Definitely have to see how Amorim would set up the team, i'm very curious to see which players he will prefer and in what roles. Unfortunately i've reached a stage where I cannot be optimistic about a new manager anymore. Need to see consistent improvement on the pitch, clear tactical setup and patterns of play and RESULTS. Also, no getting slapped 3/4/5/7 by the opps, I cant believe ETH normalized that.
The problem is not the manchester united managers.... they have to get a better manager than city and fully back him if they want to win the league. They had it in mourinho but didn't back him. Who can beat guardiola fully backed with billions and good club architecture ? personnaly only mourinho could if backed properly by fans and club.
Solid video. The only thing that gives me pause here is that The Athletic's playstyle wheel gives Amorim a "central progression" score of 59/100. They describe central progression as crosses going from out to in per 100 passes. For reference, Amorim's teams have a press resistance score of 98/100. Either I'm misunderstanding the metric or the video contradicts The Athletic's data. I have to do more research, but I'd love to have a more dominant midfield, as opposed to constantly shifting the ball out wide. I'm also curious to see where Bruno would fit in. Mount is a clear winner here. He excelled in Tuchel's 3-4-3. Again, solid video.
A lot of people say Ten Hag not trying to implement his Ajax style got him sacked. I would say him trying to get United to play the Ajax style actually led to him being sacked. The squad just didn’t suit the style. The season with Rashford hitting 30 goals wasn’t an Ajax brand of football but it worked and United got results. If anything being more pragmatic would have led to more success and buy time in constructing a team that played his ideal style.
With strong links of Hjlumund during the summer to Utd. I think it’s inevitable we get him now. Probably one of the most important pieces of the Amorim set up!
Would love to see Gyokores come in with Amorim but we'd have to pay big money. I think Alvaro Fernandez/Ethan Williams would do great in a system like this as an advanced wingback. All that aside, I'm just relieved we don't have to watch another game managed under Ten Hag. Great analysis too mate.
1st thing ruben amorim should do is to sold rashford and bruno, I also Love bruno but we need to move on now and invest in young CAM likes of xabi , jamal , wirtz etc
Hopefully berrada can pull off a miracle again and convince davies to join , he will be perfect for this system . Who do you think should be the 2 10s ? I think he will start with rashford and bruno then change to mount , amad later .
All of them can work in theory, it just remains to be seen who actually performs the best, every week. I'd really love to see Amad become a regular, Mount as well. Ideally, I'd move Bruno next summer, but then again if Amorim manages to make him play great, then obviously he should be kept (since he just signed a new deal).
I think tactically ETH was good his biggest issue was not being able to fully communicate his ideas to his team. Amorim might be a bit of Ole and ETH without either of their weaknesses. A proper mix of tactics with vibes. Well that’s the dream at least.
You made the exact same video for ten hag when he signed for the club. You can show his tactics all you want but at least try and show us the weakness of the tactics all of these plays are against nobody’s. We will see if any of this translates in the premier league.
Ehhh no I didn’t. Ten Hag didn’t even play with a back 3 🤣 you’re just saying this because you don’t watch other leagues and so don’t know the difference between managers. You realise ten Hag doesn’t represent all non-English managers right? This is such basic thinking lmao
@ it’s not about 3 at the back more than how you show us his tactics and say he’s going to improve our team. It’s ok I know your trying to leech of the situation 👍
Yeah you’re football knowledge is poor. And no I’m not leeching, I’m analysing. You’re leeching in my comments. The reason you think it’s the exact same video is because your tactical knowledge is poor. They don’t even use the same system do they do how can it be the same video. Any way nice try at deflecting with the leeching comment even though it doesn’t make sense.
@@AtlantisFootball no one said they have similar tactics. I’m not even saying that he has bad tactics but if you think patterns are they way we will win anything I’ll advise you to look at our lineup. What do you expect a manager to do if his team hasn’t been healthy for a year. he won the fa cup final with mainno and Fernandes as strikers.
There were rumors Manuel Ugarte wasn't a ten Hag signing which is why he hasn't played much up to this point. Can't help but notice the same player flourished under Amorim to the point PSG paid 60mil to sign him. The board may actually have a plan B, make that what you will.
That’s how Ten Hag’s Ajax pattern was analyzed when he got signed. Two season’s in and he couldn’t get these crop of players to play the Ten Hag ball, question should be how Amorim would get these players to play his style? Next season would be more signings to suits his style of play and the cycle continues. Ten Hag was beating Champions League heavy hitters with Ajax and he can’t win Europa games with Manchester United. What we need right now is a mercenary, The Contes
Ten hag had similar hype when he came to united with a better win percentage than Amiron's sporting I don't know what to say about it ideally l wanted inzaghi
Amorim was my second choice, really happy with the decision. Think he has the chance to do pretty well right away as I think a lot of the current squad fit his philosophies already.
Ugarte and mainly in that Double pivot could be exceptional. This also gets the best out of zirkzhee. The back 3 of Yoro, licha, and de light could be excellent. Garnacho will also thrive here with an actual wing back allowing him time to make better choices. Rashford for me isnt firing and i think hojlund can play in that left side half space. Our frojt line is very interchangable
United's players are just incompetent and lazy, no matter what system a manager plays, I think that unless players like Rashford Bruno Shaw Casemiro are sold as soon as possible, the club won't succeed.
I would start playing Amass at LWB more, less defensive responsibility for him as a wingback where he can also utilize his strengths more. He will struggle at times definitely but so would others.
I disagree with rashford. He's been playing as a luxury player in a team that needs 11 players. His lack of effort as soon as he was frustrated always carried through the rest of the team.
I think it will be Hojlund with Bruno in the Rashford slot. But until Mainoo comes back I think Bruno will play as the 8 and Zirkzee the Bruno roll. Also think Garnacho will be the wingback
I hope to be proved wrong, but I'm not convinced that our current squad have the pace and technical ability to play Amorim's 3-4-3 set-up. My main worry is for Mainoo, yes, he is equipped to play the intricate short passes, but he is not blessed with pace and is not equipped to play box2box as the #8 is required to do in this system.
Thank god they choose a coach with same philosophy. Yes, technically the detail is different, but the big picture is still the same proactive, etc football. I was afraid that united will do the same mistake as before where the boards didn't know what they want, going LVG & mourinho shows they didn't know what direction/play style they want.
Ngl, I’m happy we got Ruben, but the way hjulmond receives, turns and passes scares me because only kobbie can do that Maybe ugarte can idk, he has barely played. But I remember eth ignoring that central pass because of players not stay composed in that position when pressed Damn the bounce passes couldn’t even get into the right spaces, whether it was to de ligt on dalot Especially when they surrounded like that. Ngl, de jong or caicedo would do right about now. Besides fullbacks, that is my concern
Couldn’t disagree more. Antony should never play for United again, his mentality and decision making are woeful. Garnacho should fit into the LM position. Amorim plays wingers in his LM and RM roles, yes they have more defensive responsibilities than in a formation with fullbacks, but they are wingers. One typically higher than the other, so I’d personally like to see Dalot on RM and Garna on LM
No matter how good tactics are but if you dont have players to execute this at higher level,it wont work. At United ,he has to win and win with conviction. Like all managers,he need players who have good footballing iq,who can make short passes, who can recieve ball in pressure. We have players who dont run to support defense, who have one frequency of play,do not adapt. Its very difficult to not play them with noises around them. Lets see how long he will last. Certain player would have to go snd then only,we can execute what we want.
i honestly believe if Antony swallows his pride outs his head down and becomes a left wingback he’s got the potential to become one of the best in his position
With all due respect - I don't think playing through the middle will work, especially in the PL and especially with our players. They'll lose the ball within the first pass from the CBs.
has amorim used a back 4 yet? if he is to join immediately man utd may need a personel change given the system reliance on fullbacks and diffrent roles for midfielders. and if it doesnt work then they again need a change . i however believe he may surprise with a back 4 that translates into the same system sporting uses
The system doesn't rely on fullbacks though. They're pretty much wingers, and on the right we are sorted. On the left, you could see many different players as well, Garnacho, Antony, Mazraoui, Dalot, could all work.
@_Diktator well, true is the system may not rely on wingers as it relies on the 4 midfielders more often playing quickly in the middle of the park. But u need the width and u need people good at dribbling chance creation and scoring threat. Coz the opposition is better in the premier league But also, defensive duties coz man utd wingers don't have a good defensive reputation. I believe his tactically innovative I hope he showcases the flexibility with a back 4. While the back 5 makes the instructions and positioning simple, we have seen teams adapt to it well like it happened in Conte s.2 Chelsea and also at spurs. But given amorim is more reliant on the centre of the park to punish opponents he could make it work. He will be interesting to watch. More interesting would be naiglesman
Yoro would come in for some games but wasn’t sure when he was back. Hojlund can play that role as well but I think Zirkzee’s link play will make him the better option for the system as a whole
@@AtlantisFootball Hojlund is definitely THE striker that would fit Amorim's system. Sure Zirkzee is good linking up the play and dropping deep, and I feel that he will improve under him. But Hojlund is definitely a clear choice there. I can even see Zirkzee in one of the 10 spots, being used from time to time.
The front three is more of a natural number 9 and two number 10.. this set up needa players with good ball control and technical skills plus vision to spot cordination on either side of the wing backs and strikers movements. Rashford cant fit the front two role..it more of mount, bruno , eriksen and diallo as the front two and number 9 would be hojlund, rashford or zirkzee. Rashford number 9 workes during tenhag where he registered 32 goals contribution.
These players don’t understand tactics it all sounds like gibberish to them. Ten hag was big on automatism. Creating patterns 2 years in once the players face adversity they forget the process and reset to their individualist ideals
His systems were not perfect don’t tell me losing 4-0 to brentford and palace were system issues. Same thing under ragnick ole and Jose. Shaw has been here for 9 years. Maguire 6,lindelof Dalot 5. Ten hag was not perfect not saying he should have been kept but these players should share a bulk of the responsibilities
Shaw hasn’t even been playing. Stop with excuses. Ten Hag’s system was the issue. It’s not a discussion. The results have proved that. It’s not the players, it was ten Hag.
@@AtlantisFootball He had some good moments, but nowhere near "pretty good". I know the standards are low for him, as he's been awful for a long time, but come on.
Nope you come on. Objectively Rashford has been one of our better players in the last month. It’s just people prefer to blame him for some reason. The players haven’t even been that bad. New manager improves them.
As good as Alvaro has been, he should not be seen as an immediate fix for our LB, LWB role. The intensity and physicality if the premier league is way higher than the Portuguese first division. We need Shaw back and may be if we buy back Alvaro, he deputizes for Shaw. I don't think we will have the money for 2 LWBs

Also, no getting slapped 3/4/5/7 by the opps, I cant believe ETH normalized that.
Blew the fucking ear drums off me with the start pal christ almighty
Yeah my bad 🤣
The problem is not the manchester united managers.... they have to get a better manager than city and fully back him if they want to win the league. They had it in mourinho but didn't back him. Who can beat guardiola fully backed with billions and good club architecture ? personnaly only mourinho could if backed properly by fans and club.
This was a great video, the Anthony suggestion on the left is interesting and this might be the type of manager to unlock that player.
Idk if there is anything to unlock on Antony 😂
@@noblesavvy7803 😅
Do you think antony can still pull off the redemption arc as a LWB?
Back to the day that many fans were Ten Hag In and blamed bro for keep complaining about ETH tactic 😂😂😂
Probably one of the most important pieces of the Amorim set up!
he was ugarte’s replacement at sporting… who we now have at the club.
We have urgarte. The original.
We have Hojlund already
1st thing ruben amorim should do is to sold rashford and bruno,
I also Love bruno but we need to move on now and invest in young CAM likes of xabi , jamal , wirtz etc
Amad new contract
New Left Winger which can invert
New Lw. Hojlund. Amad
Mainoo. Ugarte
New Lb. Dalot/mazraoui
Lisandro. De ligt. Yoro
Onana
1 or 2 cbs
1 Lw ,1 rw, 1 lb, 2 cm
In 2 season
Nice work 👏
watching out for counter atttacks is also a caution because in the premier league u will get punished very often compared to portuguese league
True. I'm hoping the rewards outweigh the risks. I hope he succeeds.
One manager can transform a player, i hope Amorim gets the best out of our players, and I hope Rashy gets back to what he was
Fire video 📹 🔥 👌
I believe the players fit very well in his style of play but only main issues is LB maybe he can utilise Amass
I preferred Sebastian Hoeneß for the manager position, hope to see Amorim do welll with our team.
Time to sell all winger
Stop being bitter. Ten Hag wasn’t good enough as I said over a year ago. Just accept reality he’s gone now and rightly so.
Ten hag had similar hype when he came to united with a better win percentage than Amiron's sporting
I don't know what to say about it ideally l wanted inzaghi
Italians especially of his generation are often too attached to their home country
I swear, i don't wanna see long balls and counters with garnacho and rashford ever again.
i admire how fast you were able to make this
good content
Amorim was my second choice, really happy with the decision. Think he has the chance to do pretty well right away as I think a lot of the current squad fit his philosophies already.
Who was your first?
Ugarte and mainly in that Double pivot could be exceptional. This also gets the best out of zirkzhee. The back 3 of Yoro, licha, and de light could be excellent. Garnacho will also thrive here with an actual wing back allowing him time to make better choices.
Rashford for me isnt firing and i think hojlund can play in that left side half space. Our frojt line is very interchangable
Same we talk about ten hag when he comes in i prefer not to predict how this new manager will make man utd play
Amorim is a bit lucky than Erik. He has footballing people at the top
Seems like Mainoo would benefit in this system
We don't have CBs for that system, we have CBs to sit low and our team to go into counter attack.😅
Yeah defence and lwb will be an issue. Let’s see what Amorim does
Based on history, I've no excitement until positive results 😮
Fun fact Rashford made every manager he played under got sacked😂
Rashford is the reason Ten Hag didn't fail in his first season
Zirkzee is gonna kill it with this manager
I'm really excited to see how Amorim will transform this team, How do you see Hojlund being utilized in this system?
All that analysis and you put out that team. Stinks
No it doesn’t lmao
I think United should sell maguire in the winter and get diamonde. He will give them the pace and physicality to play a high line.
Am really excited about it. Amorim is not ETH. If you think so, you are very mistaken.
Then Hag could've fixed a lot of issues if he just increased tempo and played a way higher back line in order to improve the press.
Guys we are forgetting harry amas .he is good at that lwb
just been confirmed…He’s a RED
Ngl, I’m happy we got Ruben, but the way hjulmond receives, turns and passes scares me because only kobbie can do that
Maybe ugarte can idk, he has barely played. But I remember eth ignoring that central pass because of players not stay composed in that position when pressed
Damn the bounce passes couldn’t even get into the right spaces, whether it was to de ligt on dalot
Especially when they surrounded like that.
Ngl, de jong or caicedo would do right about now.
Besides fullbacks, that is my concern
This was my best pick to replace Ten Haag but however I would have loved Simeone Inzaghi
Front 3 will be Rashford, Hojlund and Bruno. Hojlund will explode under Amorim, he’s basically Gyokeres.
Bruno let Ten hag down 😢😢😢hope he will improve now
Minaoo will benefit from this pattern
Lisandro Martinez and Onana will cook under this system
Where u find the clips of Amorim in the dressing room?
The question is will he have the balls to bench Rashford and Maguire if they fail to perform.
Brighton made Ten Hag throw away his tactics, Amorims first game is Chelsea😂
So he plays Antony and Zirkzee and drops Garnacho and Hojlund......riiiiiight....
@@DH-lk6eo ?? Who said that
Poor guy doesn’t have a chance with these players. I remember everyone saying this about ten Haag. Rashford and rest will get him sacked
Surely Amass on left instead of Antony.. come on now
Amass isn’t really a LWB. Could be an option but Ten Hag barely gave him game time so he might need some time
MANCHESTER UNITED DON'T A SYSTEM WHICH WILL SUITE SOME PLAYER IT NEED A SYSTEM THAT WOULD SUITE EVERY PLAYER
i'd give him 1.5 years before fans and media ask for the sack
The new manager first need to clean house. We need that open heart❤ surgery.
No we don’t, the squad is fine
i honestly believe if Antony swallows his pride outs his head down and becomes a left wingback he’s got the potential to become one of the best in his position
You talk about his ATTACKING, what about his DEFENCE?
I think hojlund starts ahead of zirkee and dalot starts at the right wing back. That's my opinion though
I am here to learn my next fc25 tactics
as if tactics matter in fc25
I’m curious but who was your first choice?
With all due respect - I don't think playing through the middle will work, especially in the PL and especially with our players.
They'll lose the ball within the first pass from the CBs.
THE QUESTION IS DOES HE HAVE THE GUTS TO BENCH BRUNO AND RASHFORD WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING SHIT
has amorim used a back 4 yet? if he is to join immediately man utd may need a personel change given the system reliance on fullbacks and diffrent roles for midfielders. and if it doesnt work then they again need a change .
i however believe he may surprise with a back 4 that translates into the same system sporting uses
Coz the opposition is better in the premier league
But also, defensive duties coz man utd wingers don't have a good defensive reputation.
Why not yoro at cb and Hojlund up top to replicate gyokeres
Yoro would come in for some games but wasn’t sure when he was back. Hojlund can play that role as well but I think Zirkzee’s link play will make him the better option for the system as a whole
@@AtlantisFootball Yh good points tbh, I think allot of players cld play in different roles in this formation if the set up is right
@@AtlantisFootball Hojlund is definitely THE striker that would fit Amorim's system.
Sure Zirkzee is good linking up the play and dropping deep, and I feel that he will improve under him. But Hojlund is definitely a clear choice there.
I can even see Zirkzee in one of the 10 spots, being used from time to time.
@@AtlantisFootballnope amorim wants hojlund to mimic gyokeres role
Let's be honest, we are probably going to great for 15 games, then the mediocrity will set in and in 2026 we will go for Nagelsmann
Are there any sporting players you'd like to see follow amorim realistically like diomande or inacio etc
bro the monochrome TV intro is too loud
Sorry bro I’ll make it louder
Man Utd players will sulk being told to do this.
No they won’t. They didn’t sulk when ten Hag told them to do this. Players are fine. Problem was the fan base and manager
@@AtlantisFootball We'll see
We have seen. They haven’t sulked
@@AtlantisFootball Why did they down tools on Ten Hag?
If am amorim i will not play Rashford rather than mount
what about bruno..?
who's your first choice?
all systems will be ruined by trashford and boono
No they won’t. This is just an agenda. Rashford and Bruno were excellent until ten Hag’s system ruined them
Volume is low
The players are fine. The issue was Ten Hag’s system.
What players? Who? Name them? We can’t keep saying “the players”
Yes they were system issues. Absolutely. Be honest do you actually understand the tactical side of the game?
Shaw hasn’t even been playing. Stop with excuses. Ten Hag’s system was the issue. It’s not a discussion. The results have proved that.
It’s not the players, it was ten Hag.
Can't get rashford to play .let's move on
Have you not watched him this season? He’s been pretty good. I swear you lot just stick to a narrative no matter what lmao
@@AtlantisFootball"good" lol
@@AtlantisFootball He had some good moments, but nowhere near "pretty good". I know the standards are low for him, as he's been awful for a long time, but come on.
Yeah he has been, he’s been playing under a horrific players and been one of our best players in the last month
Nonsense Shaw is washed.
