We just played Chapter 5-6 but I m not sure we payed it properly. In Ch 5. before Pippin could move out from the starting place a Goblin got onto Place 7. Can Pippin (or Merry) go through a goblin without an Ent?
for chapter 5 regarding the goblins and the fire I think the newly placed chip (if adjacent to a goblin) is supposed to be the fire, especially considering that otherwise a goblin might be flipped that shared a space with a character or ent, which wouldn't be allowed.
Ernesto, that jersey is from Geeky Jerseys. I love their stuff too much. Usually you can enter your email to be notified when they put them back up for preorder but I don't see this one from 4 years back as one you can do that for. Go to geekyjerseys.com to see what you can get right now and what you can enter to notify. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
rule correction! In the last chapter, i don't think you can get a miniature back up by discarding a card. in the rules, it is stated as ''using a FREE move'' to get em back on their feet.
Okay, so right away I have a question..."put the goblin in the NEXT HIGHEST SPACE" to me, that means the one below the number rolled...if you roll a 6, and it's filled, wouldn't the "next highest space" be 5...Dave said 9 wraps around to 1, but the next highest space to 9 would be 8, not 1. Since the cards number up to 15...your way puts high flipped goblins on 1...whereas my way puts all high number flipped goblins on 9. Not sure what the intent should be.
if you ARE doing it correctly, I think the wording is misleading. Because in general conversation, if anyone said the "next highest number" you would always go down...not up. If it is up, shouldn't it say, "if the space is filled, place the goblin in the numbered space one above the one rolled, and in the case of 9, it would wrap around to 1" - that's just my five cents
@@msmilder25 You could very well be right. I took the emphasis to be on the word SPACE, "Place it in the next highest number space" meaning, to me, the next space. "Next" meaning - as it mostly does - "forward." I think this also a valid interpretation, and *feels* more like how most of the other chapters work. Again, not saying you're wrong, and I no longer have the rule book in front of me (it does have a short FAQ for each chapter, so maybe we did actually check this off camera). The wording is, indeed, not ideal... but, in a weird way, not really sure it matters. It's likely just as hard regardless of which way you do it, as long as everyone understands how it works before you start, right?
@@msmilder25 I think the rulebook makes this clearer. "Q: What happens if the Plot Chart requires you to put a Goblin on space 9, but it's already occupied. A. Place it on 1, or the next highest unoccupied space." That COULD mean that you place on 1 and, if 1 is opccupied, place it on 8, then 7, etc. but I think it's more natural to read it as you place it on 1 and, if 1 is occupied, place it on 2 then 3 etc. Plus, if they meant for you to go down, the question would have been "What happens if you have to put a Goblin on space 1..." not space 9.
I believe you could have laid your cards on the table so everyone could see what everyone has instead of asking who has what. This is after all, a co-op game.
Dave...starts calling him "Aragon" again in this video...Aragon and Gondorf...they're in the knock-off version of Lord of the Rings called Lord of the Rungs haha, also stars Gomli, Legoras, Bilbro, Sarmwise, Merrily and Puppin hahahaha
Of course. And green, and purplish, etc. But the cliché image for "apple" is red, and a pippin is a variety of apple... and come on, I needed something here :)
Haha Nikki's face after saying "are they multiplying?" gold! Love it
Nikki custodian of the lore 😊
It's wonderfully thematic (even if it is lost on Dave 😂), thanks for the play-through!

Laughing ever time you say Legolas as my 3 year old says "Mommy, I don't want to loose my Lego's."
Were to find that Roge Squadron jersey or jacket lol.

@@boardgamegeek Thank You!!!! I will check. I want a group to play board games like you do hehe.

It says there: "Players must use a free move or a story card to stand the character back up."

@@astrp3 Thanks, I was pretty sure this was covered in that FAQ.

Yellow is not an apple color?

Sucky outcome, but amazing video!!!
Dave, I love ya and you're amazing, but sometimes you're not a good co-op player 😅
Omg the mansplaining is strong in this one
Game is just prone for alpha-players, no need to be sexist about it.
