- Hi everyone

This isn’t sponsored content I’m just delighted by my experience at the shop and want to share that.
I’m also sharing the amazing new fabric from @atelierjupe I made the Alana dress using the large warm flowers viscose:

I’m so close to reaching a major subscriber milestone! Please can you subscribe and share my channel with your sewing friends to help me get to the 10000 mark? That would be amazing.
Please like my video and leave me a comment too ❤️❤️
I have a Kofi account where you can buy me a Kofi to say thank you for my content, I’d love to have a cuppa with you virtually x

You are going to be a busy bee, look forward to seeing your makes.
Thank you so much, I can’t wait to get started!
It's pretty wonderful to see a new fabric shop opening in your vicinity! You look terrific in that Alana dress and autumny fabric, Cara.
Thank you so much, it’s going to be lovely to be able to support a local shop
Hi Cara, your dress is beautiful and very seasonal in that fabric ❤. Love your fabrics and can’t wait to see what you make with them. Take care.
Thank you so much!
OMG! Your Alana dress is stunning and couldn’t come at a better time as I am about to toile it as my Mother of the Groom dress for my son’s wedding in May! I am really hoping it will be suitable for it anyway. Your fabric is sooo beautiful too ❤
Thank you so much, it’s a wonderful dress, it’ll be perfect for the wedding, wow what an exciting event to plan for x
Your Alana dress is beautiful! Great fabric from the new shop-love stretch twill for trousers. I’ve been reorganizing my kitchen after having all new appliances installed, but will be sewing today even though I haven’t finished the kitchen. Family all well after the hurricane. Large branches from my oak tree fell on the street. No damage done and by early morning, an army of wonderful neighbors arrived to cut up and clear. Happy sewing, Cara!
I’m so glad to hear your family is ok, wow worrying times. Exciting that your kitchen has new things how lovely, I’m so glad you are ok Laura I was thinking of you and yours last week xx some sewing is well deserved ❤️
I absolutely love your Alana dress I've been looking this morning for a dress pattern with long sleeves as I've just treated myself to some gorgeous fabric from Lamarzi fabrics and and been going through pattern online so thank you for your video I think I have to make the Alana ❤
Your belt is gorgeous too.
Thank you so much, it’s a lovely dress I can definitely see myself making more! Enjoy
Beautiful fabrics & great prices. I love the dress you have on. I do not like threading my serger. So yes, sometimes, I work on things that will need the thread color currently on the serger.
I’m glad it’s not just me 😅 lovely to hear from you thank you
I had a serger that I had so much trouble threading that I ended up getting rid of it.
Great vlog as always. Usually on fabric there are little holes in the selvedge the smoother holes on one side is the right side that is where it has been put on the loom. Love your fabrics ❤❤
Ah thank you, I’ll look out for that, thank you
love that dress on you 😍
Thanks Nicky I hope you enjoyed the show x
@@sosewmad Yes I had a lovely day thank you, was exhausted by the time I got back to the hotel and then basically did it all again on Sunday but at a hairdressing one!
Hi Cara. Some amazing plans there - I know you’re a speedy sewer but thats crazy when you work full time too and with everything else you have going on. I wish I was so organised 😂 However - I am with you on planning my makes depending on what my overlocker is threaded with!! I just changed it to navy today to do a shirt for my husband and now pulling out all the navy fabrics for projects from here 😂
I know I’m absolutely crazy I just seem to be able to sew very fast, with accuracy etc, I guess I just love it. I don’t watch as much tv as most and it’s how I keep my brain calm x
Great array of Fabrics your bargain ones a steal. Can I be really nosy and ask have you seen the model who was to wear your Lady MC Elroy makes. I liked them so much I bought the material you used on the Stevie dress. Such beautiful makes.
@@bredabrunell9582ah that’s amazing! I was sent a number of pictures of the model in her outfits but the sewing street programme never went to air, I’ll ask lady McElroy if I can share the photos I’ve seen, it was lovely as they all fitted perfectly ❤
Your dress is beautiful on you!!
Those fabrics are amazing and I can’t wait to see your new makes.
I’m in Colorado and we don’t really have apparel fabric shops like you guys do. I’m jealous. I made my first pair of pants with a fly front for the first time in about 45 years. And so far it’s going well.
Oh wow that’s awesome, congrats on the zip fly, it feels so satisfying doesn’t it!
What a stunning dress ou are wearing Cara! I’ll definitely need to take a trip to Hastings ❤️😍love that stretch twill!
It’s a great shop Julie ❤️ I’m delighted to have it on my doorstep, Dangerous too 🤣🤣
I’ve had great success (if I say so myself 😂) using a ponte with the Fibre Mood Roya dress. Interesting vlog showing the new fabric shop. Thank you Cara
Ooo thank you I will go and check that out! I really appreciate you letting me know x
Love the red on you !
Thank you so much
I’m with you on the Ultimate trousers Cara - for such a simple look I cannot get the fit right either. I’ve decided the block is just not suited to my body (but there is a niggle in there that wants to make them fit😆)
Oooo me to! I don’t understand why I can’t get them to fit 😅 glad I’m not alone
Lovely fabrics! Have recommended your vlogs to a friend ❤ happy sewing xxx ps I bought some lovely fabrics at the Show from Rosenberg, Roy’s and Sew Different. My first visit as I’m relatively new to sewing and I loved it! Take care of yourself xxx
Amazing! I’ll be sharing my k&s experience next week x
For someone who supposedly had 1/2hour to shop your did very well😅😅😊
Definitely a fabric shop sweep! 😅 the best kind of shopping, just as well I didn’t have long, I could have bought so much more
Hi from New Zealand
Wow hi! How absolutely amazing it’s so beautiful there ❤️❤️
Fab haul! Did you also get some from the knitting and stitching show ? 🫣🥰😂
Yes, I’ve recorded that for next Sunday 😊❤️
Hy there ime making the Heather dress with patterned front and back and plain sides and sleeves just a thought ?🥰
Oh yes that’s a lovely idea thank you
Love ur Alana dress 👗 😍 but who makes it plzzzz 🙏 omg that stretch Pontaroma with the flowers on & animal print I would die for it ❤ can I ask which Overlocker do u use plzzz cause I’ve been waiting one for ages but never used one before so it’s a bit daunting 😬 for me so if u could let me no which one it is that u use that would be a big help 😁 oh & I’m from the North East 😂 great vlog thanks xxx
Hiya the fabric and pattern is from atelier Jupe, my overlocker is just the basic brother 3034d not difficult to use at all. There are lots of UA-cam videos that will help you
The Molly dress from which company? Google just popped up kids patterns named Molly.
I’m probably going to make a Raya dress from Easily Made patterns as a less body con alternative to the Southbank.
Hi sorry the Molly dress is a pattern from the first ebook from @sewoverit
Fab fabrics… but the sound has been a bit muffled for me your last few videos (since you came back from France) 😊
Thank you, not sure why it’s muffled for you I’m afraid.
Cara! My husband was siting next to me and he yelled "You're famous!" Hahaha. You are the sweetest and yes, I can attest that you do answer every comment. You are the best and you do inspire with every video. I'm sharing it with my one and only friend who occasionally also sews. I've actually been in a bit of a rut and after sewing so much for my summer trip, now I'm wondering where my sewjo went. I need to find it asap as we go into the grey cold months. I must have missed it, but what coat are you sewing? I'd love to see a video where you show a collection of coats you've made, or pants for the autumn, jumpers, etc. I love seeing your makes. Hope the rest of your week was fab. Oh, btw, I mentioned it on Instagram, but that dress is stunning on you! I'm on a fabric ban (saving for March's trip to the UK!) so I'm living vicariously through your purchases. All lovely and what a bargain!
Lovely Rita, I just read your response to my husband 😅❤️ how beautiful is that. The world is tiny, and I feel like you live so close by. Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate that, your sewjo will be back , that’s the beauty of our hobby, we can pick up and put down. Sometimes full speed, others all ideas and no time. At the moment I’m all fabric and less sewing. So many ideas! I love every second and every experience of it x
@@sosewmad 🥰 I just saw on What Bec Sews that you did end up going to the Knitting & Stitching Show. I hope you had a wonderful time. Ok, confess, did you just go to be a social butterfly or did you add to your new fabrics? I'm being very greedy for all your sewing details in the hopes that they give me the push to focus and get back to it! Do you sew men's shirts for your husband? It's a rainy, cold, Sunday afternoon so I'm just catching up on the sewing scene, having a glass of Riesling wine and one or two Hairbo Sour Bats gummies! 🤣
