also by faceless men's rules as well). So when they blind her and carry on with the next step of her training I can see it as a reward for doing a great job: she proved herself as an skilled and silent assassin, nobody saw her do it and she was quick and resourceful when it came to dispose of the body and erase her involvement; she demonstrated a clear understanding of the faceless men values, as we know Dareon was a night's watch oath breaker and thus he would have died eventually anyway, and for legitimate reasons. He had an appointment with death and tried to avoid it, and Arya as a servant of death had to do something about it; She shows initiative by taking the life of a doomed men, demonstrating that she understands their motto completely: *Valar Morgulis* (he HAD TO die), *Valar Dohaeris* (Arya HAD TO do it). That killing had the faceless men seal of approval all over it.
@@claire3614 Yeah, if a highly trained faceless man were to abandon the faceless men order they could kill a nobelman and take over their life of luxury. So demonstraiting what she thought of deserters endeared Arya to the faceless men.
I just don’t think that Sweet Robin is going to die. There’s more going on with him than meets the eye. The kid already thinks he can be on par or better than Tommen. He wanted eight knights because Tommen has seven and he is a competitive little dude and notices a whole lot. He seethes at Harry when Harry dances with Sansa. I kind of think Robin will surprise people. I really hope so. Everyone hates on him and he’s just a little kid. From what we’ve seen from him he’s protective and loyal and loving. If he got a good teacher/role model he could be awesome. I think that the Mad Mouse being there knowing Sansa is Elaine will be a bigger problem than some expect. I also think that the black ice symbolism means that he will have a Valyrian steel suit of armor becoming indestructible and the sword is the true Lightbringer.

In addition to solving things at Slaver Bay, I think the Dosh Khaleen will also become the leaders of the Dothraki society going forward, returning back to their gender-equality roots of the Dotraki society (of which there is evidence in their distant cousins, the Jhogos Nhai, and also the Dosh Khaleen itself being an artifact of a more equal-gender Dothraki society of the past). i liked your breakdown of the words Dosh Khaleen in your Vedic Dany video, and it's probably a hint of how the Dosh Khaleen originally wielded considerable power
Hi David. I think The Hound has a very clear path to fight the Mountain. I think the show may have had some notes to that path. The Quiet Isle is not really that far from Kings Landing, and if the brothers get slaughtered by the mountain’s ex-soldiers, he may want to travel to KL to defend the honor of all brothers and sisters of the faith against the Mountain and Cersei.
I noticed that a few times in the books that Sansa is described as being poor with math and sums - very specifically. Somehow I think this will play a role with her pulling the rug out from Littlefinger. and only then in the last paragraph of the book do we finally get to hear who's side they're really on in this whole big picture.
This was so fun, and organized. We even had time for Patches! Looking forward to your Dany video with anticipation. 🔥
you got Knighted too!
@@espalier 🥺 it meant a lot to me!
That’s an interesting thought
Oh hey Dad
Your point about the dosh khaleen being experienced administrators is really great and not one I've heard before
If cercei's trial gonna end up with a trial by combat, the faiths champion gotta be Sandor.
You're right! Wow! I can already see it! I hope it happens!
CLEGANEBOWL HYYYYYYYYYYPE
Or have him asked to fight Gregor and refuse
a non-contrived Cleganebowl 😍
“A little bird told me”
Sandor returns before that. Gregor
I think Sansa will save sweatrob from littlefinger, thus gaining control of the vale armies through him. Harry will bite the dust..
Oh okay that’s an interesting idea! I like it
She might save him for a bit, but he'll die.
Here's the reason why Barry won't flip to fAegon, didn't he do that whole detective act to figure out if Dany was crazy? I don't think he is going to just fall for fAegon just because Jon Connington claims he is Rhaegar's son. I will go even further, I have a theory:
Dany hears about fAegon and sends Barry to investigate because Barry was Kingsguard and had most info about the royal household. Boom!
Actually Barristan can't fool Varys in the Red Keep, but hey it's still a cool theory, and I still don't think Barry will flip so easily.
Cool theory but i think Tryion has enough info to suss out who F Aegon is and will be the one to fill Dany in....just my opinion
@@jsizemore1449 no doubt Tyrion has probably figured out the Blackfyre part too, he knows of the Golden Company's involvement. I think Dany might still send Barristan to find hard evidence and get more info about their forces.
Surely the Dornish will take one look at Young Griff and, if fAegon is canon, expose the fact that he is clearly not a descendant of Elia Martell
that can't happen. if anything, it will be at the end of the book, and beginning of DOS. itll just take too long to get Barry to Westeros alone. Hell only really be able to get there when Dany does and at that point, the books over
I imagine the sacking of Old town is going to Mirror , the burning of the Library of Alexandria
100%
Fantastic stream! Nice to end on Mel, my favorite character in the story. Thank you for all the work you’ve been doing on her character in general!
Best stream ever! If I were UA-cam, I’d certainly be showing it to everyone
This is beautiful. Thank you for this, even all these years later haha
Your selection of art in this video is tip top! Thank you to all the wonderful artists who send out their work for us all to enjoy.
You are delusional. We are never getting Winds.
@@sjajsjsja4523 Lmao, we're definitely getting winds. Dream however might be a different story
@@orange-dog9504 I think winds are 50/50 and dream is highly unlikely. It all might end up exactly like dune series missing 7th book.
@@sjajsjsja4523 75% done, we just need an another pandemic
Agreed, once a few essential storylines are figured out for WoW, the rest of the book should come together, and he recently said he finished a few characters storylines up. It doesn't mean anything to me because of his past history, not sure we're ever gonna get DoS. Winds im pretty optimistic on, like 60/40. But you're right, WoW was troublesome but getting it done is gonna expedite the next book.
It's SO nice to hear someone talking about GRRM like that. I appreciate it.
Here to comment because our Lord Lightbringer commands it!!
I know I'm late here, but just wanted to say this has been one of my favorite livestreams you've done!
Aww thanks!
Regarding Gregor, I think the sept will be blown to hell like in the show, preventing a fight, only because it seems the history of Westeros is going full circle, and her using wildfire would be similar to when a targaryn burned the original sept. IDK 🤷🏼♂️ 😊
Agree on that
Left a like for “Brotherhood without bannisters”! Great stream, thanks for the entertainment/distraction, I really needed it
Waaaaarrriorssss!!!
I think Sansa will outplay Littlefinger by instead siding and protecting Robert Arryn
It’s pretty wild how timeless your videos are as long as we are all deprived of TWOW. Thank you!
I really appreciate your passion for the books and characters. I love how positive you are about GRRM and your well researched theories. Thank you for your dedication, it makes for very compelling videos!
Thank you, and as they say, "please tell your friends!"
Comment number 232! Slowly but surely making its way to over 400! Thanks for all the great content and for being brave enough to put your predictions out there for all to see!
Thank you so much for the stream and keeping my hype for The Winds Of Winter alive!!
First stream I was able to catch part of. So excited for the Dany video! Keep up the amazing work with keeping the dream of TWOW alive
Right on Emily! It's more fun with the live chat going too right?
So much more fun with the live chat :)
Missed the stream but already starting from the beginning! You rock!
Always enjoy your videos, and I agree we should remain positive and support the creator of this series that we clearly love.
I love the way you think. Greatly admire your work!
Your point about the dosh khaleen being experienced administrators is really great and not one I've heard elsewhere
Missed it live, but I'm glad the recording will keep me company tonight!
Makes me happy to see one just as obsessed as I am. Wonderful predictions sir, and thanks for sating my thirst for more ASOIAF til the Winds of Winter is upon us.
I think the Boltons and Freys breaking guest right, Northern independence AND the threat of the Others will be enough to rally the Skagosi.
This was fabulous to watch and I loved seeing all the wonderful art work you chose for each of the characters you spoke about! Thank you David!
Thanks as always Maura! This was a particularly fun stream :)
I never heard that theory before, omg, it seems very possible
If Joe Magician was right, they are looking for a Stark. If Jon can't be found, maybe Benjen is good enough?
@@emarti3853 I can’t see why not I don’t believe it’s true but if it is benjen it explains where his been and why his party was found dead but not him. Also Benjen has more stark blood than Jon as his parents were stark cousins, but like I said it’s more of fun speculation than a substanced theory
@@cmatthews1958 it works, except if they're looking for LML's prince that was promised to the others. Then its only john
@@emarti3853 Very true, let’s hope winds comes out soon so we can all see what happens :)
I really appreciate the way you deep dive into themes and symbolism.
Hey, good observations!!
And who knows sansa might end up marying jon if the theories are correct so brother shagging could still be on the table
Can't wait for any of these povs to be released!
I want a poster of the completed 21 main characters that was pretty cool. Another great stream lml thank you
Currently going through the books again and a part of Catelyns oath to Brieanne stood out to me and makes me feel like it'll play a part in how she and Jamie will get out of the cave.
Great to be a part of the live stream. Been listening for a good while now. Thanks so much for the great content it was fun.
Good Stuff Bro!
As soon as Podrick is free ( and amie) Brienne will behave honorably again.
Patches on fire wailing last bit of dark secrets before passing on , would be great
Dropping a support comment. I kinda imagine Rickon's time on Skagos will be a version of "Where the Wild Things Are."
Lol I love it
Great stream.
Seems to me that Melisandre saw Stannis in the fire to help him bc he would head to the Wall. Will she see someone after John? That John was another stepping stone?
Well I wouldn’t call Jon a stepping stone, but she might come to see Dany, certainly
@@DavidLightbringer Thanks for responding. Got to ask about the name change. Been a while since I saw your content. Also, do you think there are multiple 'irons in the fire' when it comes to Azor Ahai or has there only ever been one?
Just watched for a second time and really enjoyed your takes on all these characters and the random ones that other folks asked about. I was really impressed that you stood and did that for over 2 hours! Just wanted to say, good job, keep it up!
Thanks Chad! That was a fun stream :)
Great stuff as always : )
Thanks for keeping the candles lit
LML: "Alyn Cockshaw falls down the well is somehow connected to JonCon, I forget what the symbolism is there."
My queer ass, instantly: "Being mad ghey for a Targaryen prettyboy? It's not like they *don't* have that in common."
They are very much parallel characters, yes indeed
I just finished ADWD and needed this kind of videos so bad
Great video. It's been a long time since I found any joy in GoT stuff, but this popped up and I thought Hey, I wonder what LmL is up to. Glad I watched and its back down the rabbit hole
Maybe the reason Arya doesn't get in trouble for making her personal vendettas is because after all, the Faceless Men are assassins and don't really care.
That’s kinda what I’m saying, they only pretend to scold her
They absolutely care about who she kills and i'll tell you why I'm so sure.
Hey, great video and also great explaining in the end why it’s important to comment
Great stream! Love this recap on the winds of winter predictions! Those were some of my faves
If Loras is burned from the hot oil and he ends up fighting the Mountain, then he would be a stand in for The Hound.
Oh good point
I think that was a lie. Tyrells want Loras to take their fleet and army back to the reach and stop Euron, making KL open for fAegon
great stream lml been away for a while due to exams but will be watching the older streams now and the new ones
Right on Vansh! Def gotta take care of business first, way to be
I love your predictions and totally agree with your logic. But I secretly hope for huge grrm curve balls . I wonder what the series will leave unresolved .
For sure. No one saw fAegon coming in book 5, and that changed everything.
You're the only person I watch 2h+ livestreams of
That’s real ❤️ thank you
the "Everyone write something in the coments" worked. It's the only reason i watched the whole video!
Always enjoy your streams.
56:40 I’m a staircase designer and I lol’d at “The Brotherhood Without Bannisters”
melisandre isn't going to become a fire wight. Is andre is polish which means "to work". And Mel in polish means mill, like the farming structure. Melisandre is going to become a mill worker and her name is transparent proof of that.
Lol but, more seriously, maybe it means she is a hardworking person. Maybe for centuries?
This comment is better late than never: your bird doesn’t sound loud until you ask about it ,it’s kind of like when someone says
“Shhh, you hear that annoying ringing or beeping ?!? Lol bad sound examples. But I’m hoping you get my point and you didn’t hear the sound and l now you hear the sound!?! Though it’s not ever annoying even when you point it out, to me at least. 🥸. Rambling .. my bad to much💨. BUT… speaking for myself her voice is always adorable ☺️ that’s her speakin, I suppose. . Cant wait for FAB to start. Not least of all for your insights and reviews. Great stream!
So if you think the winds of winter ends with the long night falling, that makes me think maybe we won't see the resolution of Benjen's story yet.
Missed this one live, but just came over from your weapons and warriors live chat. I hope WoW comes soon. Great predictions but I'm ready to read it
Thank you, I can’t imagine how long these take to prepare!
Superb stream!!
For the algorithm! Thank you for all the great content.
that bird david has is so cool
it reminds me of 'red birb'
Loved this stream!
Good stream. I really hope that you are right and the Dosh Khalen fix some of the problems in Meeren.
Yeah that’s true, it’s hardly impossible
Been listening to you for a few years now, love your work, and got psyched when I saw the warriors jersey 💪
Great livestream! Thanks for posting it, and all your other ones. They make for great listening material while writing.
I noticed that a few times in the books that Sansa is described as being poor with math and sums - very specifically. Somehow I think this will play a role with her pulling the rug out from Littlefinger. We know that he was most likely responsible for the realm's massive amount of debt, but even Tyrion is too confused by Littlefinger's bookkeeping to figure it out before fleeing. I really think Sansa is going to figure it out. Great stream!
