    that picking pattern is taught different by everybody. some people upstroke the high f# octave. i like this one with the open E before the low F#

    Cool.
    Do you know a recent do you think that's simple like that but there's all these little nuances that guys like Paige and Back....
    it's just like crazy man .
    First glance...
    The song is simplistic chord or notes patterns alternating...
    Downbeat emphasis...
    But the reason it blows your mind and Rocks your world?
    Those 5 little nuances every bar time... that you showed us.
    The way great Guitarists compose & play compositions with severzl nuanced moves to get sounds and tones...
    Still just amazes me..
    Oh⁉️
    1 observation.
    See if anybody else agrees
    😊Maybe it's late but...
    I had no idea until your very good tutorial: 👍
    Immigrant Song sounds maybe ...
    James Gang inspired.
    Especially on the IMMIGRANT Outro..
    Makes sense I guess.
    Stories of Joe Walsh hung with Page early 70s.
    Flew to London with a guitar Page wanted to buy.....Gibson..
    Walsh gave it to him ..
    Anyway ..
    I'm a long time drummer performing , recording, all that..
    Taking steady guitar lessons from covid-19 till now.
    I like your style ❤
    Thanks 🎉❤

    Perfect, but it is SO hard to find a Zeppelin live version or a cover version where the tremolo part is there!
    NO one fucking does it & I don't know why, not even Zeppelin on the live versions.

    • @GuitarNinjas
      @GuitarNinjas  2 роки тому +1

      Funny enough I use a tremolo pedal when playing this live! Totally agree! Jimmy never used a tremolo pedal live, and the actual recording is using tremolo from a Fender amp (inspired by Rumble, Link Ray). So... there's someone who does it live, ME! lol. Thanks for watching!

    • @GuitarNinjas

      Are you talking about the octave bends in verse?

      @@GuitarNinjas it's in the live version, it bridges the measures. It sounds like he bends up twice on the 4th fret g string. At the 49th second into the song he does it

    • @GuitarNinjas

      @@Bertrumes_Shiney_Factory got you... the first time he bends the 4th fret G (using ring finger) while index finger presses on the 2nd of B. Then the next verse he moves ring finger up to the 7th fret of G while index is on B fret 5. you only bend the G string
      Hope this helps!

    How does he get the tone?

    • @GuitarNinjas
      @GuitarNinjas  4 роки тому +3

      My guess is the album version is the 59 Tele with a Fender amp (hence the tremolo). Live it's pretty simply, Les Paul through Marshall. Ultimately
      the tone comes through the players technique

    sorry but, it's very good what you are doing for the most part but, two sections in particular are very debatable....to be honest I would not have stipulated that it was THE right way...sorry.. .my comment is not intended to denigrate everything you do...

    • @GuitarNinjas
      @GuitarNinjas  2 роки тому

      Christian .. first, the videos are labeled "real" not "right. I do that because I'm focused on the counting and dynamics, those elements are how you really play music. Labeling something as, "right" is subjective unless proven through science and or the player who composed it. With very little live footage of this song, I took what I watched Jimmy Page play and brought it to a YT video for everyone to enjoy. I'm confident that the parts I'm showing in this song are accurate to what Page played. However, if you have a different POV please make a video and tag us in it. Nothing wrong with a debate if it's for the betterment of the musical space. You are also welcome to come onto the channel as a guest a teach it to us live, the offer stands. Thanks for watching!

    Your bass players aren't all that great if they don't know that they're supposed to play a C over the guitars Gm.
