Do you use the 00 reading or till the last blue bar .
We get taught to be about 0,5-1,5 mm away from the apex where I study (Sweden)
even if u keep 5mm away...it won't budge for many years of preparation was good...but but but...if bacteria still in canal it may fail a perfect 1mm short RCT
I usually go for tip to tip. We all know tip to tip is anatomically over but it’s still better than under. At least you haven’t left room for necrotic tissues and bacteria. The over gutta percha will dissolve with time.
I'm curious, how long apical perforation in mm if the apex locator read minus 3 ?
I'd like to ask how did you come up with idea of the alginate cup and is it the regular alginate that we use or is it special because it looks like didn't completely set and thank you
Don't waste your time with "Eightteeth"
I'm a 10 year Jmorita user.
Tried Dentsply and Eightteeth
Nothing as accurate as Morita.
Because in apex location no tolerance is accepted.
10 years of experience without Working Length measurement, Nothing more reliable than Morita.
Well in chinese brands its the best you even compare it with big names like Morita

At what point in j morrita should we consider apical constriction
@@Metrodental1 from my experience, set it at the line just before the last one. will give the best results.
I had a trouble reading for a very dry canals, but if the canals got too wet the reading also not very accurate its frustating…..
irrigate your canal the put the file then use a chip syringe to make the canal semi wed/semi dry and make sure that your file is larger enough to touch the walls of your root canal system

It's from eight teeth
Fact is they are all equally as good since they all work under the same principale.
Epex from eighteeth might be the cheapest from a reputable brand.
Is there a video on the same apex locator to determine working length, an endodontist told me this apex locator isn't reliable for WL determination

How to make life easier when using it through metal crown
Wrap around teflon tape around the neck of working length file .
I bought recently the same E-Pex .. I made some tests myself on the fruits apple🍏 (instead of alginate). my tests revealed: when file was right at the proper place the apex locator displays full white line and 06 number ... I checked many times. advancing file even only to half to green bar, actually file was exceeded far beyond from the anatomical apex by 1,5, 2 mm. .... now I will test on filled with hypochlorite... what would you say ?? Ok when I’m in the office Monday, I’ll run some tests with an Apple 🍏. I’ve only used alginate for table top work. I’ll try green and red apples 🍎 🍏. Lol. Jk. Did you calibrate it with the calibration tool? It’s a little thing that plugs into the port.

Hey ash!! Had a question, what if you are having trouble taking your 10 file to the red bar? But it goes to the green. Should you still file to that or continue with a 6,8, file till you get the red bar?
Dr Ricucci swears by the green band tbh. I can’t break old habits it appears and I’m still head for red. BUT, when I can’t get to the red bar (apical split, dilaceration - or some type of thing I’m imagining in my mind), green is good for me. If it’s not in the green, then I get worried.

Thats the most painful machine i have ever experienced today during the root canal treatment. It made me leave the clinic 😢
Why are you here to spread disinformation and dump on a well built educational channel? Apex locators don’t hurt. They never have and never will. The number one reason why root canal treatment hurts is because the patient only presents with such bad inflammation that anaesthesia has reduced effectiveness.
Why ? It did nothing to me ?
