Instead of them being mad at the companies (and even parents) for debuting these young idols they get mad and send hate the idols themselves which is really sad. Those who give hate to K-pop idols, you are not welcome in this community, people and companies will not be happy if you make hate comments about their idols. In wonyoungs case, she got hate comments as a minor, which is not ok. Even in 2023 I still find many of these videos on UA-cam and other social media

The only explanation I can find for Wonyoung's "fake" and "cocky" personality is that she acts like this because she knows she has to look pretty and cute. All idols have to do that, even though many don't. It's their job, they don't choose to do it. I know that Wonyoung and other idols can cringe sometimes, but they surely have to. Their agencies might call them out on that, no matter how insignificant it may be. In short, Wonyoung doesn't deserve all the hate she receives. I liked Izone but only because of Sakura and Wonyoung. Producers did Sakura bad. Though I liked Wonyoung but I felt she was over rated. Kpop scene has always been prejudiced against all foreigners, Sakura lost the centre BECAUSE she is Japanese, so it would be ironic if Wonyoung turns out to be Chinese.

To be honest, I remember being a little upset during Produce 48. I went in with the hopes of seeing some girls I'd followed for year finally get the recognition they deserved, so whenever she got screen time over them I was like "who is she?". But after Izone started promos, I also couldn't help but notice how her stage presence and how she honestly worked hard, and ended up being a big fan of her. I think she was truly meant to be a star; charming, talented, and hardworking, with a very sweet personality to boot.
I recommend everyone who has a sliver of doubt about her to watch the recent video from them about their trip to Germany. Especially the packing their suitcases part.
I don’t hate Wonyoung at all in fact I’m super proud of how strong she has been throughout all of this hate, and I hope that she stays strong behind the scenes as well. Coming from a former person who use to really dislike wony (dislike not hate, i nvr hated on her), after observing her for the past 4 years (I AM A STAN NOW LOL SHE IS MY ULT BIAS IN THE WHOLE OF KPOP), she does have a few misleading actions such as:
1) Habit to roll her eyes - cuz by dry eyes + contacts, truth to be told lots of ppl have this problem. And believe it or not but at the WRONG angle at the WRONG TIME, this can look really wrong and she became victim of getting hate for "rolling" her eyes at ppl.
2) Crossing her arms - to be HONEST, i didnt like her at first because she gave me a very cold and "arrogant" vibe because of this, it does make her appear to hv some sort of "attitude" but i recently made a friend who is always doing this too and when i ask her about it she say its because she has such long limbs so its kinda awkward swinging them around when she is walking + its easier to walk with arms crossed for her. We all have different preferences in the way we carry ourselves. And this applies to the way we eat as well. Everyone eats differently n enjoys their food differently so who r we to tell others that eating food with two hands is wrong while eating food with one hand is correct?
3) Pouting, winking too much etc etc - I gonna be really honest.. When i first see her on produce, i cringe everytime she does this. But now, i just brush it off even tho sometimes i still cant stand it. We gotta rmb, not everyone is built the same. Just because majority of us have a natural friendly smiling face it doesn't mean everyone enjoy this kind of privilege. Some ppl have a serious rbf and its not their fault that they are born this way, they can be feeling happy and ppl would ask them "Why do u look so mad?" even when they ain't doing anything. Their resting face just looks cross 24/7 even when they are not and having observe her for the past 4 years, i realise that she does have this problem. When she doesn't smile she srsly looks very cold and unapproachable. And i am sure she knows it too, like everyone around her prob tells her that, esp the company. And being an idol, u HAVE to appear approachable and friendly to the public if not they will tag u as "unpleasant, cold, ice princess, arrogant, attitude problem etc". So even tho we can't relate or understand, try to know that there is always two sides of the story and there is always a reason why ppl do what they did. And having to constantly take note of your image to appear cute and be someone that doesn't really reflect the smart, reserved, non-aegyo type her true nature is honestly is alot more tiring for her. Thats some real effort and dedication, i couldn't appreciate it in the past because i couldn't see it but now, i could and i love her so so much for it. Thats REAL effort right there and i really admire her and respect her for it. Not every idol is willing to take that extra mile and put in that extra effort because just thinking about it sounds tiring already... some idols will just go fk it and dc. I swear to god I see so many of these hate videos for who young let me make this clear. Those who give hate to K-pop idols, you are not welcome in this community, people and companies will not be happy if you make hate comments about their idols. In wonyoungs case, she got hate comments as a minor, which is not ok. Even in 2023 I still find many of these videos on UA-cam and other social media

The immense hate she gets does bother me, all of the people that hate on her are based on assumptions. Those assumptions come from edited clips or bc she’s not “being herself” which again is an assumption bc nobody in real life knows her!! She genuinely doesn’t deserve the hate, wonyoung is honestly just living and people are hating on her. From what I’ve gathered, her friends seem to enjoy having her company and staff also laugh and look like they enjoy being with her. I definitely agree that people are being payed to leave bad comments and honestly wouldn’t be surprised if articles are also payed. To me wonyoung is talented, I like her voice and she dances well too. I wasn’t even a fan of her and had no intention of being, but after seeing the immense hate I did my own research on her and was confused as to why she was getting tons of hate. Coming from a former person who use to really really dislike wony (dislike not hate, i nvr hated on her), after observing her for the past 4 years (I AM A STAN NOW LOL SHE IS MY ULT BIAS IN THE WHOLE OF KPOP), she does have a few misleading actions and IMO, these made ppl misunderstood her really really easily. I always felt like she is just the type of ppl that some would really hate because they misunderstood her/dun really know her but once u understand her, get to know her more, u can't help but to fall for her because she is so lovable and very different from what her "bad image" sells.
Such as:
1) Habit to roll her eyes - cuz by dry eyes + contacts, truth to be told lots of ppl have this problem. And believe it or not but at the WRONG angle at the WRONG TIME, this can look really wrong and she became victim of getting hate for "rolling" her eyes at ppl.
2) Crossing her arms - to be HONEST, i didnt like her at first because she gave me a very cold and "arrogant" vibe because of this, it does make her appear to hv some sort of "attitude" but i recently made a friend who is always doing this too and when i ask her about it she say its because she has such long limbs so its kinda awkward swinging them around when she is walking + its easier to walk with arms crossed for her. We all have different preferences in the way we carry ourselves. And this applies to the way we eat as well. Everyone eats differently n enjoys their food differently so who r we to tell others that eating food with two hands is wrong while eating food with one hand is correct?
3) Pouting, winking too much etc etc - I gonna be really honest.. When i first see her on produce, i cringe everytime she does this. But now, i just brush it off even tho sometimes i still cant stand it. We gotta rmb, not everyone is built the same. Just because majority of us have a natural friendly smiling face it doesn't mean everyone enjoy this kind of privilege. Some ppl have a serious rbf and its not their fault that they are born this way, they can be feeling happy and ppl would ask them "Why do u look so mad?" even when they ain't doing anything. Their resting face just looks cross 24/7 even when they are not and having observe her for the past 4 years, i realise that she does have this problem. When she doesn't smile she srsly looks very cold and unapproachable. And i am sure she knows it too, like everyone around her prob tells her that, esp the company. And being an idol, u HAVE to appear approachable and friendly to the public if not they will tag u as "unpleasant, cold, ice princess, arrogant, attitude problem etc". So even tho we can't relate or understand, try to know that there is always two sides of the story and there is always a reason why ppl do what they did. And having to constantly take note of your image to appear cute and be someone that doesn't really reflect the smart, reserved, non-aegyo type her true nature is honestly is alot more tiring for her. Thats some real effort and dedication, i couldn't appreciate it in the past because i couldn't see it but now, i could and i love her so so much for it. Thats REAL effort right there and i really admire her and respect her for it. Not every idol is willing to take that extra mile and put in that extra effort because just thinking about it sounds tiring already... some idols will just go fk it and dc. Even if they choose to do that, we should respect them for it because everyone have a right to decide how they want to appear in the public's eyes. Its THEIR career after all... not ours.

The only explanation I can find for Wonyoung's "fake" and "cocky" personality is that she acts like this because she knows she has to look pretty and cute. All idols have to do that, even though many don't. It's their job, they don't choose to do it. I know that Wonyoung and other idols can cringe sometimes, but they surely have to. Their agencies might call them out on that, no matter how insignificant it may be. In short, Wonyoung doesn't deserve all the hate she receives. On several occasions, she proved to be a very kind and grateful person. Let's continue giving love to her and all the members of IVE without differences.

I liked Izone but only because of Sakura and Wonyoung. Producers did Sakura bad. Though I liked Wonyoung but I felt she was over rated. I mean lets all be honest. The vast majority of these idols out there are hardworking and deserve a spotlight. Wonyoung just so happened to be extremely lucky to the point that it can't all be a coincidence. It makes sense she's faced with all this backlash since this is the price you pay for being fortunate enough to be in the spotlight. She is probably one of the luckiest idols nowadays and this is what comes with it. Now is this fair? No, but nothing is. To be honest, I remember being a little upset during Produce 48. I went in with the hopes of seeing some girls I'd followed for year finally get the recognition they deserved, so whenever she got screen time over them I was like "who is she?". But after Izone started promos, I also couldn't help but notice how her stage presence and how she honestly worked hard, and ended up being a big fan of her. I think she was truly meant to be a star; charming, talented, and hardworking, with a very sweet personality to boot.
I recommend everyone who has a sliver of doubt about her to watch the recent video from them about their trip to Germany. Especially the packing their suitcases part.

I don’t hate Wonyoung at all in fact I’m super proud of how strong she has been throughout all of this hate, and I hope that she stays strong behind the scenes as well. The only reason why I’m stand offish with her is because the company is basically making her an unlikable person, don’t get me wrong the things she’s accomplished is amazing but the way she’s accomplishing them is bothering me. Like her modeling they have her posing way to sexy for her age and now it’s apart of her she can’t help it, they give her clothes that are way to short and i know she’s very tall but if that’s the case they should just give her some cute pants to wear not to mention she has gotten injured from the stage cause she had nothing to protect her legs.
